| Our Own Path | Started by: Draven on Nov 30, '08 23:38 |

Draven walked amongst the bloody remains that now haunt Chicago. Her head hung as tears smeared her face. Seeing a child amongst the disaster she walks over to her. "Child are you lost?" Her voice trying to stay steady as she sees the remains of a women next to the child. "No. I just want to sit and mourn for a bit. I lost my mother today." Looking up at Draven the child's voice cracked trying to hold back the sorrow. "Child today you lost someone dear to you, but you must not grieve forever. Come create a new path for yourself. One not filled with hate or revenge for a death, but one of your own. No more tears now." Draven reached her hand out to the child and helped her up and watched as she walked away to find a new path. Continuing on her walk through the empty streets Draven stopped as she saw a few people gathered and walked over to them. Seeing amongst the crowd an empty soap box she remembered hearing her mother speak to people there and she stepped up. Fellow Mafioso, It has been a hard weekend for many if not all. We saw mothers and fathers fall. We saw sons and daughters fall. It is so important that even among all of this we realize that we have our own paths. Those paths of our fallen mothers and fathers are gone, let their memory live on but not through hate or revenge. Do not wish ill on those who made decisions to change this world. Realize every decision that was made had a reason, regardless whether you understand it or not. Walk you new path with your head held high and do well in your accomplishments. |

Do not think of your parent's achievements, unless you're aspiring to beat them, and do not think of your parent's affiliations, unless you're choosing to use them to your advantage. In a nutshell, it doesn't matter who your father or your mother was. Each person has a chance for a fresh start. It's whether or not they choose to take advantage of the fresh start that matters. Mane sighs, and casts a wistful glance up at the sky. Such a long weekend, so many people dead. I can only hope that their children choose the right path, to borrow your metaphor Draven. |

| It may be a "fresh start", but if your family line before you committed crimes against our world (Rogue, random shooting, spamming, ect), a stigma remains. If your father or mother lived a good life, then yes, it could be called a fresh start. But, for those few that their family lines have rouged over and over, should they still have a stigma on them? I believe so. If someone's bloodline has done nothing good for this world, why keep giving them "fresh starts"? If you do give them a chance, statistics are not in your favor I'm afraid. | |

| I agree with wild turkey. I think that everyone deserves a second chance, after all, we all make mistakes from time to time. I do not, however think that third and fourth and fifth (etc...) chances should be automatically given. Granted, each person has the option to follow in his or her parents footsteps but we must remember that it is their parents and grand parents who taught them what they know. If a person's family lineage has shown that they are not trust worthy, it should be safe to assume that they are at higher risk than most to show similar behavior. This is just good business sense so to speak. | |

I understand how much easier it is to start with friends in the right places when we lose a family member, maybe a mother or father even a brother. Is not always easy to pluck up the courage and face the risks some of our family members did or if it is worth the risk and time to others. We live in a simple world where most of the time their is one way out and the strength of our family friends are pretty much the only thing that keep us going which rules out a totally fresh start sometimes. As for rogues I break rogues down in to three groups, ones out of loyalty, ones for a purpose and ones out of boredom. Some of us have the honour of becoming made with a family and furthering that, so if we took a pledge shouldn't we rogue if we have the ability sometime? i know it sounds controversial but is the feelng some people have however disliked, successful or unsuccessful they are. The bored and the assassins i think should be judge differently as who knows why they are hiding in your crew just to do same again. do we take to the point where we exclude groups from HQ's by not giving more then another chance or attempt re-education on the younger family lines who may be easier to convince. I realise this creates huge underground pools of sometimes old family names but is never easy to have a perfect blend; is what keeps the excitement and risk. |

| Everyone always deserves a fresh start. A chance to earn back the respect, honor and to prove their loyalty if it was once lost. Some died in vein others died because they're paths got crossed and they took the wrong one. Anyone can recover from their past, but it's up to them to decide their future. | |

| The hard part is the trek back from the damnation they find themselves in. Once loyalty is betrayed, and a man loses trust in one of his family he begins to doubt everything. It is better for a man to look ahead to the path he is choosing than for a man to misstep and be forced to take the dangerous and difficult walk back. | |

Eq over hears a small gaggle talking in the streets and wonders over to listen more closely. The gaggle goes quiet and Eq speaks up.. Each to their own, on how you choose to live life. Life begins and ends and no son nor daughter should be held responsible for their parents actions. If the said party leads from where their parents left off, then they will end up where their parents are. It only makes sence. Revenge is fun! Eq wanders off lighting a cuban |

After listened the words of Draven, JayKay speaks up his thought "We are what we do. Our parents might something in the past that will remain still & shape something that we call reputation. But that's the only thing we have until we prove ourselves worthy to be trusted. So, I guess, everybody's got a chance to walk on the new path. Our own path. So, yes, I agree with you Draven." |

listens to the words of Draven Well Draven i agree with you 110% here all the decsions made by everyone might be there doing but not always just there decsion it might also be other peoples and there are always reasons for this not everyone has to also state the reason why either but you shoudl always remember that what happend to you father or mother is not a signal for you to take there revenge because somtimes if not most times revenge can take over you and make you loose more then what your father or mother lost.... |
