Blaise listened to Vinco's speech from a small distance. She felt his anguish, and she started unblinkingly as he pulled the trigger and shot himself. After having coffee with her boss, she decided to go back to the corner where Vinco had killed himself, and listened at what several people had to say.

I have to admit, part of me feels for this poor soul. According to him, he had the chance to be a crew leader for a short time, and then when he closed up shop, he didn't have the opportunity to get another prominent position.

During the time of my stay in Detroit, before I was sent off to Quinten's family, I had to leave Bianca's family, under her orders, to join, and in the process of that, had lost a business warehouse, and all the money I had sunk into it to keep it afloat. I was told to keep going, and in doing so, lost every last bit of money in that warehouse. I've yet to see nor will see, any money in being refunded for this mistake."

I had to bring up that part to my boss for some clarification, because I was not sure what Vinco meant by that. It sounded like Vinco was very upset about his business going belly up because of the transfer.

Then I started looking for clues, similar to what Orithyia did, about his activity. I started replaying things that he said in my head...

I have found myself in the similar circumstance of where he was, disconnected from the family, or the bosses of the city, by Bianca. I had never once, after I relinquished my crew from the start of this tale,  been really spoken with about the regards of doing more, and had just after instances of the small things, been spoken with, yelled at, reprimanded, and ultimately given a warning for things that should of been a right of me to do.

It seems like because Vinco wasn't in the "big leagues" he couldn't connect with the rest of his family, which frustrated him. For someone who had the chance to set up, I would think he should have had the know-how to make himself useful to his organization. If he felt that opportunities were not being provided to him, he could have created his own (assuming that they went with, and not against the family's goals).

I think a lot of people could identify with Vinco on some level - the need to feel like you are valued, and to be rewarded with a certain level of trust and responsibility. Too bad he didn't feel he could initiate a discussion with his leader about how to make use of his abilities, and too bad he didn't have anyone to talk to him so he could be guided towards a more positive path.
