| A Lesson Learned? | Started by: HandiMan on Dec 06, '08 15:11 |

It was a late night as Handi sat down and enjoyed a glass of Scotch. The phone rang and Joey jumped to answer it. He looked upset as he began to write on a notepad . He hung up and immediately walked over to HandiMan and gave him the message. Handi looked down, read the note and became disgusted. "Damn it Joe! I give these bums a place to stay and they disrespect me." Handi was pissed. He slammed his glass of Scotch down on the table turned to Joey. "Go get the boys and handle this problem. Even though Alfred is new here, he's not going to get away with shooting at other families. We don't need this crap and won't tolerate it. I took that bum in; now we are going to take him out." Joey knew the boss was pissed and didnt even want to tell him he agreed. He hurried to the car, got in, started it and sped off to Frankie's apartment. Joey got to Frankie's, parked the car and jumped out. He ran to Frankie's door and pounded on it. Frankie woke up and starting pulling on his clothes as he opened the door. "Get dressed and make it fast. The boss is pissed and has a job for us." Joey yelled while standing just outside the opened door. "You got it." Frankie yelled back as he ran around his apartment getting ready fro this job. He knew Handi called on him when there was a problem that had to dealt with, so Frankie grabbed his heater and stuck it into his coat. Frankie ran out the door and jumped in the car with Joey. They drove off to deal with the problem. "Well Frank here it is." Joey said as they rolled to a stop. "Hes staying on the third floor apartment number 8. You know the deal; handle it." Joey stayed in the car and kept it running. He heard a gun shot and than saw Frankie running out the door. Frankie hopped in turned to Joey "Problem solved". A few minutes later, Joey dropped Frankie off and drove back to the Head Quarter. The next day when the mail came, Handi thumbed through the stack and saw something odd. He pulled the letter out of the stack and read it.
Handi chuckled and passed the note to Joey. Joey's eyes got wide as he read the message. Joey said"Boss you want me and Frankie to handle this guy?" Handi looked at Joey and replied, "Hes only a civilian and obviously the son of that bum you and Frank took care of. I don't think hes gonna make it too far in this world, especially if he keeps to his father's ways. Joey you would think that people would learn from mistakes but not all do. Just be sure we don't take him in. There is no room in our crew for these miserable screw ups." Handi took a sip of coffee and returned to reading the morning mail. |

Gambino nods in agreement. Yep. I've had a few of those myself. Some learn. Some don't. I'd like to think that you coming to the streets like this will help newcomers avoid making this mistake. |

Tips his cap to the gentleman after sharing the story A fine tale good sir. Sadly, one which is all to common in this thing of ours. As hard as it is at times, we need to remember that we must walk our own path and not live and die by the events that our parents were part of. I must commend you for the patience shown and the decision made in this case. A moment of madness, especially when overcome with the grief of losing a loved one, can all to often lead to the demise of a mafiosa. This only serves to increase the hate in the hearts of the imediate family. This viscious circle can all to often lead to an entire family blood line leaving our world for the peace and tranqility of *shudders at the thought of it* 'normal life'. Sips slowly from his hipflask as he ponders further on the story and wonders just how often this sad event has happened over the generations to those gathered around them |

Smiles as he listens to Handiman's speech and then replies quietly in his ear There is a reason my friend, why God allows for more than one bullet. He winks, tips his hat, and walks off into a dark alley |

Chuckles My family line has come in contact with so many of these heathens. I've heard stories about bastards badmouthing him from the citizen position. Mafiosos are just like any other group of people. A few winners, but a whole lot of losers. |
