TODAY! Is a day of mourning. The mightiest and most powerful of all Rourkes has been shot today...no no not Thomas or Brian...I said mighty! Today, we have lost Waffles. Without his merry glow the coming holidays just won't be the same! So dear folks! I commend this day National Waffles day! Where we binge on waffles in memory of the old boy. So get out there and feast! And celebrate his memory in the best way possible. With a mouth full of waffles! (Bacon not included.) |

Awesome likes waffles. Especially waffles with an orange-flavoured syrupy sauce. That would be heaven. And so the death of WafflesRourke saddens him. He expresses his sadness in the only way he knows how. By not killing things. See, he likes to kill things for fun and pleasure. But when sad is not happy or joyous enough to engage in this hobby. So he lets things live. He even stops walking into people in the street. Hell, he doesn't even have enough humour in him to hope for children to fall in the sea and fail to surface. That's how sad he is. "I... I... I... I don't know what to say. WafflesRourke is dead. It's like something inside me has died. But not in a good way. In a bad and terrible and painful way. And other stuff of the same sort. Sniff." Yes, he actually said "sniff". He does that. Another of his strange peculiarities. He says actions. It's really rather clever. Like saying "sigh" instead of actually sighing. "Sigh." Awesome reaches into his Pocket of Awesomeness and removes from it a white rose. He lays it on the floor and takes a seat, cross-legged. "WafflesRourke, I trust you find happiness in heaven. And I hope that the angels decide to not eat you. Because that might not be particularly enjoyable. For you, at least. They'd probably love it." Awesome lies down and rests his head. And falls asleep. In the middle of the street. Where it's wet. And busy. And most likely the perfect place in which to be trodden. |
