This world we have here. What's going to happen to it? The current CL's seem to be doing very well. With no wars since the DiscoDuck War; things seem to be finally taking shape around here. And a stable community being built is insight. All the HQ's are doing well. With numbers increasing everyday less deaths, more friendly conversations and happenings going on. Surely it's all good? But is it? After all, we are La Costa Nostra, and La Costa Nostra is the Mafia. Mafia is not about friendly conversations and happenings. It's about Respect, Loyalty, and, most of the time, Death. So with no wars, are we really living up to the name La Costa Nostra? Or are we going about our individual lives too freely, and not standing our ground and starting an argument once in a while. This will not last, the stable community I spoke of earlier. It will die, it will diminish and there will be nothing left of it. And yet we will re=build. Our sons and daughters will come into this world and re-build the families and the Streets and the Bar District. So when is this going to happen. Nothing is happening now. We are just sitting around, waiting, just waiting for something to happen. But it doesn't look like it is. Do you want something to happen? Do you want us to live up to the name of La Costa Nostra I have spoke of so many times? Or are you on the opposite side? Do you like the peace, and just want it to continue? Me? Well, I kind of like the peace, at least there is not much of a risk of you dieing in your sleep, never knowing why you were. But at the same time I think something needs to happen. That's just my opinion though... What's yours? |

| I think wars are a natural occurence with this world, however, I also do not think they need to occur every two weeks to keep people from getting bored. A death here and there might get people talking, but overall, prosperity and the betterment of the community are more what the mafia is and was about than it is about death and war. Both of those are last minute options, not actions that should be practiced with regularity. | |

Yes we are the Mafia, yes we kill other families, and we lie and cheat to do so. But this is not all what we are about. We need a point to life here, and that is not to kill every time our blood line gets that little longer. We need to have a good strong community, and with this we can prosper, grow strong, and be happy and content. But this will not last forever, nothing lasts forever, and all good things come to an end. so i say we sit back, relax and smile, because in 2 minutes time or 2 weeks time we could be in a far far different situation. *Donnie strolls down the road and whistles to himself contently* |

During the war with DiscoDuck this world lost a great many high ranking members. The war was long and hard and only now are people really getting back to a normal way of life. War is a unavoidable hazard in this world of ours. Eventually even the best of friends will fall out. When this happens the world will again be filled with fear and excitement. I have, for a time, usually enjoyed the quiterer periods in our lives. The times when you can have conversations, have debates in the streets and build new friendships but then I would be lying if I said that war was something I hated. It help brings people closer together and shows you if your family is truly loyal to you. However, right now i strive to try and make this community as good as I possibly can do. I am sure all the leaders feel the same way. This can only be achieved by having a solid and continous base to build upon. Even if the current leaders lay the foundations it will be worthwhile but I hope I get the time to build the whole damn building and beyond. |

| I think that periods of peace are neccesary even in the world of crime. We need to take a step back from stabbing eachothers hands and try to heal up a bit before anyone starts making a ruckus again. For those of you who long for the chance to go to war, you'll get it sooner or later. But I think most would agree that given the state most of the community is in, it would be the worst thing to do to it. I know we'll see it all again, but quite frankly I am going to enjoy every bit of rest I get during this time of peace between the families. | |

I'm so tired of hearing people discuss this. Please, enter the other discussions and save us the time of hearing the same one over again. Now, with my frustrasion aside, let me discuss your point. War will always be around. As others pointed out, people are rebuilding their lives. La Costra Nostra does not mean we all die. No. It was said very well in the "Four Pillars" discussion. Mafia does not mean death. You think people join the mafia to die? That wouldn't make sense. I don't understand how you can contradict yourself so many times, good Sir. How can you say you enjoy the peace but want something to happen? You're asking for a bullet to the head, not change. You may think you're trying to get change. But in reality the only ones who can truely make change are the leaders. Yes, others can attempt it, and a select few will succeed. The mafia is about living. Making money. And doing things you couldn't do in the normal world as a civilian. It's about business. It's about a community. No, we don't have to hold hands. But we don't have to pistol whip every Jow Blow that walks past us. I understand that you are already anxious. You want action. Well, if nothing comes to you, then you come to it. But chances are if you start something without purpose, it'll sink faster than the Titanic; which, ironically, I think sank pretty slow. But, anyway, you get my point. Start something constructive. |

SingWhenYourWinning. I don't WANT a war right now. That wasn't my point. I was saying that this mafia world won't last the way it is now. Nobody knows when it will end, but it surely will someday. I didn't want a war straight away. I was trying to say I like the peace, but I also like the tense and excitement a war bring, having that fear that you may have died at any time. But you haven't and you are still walking. The peace should last, yes it should. But not forever, with only 5 days after the war with DD, peace actually sounds a pretty good option. But it will get boring, you will wake up, not have any suspense, and the world will trot along like is has done every day for a long time. Peace Should Last. But Not Forever. |

Everyone around here who has been around as long as my bloodline will know what to expect. A big war, quiet times for a little, a CL attacks another CL in a power struggle, new familys appear, maybe a rogue appears and wipes out a few faces, rinse and repeat. During these quiet times, the more sensible amoungst us will be preparing for the next war or attack. No-one knows when, but what we do know for sure, is that it is coming. |

| Jay-C, it just seems funny that you come to the streets within the same week of a MAJOR war and ask how long the peach will last. Isn't it a bit premature to even speak of it? Is it not a waste of time to talk about peace not lasting and wars will come again? I think we all know that people will die again sometime in the future, but honestly, after saying RIP to about 100 people not even a week ago, war is not even in my mind right now. I, like many others, lost a lot recently, so I am not anxious to bring moot points to the street and proclaim peace as a temporary euphoria. | |

| La CostaNostras is not about killing. Its about organized crime. But don't quote me boy I haven't say s**t. Sometimes killing is in involved with this these of ours. However it does not define it. And excessively killing in this thing of ours is frowned on. An example of that is SWYW has killed a lot for people due to the war and now his name is back. I don't know what that means or how that affect him, but for some reason I don't think that's a good thing. I see this example as the game telling us killing excessively is not a part of la caosta nostras. | |

Jay-C steps up once again, to try to clear things up A lot of you may think now that I am a trigger happy mafioso who loves war's, killing people, and deaths. Well, how wrong could you be. I am not trigger happy, nor do I love killing people, war's, or deaths. However, saying that, I LIKE a little change once in a while, weather it be in the form of a war, or whatever. I am not looking for trouble trying to start a war. Many of you have also said "How can you want a war, 1 week after there have been 100+ deaths" Again, you have mis-understood me. I DO NOT want a war so close to the last one. To be quiet honest, I don't really want 100+ deaths to occur EVER in a short space of time i.e 2-3 days. It's not healthy for the community, or for trying to build a stable one. I hope now you understand what I really meant by starting this topic. |
