Looking out of the window the rain was coming again I thought and that damn wind.  How are people gonna steal for me when they don't come out in the rain I thought to myself.

Walking along the high street I thought would do the usual runs, pick up the protection money and look for future employees as I generally enjoy.  As I nursed a coffee sipping it after another of Drunkys impromptu parties had started as a reason to drink.  As I nodded to the young ladies thinking how some of them will be working the street corners one day I noticed something was missing.  I thought hard as I checked wallet, keys, pistol, clothes

I thought to myself it's always the important one as I paused

and then noticed.  The homeless no longer rolled papers up their sleeves to insulate themselves, or wear layers of newspapers as blankets.  Benches no longer had newspapers as almost a cushion or seat cover or when read and trash bins never lay full of papers where people had disposed once they read it.  Deciding to sit down, I thought to myself as i talked to myself as often happens

"What has happend to the newspaper industry, we rarely see funny pages, newspapers any more, where most cities used to publish one?"

Looking over at people watching me talking to myself, I let of a usual flash of the pistol to shoe them along

"has our creativity dropped to such a level or is it simply the give a hug, have a tea party peaceful environment nurtured by co-operation and the defences offered via city hall and the lack of violence it creates"

pausing to sip my coffee a simple sigh

"just like my women, bitter and murky"

"Even during a time of takedown the papers seem not to emerge any more, more some bickering and discussion after something happens then all calms as the streets have diversified more"

sipping the coffee again I thought

"Diversification is always good, is it also the way forward and even re-hashed topics return, but if we all diversify in the same direction will we also be back in the same boat where the streets come to a crawl again? or if the paper industry re-emerges are we gonna be back to one line comments just to boost someones face showing on a street like with new crew, godfather speeches?"

Pausing as I sip the coffee I  notice the growing crowd continue to look at me like a nut job

I'll have you know the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company produces tens of thousands of pages of paper each day, and we get no credit at all for our work. Where is the demand for the paper industry? Everyone uses it each day to write down stories and speeches, but not once have I gotten a "Thank you" mail. 

Toberius, obviously flustered, removes a cigarette from his silver case and takes a long drag before exhaling. 

Now that I've gotten that out in the open. I would too like to see a return of some papers to the street. The majority of our income stems from paper sales and with the severe lack of published articles, our figures are beginning to look a bit squiffy. 

Firstly, kudos to you on having parents who hated you so badly they gave you that stupid name. I can't bring myself to pronounce it, so I'm going to just call you Bruce from now on. 

Now Bruce, if you want the paper industry to start churning out the funnies again, (and I assume it is just the funnies you want because deep down who really gives a shit about how to bake a soufflé? I've got a guy for that shit and he knows his way around a soufflé better than Sexecutioner around a gaping anus) you're a businessman. As a businessman Bruce, why not offer an incentive to get things moving again? 

I'm sure there are plenty of aspiring editors out there who might be swayed to get their publishers back on the phone to work for the mighty Bruce of Chicago. What an opportunity that would be. I'm tenting just thinking about it.

Looks forward to Snidelys good news. He remembered how in the past papers had opened for pride, self promotion or team work in the past even if news was slow.

Interesting point BackToShootPeeps. Before the May war, there were alot of newspapers being published but now it's nonexistent. Our community had recent take downs here and there, but other than that, perhaps there's not much to report on anymore. I dunno.

I do hope to see another issue being published from the Bloody Tissue. Their first one was great and by far my favorite!
