Two deaths and a mission. (open RP) Started by: Vince_DiMartelli on Dec 16, '08 20:00
Sal reached into his breast pocket, producing a pack of cigarettes, he tossed them over to his paisan, who easily caught the goods. They both remained silent for most of the ride, leaving the city limits, taking the country roads, eveuntally they were in sight of motor city, Detroit. Between the both of them the pack was left light after the hours on the wintry roads. They stopped in an abadoned industrial park, on the outskirts of the city. The car that had been following them, continued on the road. Vincent's questioning look caught Sal's attention as they both got out of the car, after stretching out his legs, Sal answered.

"Piss break."

Vince got out of the car, more stiff than he remembered being, and still not liking the uneasy feeling settling in the back of his head. He trusted sal, and right now he was just praying that trust had not been misplaced. He really wanted to trust him but something was really nagging at him, and he wasn't sure what.

The two of them did their business and walked around a bit, stretching the legs. "If you want I can drive." He knew Sal would probably say no since he knew where they were going and Vince didn't but he still felt like he had to ask, he had to try and do something.

Vince tried to start up some small-talk, but it never seemed to go anywhere. Maybe they had just been away too long.

Sal unzipped himself and started to urinate by the side of the car. He didn't want to walk too far, as it was a chilly night and they didn't have much time to lose. He glanced over at Vince.

"I wasn't entirely honest about a simple booze run I said earlier, we're knocking over a boat in the lake, she's parked at the waterfront right now."

That definately set off alarm bells with Vince, but who was he to argue? who was he to care if they knocked over booze or a boat. Vince finished up his own business and got back in the passenger seat of the car, still not sure of what was nagging him. Oh well, he would find out soon enough.

Vince took a moment to pray silently and check that his piece was in easy reach before grabbing onto the Saint Christopher around his neck. He just hoped that this wasn't a 'boat ride' of the sort his father had always warned him about... but if it was he couldn't think of why Sal would treat him this way. They had both been knockarounds since they were little boys he couldn't imagine that sal would be fooled by mikey.

"So. what have you been doing with yourself?"

Sal zipped up and brushed off his hands in the snow.

"I've been trying to make ends meet - you know how it is, wife and kid to feed, another one on the way too..."
He wonders off to the trunk, pops it open and starts gathering equipment.

"Rope, TNT, Ammo." He tosses a box of .45 ACP at Vince's feet. "That should be enough for you right?" He continues to rummage through the equipment. "This steam boat plays two roles for the local syndicate. It operates as a casino and transport of boozes and drugs from Canada into the United States. The Mustache Petes, they don't like it... too risky, so we're going to torch the stuff and the boat. The other boys are hitting the dead drop point, where the cash for the winnings is kept. No witnesses - alright." Sal barnishes his Colt 1911, ejects the clip and inserts another. "Whenever your ready sunny.

Vince quickly reloads, and then loads his backup clips kept in a side-by-side at his hip. Sal can see the fire in his eyes again. The young man nods, all former fears forgotten. Vince takes a moment to kiss the Saint Chris around his neck and then tuck it back under his shirt.

"Sal, just so you know. My brother is freelancing. If we find him, Non ci amore fra noi." Vince crossed himself and returned Giustizia to her holster. "And I want onore back."

With a new determination vince climbed in beside sal. "L'onore senza lealtfrode"
