Time seemed to go by so quickly. Where it felt like only a few weeks ago Corky was opening the Drunken Capo as a small, family establishment, she was watching movers load the last of the furniture from her premier New York speakeasy into a truck bound for Philly. Tossing the long end of her cashmiere scarf around her neck against the chilly New York evening air, Corky glanced around one more time. The streets of her home city looked the same as ever, but it was a familiar comfort. Leaving wasn't going to be easy, but there were things to be done, and it had been decided that Corky was the right woman for the job. As she watched the movers load the ramp and shut the doors, she felt hands on either of her shoulders. "Ready, love?" Without turning, Corky gave a sigh and nodded slowly. "I am. Was thinking of trying to pickpocket Paul before I left- you know- for old time's sake." She chuckled as her mind drifted back to the bright afternoon years ago that began this chain of events. Having been caught with her hands in the pockets of a well-connected man in the New York mob, Corky thought for a moment that her life was at is threshold. Rather than take her life, Paul Klint had changed it. The man saw potential in the young woman, and offered the humble thief work and the ability to earn more money than she could dream possible. It wasn't too long before the man shocked Corky again by asking her to work beside him as his hand in their crime family. As Paul's time came, his training was coming a close and he planned to challenge the current Godfather of Staten Island... Paul approached her yet again and sent the mobster's head spinning when he asked her to take over his family when he took the position of Godfather. Time had passed, and the woman reached the rank of Don, and her family skills, loyalty, and hard work during the last war had impressed GodFather Klint one final time. Word was hitting the streets that another crew like the one they faced in Queens was coming to take over all of Philly, Paul knew he had to do his part to keep the streets clear of their filth. "As bad as Durdens." He would always say when talking about the war on Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegal. So he approached the Don crew leader one final time, asking her to move to Philadelphia and take over South Philly. It wasn't until the the back door of the moving truck slammed down that Corky was snapped out of her train of thought. She turned around, and wrapped her arms around her husband. "I love you" was the only thing she said to him as she let go and climbed into the passenger seat of the moving truck. With excitement, nervousness, and just a touch of sadness Corky stood chatting with fellow New York mobsters and friends from other cities before taking the journey to South Philly. |

Wiggle smiles and shakes Corky's hand "Well boss lady, looks like it's time to start a new chapter in our lives. Let's do it strong! Look forward in working further along your side in our new venture to the streets of South Philly. A day of celebration indeed." |

Gina stepped forward with Ana Sophie cuddled in her arms. Grinning, Gina leaned up and kissed Corky on her cheeks. "Ana Sophie said she couldn't let you go without a snuggle first." She passed the little one up to Corky and smiled as her godmother nuzzled her. "We'll be up soon to visit. In the meantime, if you need anything at all, you just call me. I'm always here for you." |

A mix of emotions swirled around inside Cheshire’s gut. He was both happy and saddened by this news. On one hand, he was happy to hear his good friend Corky had been given an opportunity of a life time, but on the other he knew he’d no longer be able to go down the road to visit her for his favorite kitty treats. You best come visit your favorite kitty sometimes, you hear? He hugged Corky as tightly as he could, and begged for some kitty treats one last time before she left. |

Fydora couldn't have been happier for her family and herself. Moving to Philly where her first ancestor to America had once been the head honcho could only mean good things. Moving to Philly was only another great step for Blue Heaven and filling up another district would make being a mobster even more profitable. The city of brotherly love (And sisterly) was in for a great surprise. Excited and energetic Fydora's normal twirling was only a little less then spinning at this point as she finished packing up her little apartment in New York. Arriving into Philly, Fydora comes out of the plane twirling and heads off to the new headquarters of Blue Heaven. Fydora had bought a nice bottle of Spiced Rum for Corky to celebrate the move and put it in Corky's office before heading off to her own. Tossing her fedora onto her desk Fydora puts her feet up and just smiles. Yep this was home. Looking at the clock Fydora then realized she had no time to really sit and enjoy her new home. She had way too much to organize and get ready. Not to mention her addiction to making money had already gotten her a few connections here in Philly to start making money asap. Fydora heads off into the streets of Philly to get started on everything she had planned. |

Before Corky left New York her husband laid down the law. "Call me everyday, twice a day. No, three times a day. Winter is soon. Don't go out without a coat and gloves. NEVER EVER go out without your bodyguards, not even to check the mail. Also, don't forget... " On and on Cray rambled until Corky gave him the look. The dapper Don stopped the lecture and hugged his wife. "You're going to do great in South Philly, sweetheart. I'm happy to see you get this opportunity. Congratulations." |

Zmeika had been a bit of a wreck since she heard that Corky was leaving for Philly, sure it was only a quick plane ride away, but she was going to miss seeing Corky around town. She noticed a crowd of people gathered around Corky, wishing her well, but Zmeika could not bring herself to join the crowd. Catching the eye of one of the movers, she slips him a note and some money "Make sure you get this to the lovely lady over there, you know the one with the scarf? The one who you're moving?!?!" Zmeika was getting frustrated with the imbecile of a man, but was glad when it seemed like the light turned on in his head and he understood what was happening. She watched the man shuffle among the crowd and slip the note in Corky's coat pocket. Good luck in Philly Corky. I know you'll be amazing, as always, and South Philly will flourish under your leadership. The Big Apple will seem a little emptier without you around, so come back and visit often! I can't wait to see what you do with the place, I'm sure you'll have a club set up in no time at all! Be safe, keep calm, and stay sexy! Distance makes the heart grow fonder. xoxo Zmeika Seeing that her note was delivered, Zmeika heads into the nearest bar for a drink. |

Remy showed up late not knowing if he could stand to hear the news of Corky leaving so soon after they'd just gotten to really beceome friends. Remembering the fun times they had in the HQ when he first started out in her crew and would randomly yell CORKYYYYYYYY through the halls and occasionally roll out the red carpet when she'd be walking bye. With a tear in his eye and a bit of a grin he was ready to say good bye and good luck.
Corky I'm so happy you get this opportunity, you're going to be amazing in Philly and bring it back to it's former glory I have no doubt about that I'll miss having you just a few blocks over on Staten Island but I'll fly over to you and throw rocks at your HQ window until you come out to play!!! |
