Every ninja has assembled in front of Lee. The sensation of his dream coming to fulfillment makes his spine shiver. He composes himself, and speaks to his ninja crowd Hello everyone. Welcome. This is the first day of our ninja contest. Before we begin, let me outline a few things: Rules: -Throughout the daily tasks, you may answer the question as many times as you'd like. Do not mail me asking me if it's right, I will make it public. -There are 24 hours for each task. If you can not give the correct answer by then, you lose, and are out of the contest. No answer is the same as a wrong answer. -Each 24 hours, I will be giving the correct answer, followed closely by a list of who got it right, and therefore who moves on. -I will also give a list of the points leaders. Generally, those are based on RP, the speed of your answer, the amount of times you guessed (guessing is bad), etc. -All the tasks can be solved using your brains and some luck. Most, if not all of the solutions will be found somewhere in our community. If there are additional questions, please ask. Now, moving forward. The first task. I will not rephrase it. Use your brain and get busy! Task #1 On September 30 of this year, at precisely 23:07, a leader who has since died came to the streets to speak about something that made him happy. Within his speech, he spoke of a specific city that was without something that should be filled. To date, there is a single business in the bar district of that city. The name of that business contains a number. In that business, count every word of the number of the business. Count a total number of words equal to the number in the name of the business. What is that word? |

Rock_Lee stands infront of the crowd when something swisches by his right ear. You quickly look at the thing sitting in the wall behind you, you notice that it is a Shuriken, normally used as a weapon. You quickly look out over the crowd but cant notice any suspicious activity. When you feel a little more safe about the situation you take a look at the weapon, you notice a little note attached to the Shuriken. When you read it, it says: "Sabina has been thinking for a while and come to the conclusion that the word must be district" You take one more glance out over the crowd but cant se her anywhere |

VindicareAssassin pops into existence before Rock_Lee's eyes Yeah, one question: Do you think it's wise to ask people to tell you their answers in such a public manner? The answer "district" has been offered twice, so any other contestant may have faith in this answer and provide it as well, without having done the work. Jay-C steps up to the street where his fellow Nija contestants are stood, all of whom are facing Rock_Lee. He steps forward so he is out of line from the rest of the ninja's and Rock_Lee nods his head in Jay-C's direction, to approve of him stepping out of line. At his approval Jay-C walked closer to Rock_Lee, putting his hand in his pocket. Two men came straight in to cover Rock_Lee from Jay-C and Jay-C stepped back. Rock_Lee parted the two men, and came to Jay-C. Once again, Jay-C placed his hand in his pocket, and withdrew a piece of paper, on one side, was a city name, and the name of the bar Rock_Lee had spoken about in the task. On the other side, was the word he required. He handed the piece of paper to Rock_Lee. Who took it and looked at the jottings, nodding as he read, he then turned the piece of paper over to see the word that read "Distrist" Jay-C walked backwards bowing to Rock_Lee, and stepping back in place with the other Ninja's, with a slight smile on his face. Crams the last bit of a hotdog into his mouth before stepping forward, chewing and talking at the same time. These... uh, these people... they keep sayin' "district". So.. so I'mma... I'm 'onna say "dis... district" too. See, I'm... conserving my ninja ener... ninjergy... for uh, later rounds when... when I really need it. Taps his forehead proudly. Huh? Eh? Yeah. Looks around at the gathered crowd. Hey... anybody else want ice cream? We should get ice cream. |

A random dude no one has ever seen before walks up to Rock_Lee and hands him a slip of paper. As Rock_Lee looks down at the paper and then back at the person he realizes that he is gone. Rock_Lee looks back at the paper which reads. "I have heard what Rhett said about Las Vegas and the word that you are looking for is district. Hoping to win, Got_Milk" |

The great Cthulhu, from deep in the depths of sunken R'lyeh, (the really deep evil part) (on the west side...westside is the best side) (duh), takes a break from the usual grind of using his malignant and loathly mind to spread the dark seeds of madness and corruption into the dreams and nightmares of sleeping men. The Great Cthulhu (of the Eternal Pow'r of Evil and contradiction of all matter, force, and cosmic order) seeks out Rock Lee (of the bushy really bushy bushy-assed eyebrows and superb drunken fist style). This was after all the first day of Rock Lee's Ninja Contest. Big prizes, Slick. Eternal Pow'r of Evil doesn't come cheap. Popping into the alley, The Great Cthulhu lumbers slobberingly into sight and gropingly squeezes his gelatinous green immensity through the black portal. Tight fit. Gott damn narrow alleyways. The Great Cthulhu laughs evilly to himself. Non-euclidian dimensions? Pffft. Inter-dimensional travel? No big whoop. This contest is in the bag. Telepathically communicating with Rock Lee, The great Cthulhu tells Rock Lee the answer for todays contest and then shows off his new tattoo. n'gha'ghaa! (district). His answer given, The Great Cthulhu shambles back into the black portal and returns to the great sunken city R'lyeh. Time's a' wasting. There's infinities of chaos to spread and cultists to eat. |

| VindicareAssassin sends his slave to the streets to tell Rock_Lee the answer. He's too busy doing ninja stuff to come himself. The slave hands Rock_Lee a note. The word "district" is written upon it. A second word is also written down. It may be a second answer, or it may be a fake answer to confuse those who are simply repeating what everyone else is saying without working it out themselves. This word is "heart". The note also says that Rock_Lee may assume it is a second guess and deduct points even if it is just a ruse. But then again, it may be a second guess. | |

A few things. First off. I will ignore any answer given to me in my mail. This has been made clear from the beginning. Secondly, the task may have been made unclear. I won't rephrase it, but I'll help a little. The name of that business contains a number. In that business, count every word of the number of the business. Excuse me. I had something in my throat and couldn't finish my thought. Two separate things. So, if the number was 9, you'd have nine words. What is the ninth word? Is the number is three hundred. You'll have three hundred words. What is the three hundredth word? by the way. I won't be this helpful as the contest continues ;) |

A shadowy figure walks out of a dark corner. In a deep voice, sounding like thunder in the night sky you hear him speak. Upon further inspection, I too, must conclude that the word is indeed "District". He fades away once again into the dark from whence he came like fog across the horizon. |

Rock_Lee hears a swoosh go by his ear. Turning around expecting to see a shuriken, he instead sees Got_milk standing there. " I have heard of Rhett's speech in the streets talking of Las Vegas. Upon traveling to Las Vegas i arrived at not one but two businesses. Realizing a ninja must have set up tp distract the other ninjas I looked for the business with a number in it. Upon finding Studio 13 Tattoos I went inside and read Jamo's description of his store. I counted the thirteenth word of his description 13 times. The words in the exact order were: district the had day on morning new large floor centre out and man. After I identified these thirteen words I knew the answer was man." Got_Milk bows and then vanishes into some purple haze with a foxy lady. |

out of a cloud of smoke comes a shadowy figure. The figure is obscured by the smoke and his face is covered with only his eyes poking out. The man draws out his sword and carves only a single word in to the building he appeared next to and quickly vanishes. Upon further investigation you see the word that is carved is 'Man' |

Descending from Mount Olympus, Ares did the normal thing a lazy god such as himself would do. He stole into another contestants house, and took the answer from under their nose. Whilst doing this he threw a few shurikens, just to make sure he looked like a ninja. He then made his way through the village until he made his way to Rock Lee. To try and impress the mortal, Ares started a small war nearby. Rock Lee looked thoroughly unimpressed, although Ares noted he had a wet patch around the groin. The word be "man", which I am not, I AM A GOD! |
