The Idea:

Paying 20 - 25 credits to change your game name once and once only.

The roleplay side of things:

Sometimes you get a nickname you don't like and when your a rich mafioso, you have the power to change your name, atleast for the most part, what happens behind closed doors is a different kettle of fish.

The reason:

Sometimes you just need a way to change your RP style and when your stuck with a name like mine lol

Now how does one change name and still be known as the person they were beforehand?:

I think that if someone does change their name then the old name should stay in brackets on their profile for a set amount of days.

I don't know if this will be a highly welcomed idea, but with the direction we have been taking, I don't see a problem with it. The reason I also made the price of it so high (25 credts) is because it's not something that should be taken lightly so if a user does want to do this they do have to work for it and use their hard earned cash to pay for that change.

If this was introduced at 25 credits I can see it being abused.

I am not totally against the idea but it'll need to be much more expensive to make sure it's only used by those who have gotten to the stage where they have built a decent account on a name they truly hate.

The major con to this idea is that you should have to deal with the stupid name you picked at start up, I think most people have been in this situation at least once.

Why don't you make it so you can only change it once per character? I know I would love to change mine right now lol

Well probably having to reach certain game age, or certain rank, along with the 20-25credits to lessen the abuse of this.

Yeah I can't see this being abused to be fair Bamys, it's alot of money for just changing ones name and it's something a person/character has to really think about, especially if they are in the upper ranks.

I asked Izzy of this before and I think his reason was that it would screw up the coding and you could possibly lose things such as units, gun stat, answers, the whole nine yards actually I believe which is why they do not allow it.

If it was once per character and there was a minimum rank or age restriction on it  I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Whether it's possible with what Rage has said remains to be seen.

Well I'm not sure about all that Rage, as each profile is a number. What I thought was that your name is just shown on your profile/mobmails/crewchat and forums. I don't think it would be easy to code in saying that but if it was possible it would be awesome.

I don't know I told him that too but I don't remember his response to it, I know he said it messes with the database and you have the possibility of losing data and that is something he is not willing to do.
