| Making It Harder To Shoot Someone | Started by: Imhotep on Nov 18, '13 14:29 |

I wanted to propose that the Gods make it so you have to be in the same district as the intended target, whether or not your a real player, an NPC, or an MIA or RIA. This is an attempt to make the game more realistic. In real life, a bullet from a gun made in the thirties wouldnt travel from say South Philly all the way to Bella Vista and kill the intended target. A bullet from a modern pistol only has an effective range of 100 meters. How would this benefit the MR community? well this is a double edged sword i guess. Cause You wouldnt get forts protection unless your in your home district as well. The whole idea is to make it more more realistic for everyone. so to some up everything... I suggest that we make it so you cannot kill someone unless your in the same district as the intended target and make it so you dont get forts protection unless your in your home district. |

| It seems a bit inconvienent to me. I understand that it is more realistic, but being able to travel instantly from Philly to Chicago isn't all that realistic, but we can do that, too. If we have to be in the same place, how do you find your target? How do you reconsile the idea that people can fly instantly across the country, but can't "see" somebody unless they are shoulder to shoulder? | |

| Your vision would still work the same you would just have to be in the same district to shoot your target. Nothing else would change except that you will have to be in the home district to get forts protection | |

You guys are still a step behind the times, and a step ahead of the coders. It has been annouced that as the codes are finished, the numbers blenced, and the million and one little details are ironed out, The district code will expand. Shooting, vision, OCs, and many other things will become district specific. I am not certain if these change will be rolled out piecemeal, or if they are planning a big ole rollout, but these changes are coming |
