Snidely had a determined look on his face as he drove away from Hayley's Coffee Shop. It seemed that some serious work needed doing. Toberius, Snidely's boss, was being investigated for the murder of an FBN agent and they had enough evidence to lock him away for life. This wasn't an option Snidely was willing to allow. Speeding along the road, he formulated a plan. He would stalk the three Federal agents who'd joined along with the Chicago PD and get dirt on them, coercing them into dropping the investigation. It wouldn't be easy, but with his good friend Philli's help, Snidely felt rather confident that they'd be able to take care of the problem. Snidely drove along the familiar streets of Chicago to the Police Department. Parking far enough away from the building to not be spotted, while still being able to see the traffic coming and going, Snidely lit a cigarette and turned his car off. He was positive that he'd be able to spot the Federal agents amongst the very recognizable cops of the station. The Feds were always dressed better, and walked with a strut as if they owned the world. After a few hours, Snidely was starting to wonder if they were ever going to leave the building when all of a sudden all three of the Federal Agents exited. Two of them headed north, and the third turned the other way. Snidely wouldn't be able to follow all three of them at once unfortunately, so he decided to follow the two males who'd headed towards the Business District. Making sure to stay out of sight, Snidely opened his car door and stuck to the shadows as he tailed the Agents. He progressively crept closer and closer to the pair, he was now close enough that he could hear the two talking. "Only if you get me really drunk!" The taller of the two said, with a slight smile on his face as he brushed the hair off of his forehead. The other man chuckled softly, apparently amused. Turning to his partner, "You're not fooling me, Greggory. That ring on your finger means nothing when you're going around..." The men turned a corner, and Snidely found it near impossible to make out what they were talking about. Turning the corner himself, Snidely saw Greggory and the other Agent entering his very own business, Snidely's Strip & Steak. |

walking away from Hayley's coffee shop, Philli_stein was doing some hard thinking. It was going to be a busy few days. Toberius in danger from the feds. An issue, But Philli was confident that with the right tactics, he and SnidelyWhiplash could... "hmmmm. isn't that handy" Philli said under his breath. Ahead, A man had just turned onto the same street, wearing a jacket with the bright Yellow FBI on the back. "Must be one of the agents in town to work on the boss' case. Well, I know what snidely needs, but i also know that i need to know what this chump is up too." Moving carefully so as not to be noticed, Philli followed the FBI agent was to a small building where the purported crime scene occured. Perfect. "i'll just track this guy and see what he knows, then get back to the steak and strip and chat with snidely. Maybe i'll learn something we can use, one way or another." Keeping to the shadows, Philli continued to track the man, while sending a bodygaurd to let snidely know that he was on with the FBI agent. |

Snidely let the two men enter his restaurant and paused for a few moments before entering. He didn't want it to look like he'd been following them and raise suspicion. Since he was the owner of the place, it didn't really look sketchy that he was there, but Snidely was taking absolutely no chances. Perusing the restaurant, he didn't spot either of the men. That meant that they were in the back, at the bar. Nodding to a few of his friends, Snidely walked back to the bar and slid over the top, landing on both feet behind the bar. Pouring himself a drink, he innocently proceeds to inch closer and closer to the men under the pretense of organizing the liquor. Oddly enough, neither of the men seemed to have much interest in the very sexy stripper who was dancing on the pole in the middle of the room. The men continued ordering drink after drink, proceeding to get rather intoxicated quickly. Snidely had rarely seen two people consume so much alcohol in that short amount of time. He was rather impressed, but said nothing and continued to pour them drinks while listening in on their conversation. "Oh stop, you know I've not lost any weight Ronald." Greggory chuckled to himself, his face turning quite red. The men had taken off their Federal jackets upon entering the restaurant, and they were now folded up and sitting on them. Snidely wasn't completely sure what was going on here, but his brain was beginning to figure it out. Ronald got up to go to the bathroom and Snidely noticed Greggory's eyes following Ronald, as he chewed at his lower lip. That just about cemented it for Snidely, as he grinned with anticipation. If he could confirm, and get evidence of what he thought was happening here, it'd be enough to blackmail the two Agents into dropping the case against Toby. He'd only hoped that Philli was having luck in tailing the third Agent. Using the departure of Ronald to his advantage (as he no longer had to listen to the conversation,) Snidely pours himself a healthy measure of whiskey and lights a cigarette. Things will work out stupendously he kept repeating to himself in his head, don't worry. Hearing the door to bar open, Snidely's head snaps up to see who it was. He didn't recognize the face, but it didn't concern him much. All sorts of folk found their way to his business. The man who'd entered wasted no time in briskly walking up to Snidely and leaning in, "You don't know me, but Mr. Stein sent me to let you know that he's tailing the other agent, trying to find dirt on him." Snidely nodded silently and slid the man a beer with a nod of his head. Taking a seat Snidely patiently awaited the return of Ronald as he sipped his whiskey and puffed on his cigarette, occasionally watching a few seconds of the woman on the pole. |

Philli was bored. The FBI agent had been poking around the crime scene for a solid half hour. Nothing usful here. "come on pal. the locals got it all. Go get a beer, and show me something i can use." Just then, The agent leaned down, and picked up something that glittered strangely. Looking around furtively, The man pocketed the trinket, then quickly locked the site up and left. Philli jumped to stay on his tail, and saw that the man was going straight towards Snidely restaurant. Perfect. Philli thought. I can talk to sniddy and no one will think it's unusual. plus, i'd bet my gun that this chump is going to meet his buddys. Now if he would just do something dumb, like light one up, along the way, then life would be good. I hope snidely's having more luck. Staying back, Philli enters snidelys strip and steak, and sees another FBI guy sitting at the bar, and snidely pouring a drink for him. Philli walks up to the bar, a ways down from the agents, and sits down. Snidely knows his signs, So philli signals that he wants to talk, and has news. |

Snidely turned his head towards the entrance as once again another patron entered the bar. It was unusual for him, as most people just came to eat in the restaurant. He couldn't help but to smirk as he saw Philli walk through the door. Snidely recognized the signal that Philli was giving him, and as he walked over to the man he grabbed a beer for the both of them. Sliding one over to Philli, Snidely leans in. "So, what's the news? I've got an idea on how to get some dirt on the two Agents I've been tailing. I'm almost entirely positive that the two men are homosexuals...But, they're also married. I don't think their fellow officers, or wives for that matter would take kindly to this information. The only thing is, I need solid proof to confront them with." Snidely lit a cigarette and offered one to Philli. His heart was racing with anticipation, with any amount of good luck at all they'd have this wrapped up without any hiccups. Noticing Ronald walking back to the bar, Snidely tilts his head towards him and tells Philli, "Watch..." Ronald walked behind Greggory and let his fingers trail on the mans back as he hopped up on his bar stool with a grin on his face. "Interesting, eh? Greggory, the man who's been sitting this whole time, also happened to watch Ronald walk away as if he was staring at his ass...And neither of the two have so much as glimpsed at the stripper over there." Snidely shakes his head and remembers that Philli had news. "Sorry, sorry. What news do you have on our third Agent??" |

"It's not as big as it could be. The third guy, He stopped at the crime scene. it's still locked down. But he searched around a while, and then picked something up. a trinket of some kind, glittery. I just let him come here. But the line he made here, I think he and the others planned this bit." Philli sips at his beer, and looks quietly at the other two for a moment. "I think your right. they don't quite look like partners in the business sense. I'm going to keep onto the third guy, and see if i can't get a hand on that trinket. I'd love to get a look, cause it can't be insignificant. " Philli stands up and heads for the kitchen. The chefs know him, and he likes his food made specifically. |

As Philli headed towards the kitchen, Snidely noticed Greggory and Ronald standing up to leave. This was his chance, Snidely though to himself, if I can follow these two and prove that they're cheating on their wives with each other, they'll have to do whatever I ask of them. Quickly downing his last shot of whiskey, Snidely slips through the door adjoining the bar and restaurant just as the pair of Feds were walking out the front door. Picking up his pace, he rushes through the restaurant and opens the front door, looking left and seeing nothing. Turning his head to the right, he noticed the familiar FBI lettering of their jackets. Tailing them closely Snidely wonders how far they were going to have to go before reaching whatever destination the pair had in mind. He was pretty certain neither of the two had their own place in Chicago, so that meant they were presumably finding a hotel or motel to bunk down for the night. Just as he thought, not but a few blocks later, Greg and Ron entered the office of a sleazy looking motel. Standing outside, Snidely slips into the shadows of a corner and lights a cigarette. Being careful that the cherry couldn't be seen, he awaits the two to come out with their room keys. Snidely expected as much as moments later the pair exited the office with only one key in hand. He looked up at the sign of the motel and grinned, for it practically cemented his theory. The sign read Moe's Motel Single bunk rooms only. Cash up front. Taking out his camera, Snidely tosses his still burning cigarette to the ground before crushing it with his shoe. He snapped a few photos of the sign, and then of the two men walking into their room. Slowly and very quietly, Snidely sneaked closer and closer to the window of their room. Cautiously raising his eye level over the ledge, he cursed as a curtain blocked his view. Luckily it was still transparent enough to see clothes strewn all around the floor, and to make out the two figures spooning in the bed. Snapping as many pictures as he could to have a varying selection when it came down to the blackmail, Snidely laughed as quietly as he could. This couldn't have worked out better. At this point he was only worried that Philli wouldn't be able to find anything to use against the other Agent. Perhaps the evidence Snidely had collected would be strong enough for Ronald and Greggory to convince the third Agent to drop the case...But he doubted it, they were going to need dirt on all three people. Snidely set off back in the direction of his restaurant, practically at a jogging pace so he could hurry up and tell Philli the good news. He rushed back to the kitchen as soon as he got there and sure enough, Philli was sweating over the stove preparing his own meal. It always brought a smile to Snidely's face. Perhaps he'd have to hire on Philli as a chef. Pulling him into the freezer as to not be overheard by the kitchen staff (though they knew their place and how to hold their tongue, one could never be too careful), Snidely filled his friend in, "Alright, just as we thought these two are definitely cheating on their wives with each other. I've got plenty of photo evidence. Have you come up with anything we can use on the last member of their team??" |

JonnyBeRed was sitting at the bar as well. He was far away from the interested parties, but he could tell that Snidely and Philli were up to something. He saw Philli go into the kitchen as Snidely went out the door, then saw Snidely come back. Jonny, being a bit shy and somewhat new to the family, had been trying to be more assertive lately. He knew that it was expected of people who led this life, and he wanted to earn the respect that went along with it. Because of this, he also got up and went into the kitchen. Looking around, he didn't see either man, though he had seen both of them come back here. The kitchen staff just ignored him. He knew better than to ask one of them anything. I wonder where they have gone? Jonny said out loud |

Grinning, Philli looks towards the door of the freezer. "I might, but we're going to need some assistance. Now if I'm not mistaken, Johhny red is out there wondering where the hell we are. I can't think of a better guy to make that pocket grab than him. So lets go get him in on this little shindig. He gets that shiny, I can probably tell what it is, or my friend al down at the jeweler can. And Unless i'm much mistaken, This guy wasn't digging for evidence. Given the distinct lack of evidence bags." Philli walks towards the main kitchen, talking back over his shoulder. "Let me get johnny and talk to him. mind if i use your office?" |

"By all means, make yourself as comfortable here as possible" Snidely said, with a smile on his face. He knew good and well Jonny wouldn't be in his office. He wasn't one for being seen when he could help it. Knowing the table he normally sat at, away from the public eye in a shadowy corner, Snidely excuses himself and enters the main spot of his restaurant. Walking briskly up to Jonny, Snidely taps him on the shoulder and nods towards the kitchen. Jonny raises his eyebrows momentarily but questioned not what was needed of him, and stood up to follow Snidely. The pair made their way back to the privacy of the freezer section where none of the workers could overhear them. He had mixed feelings about smoking back where the meat was kept, but deciding that nobody was going to tell him off in his own restaurant Snidely lit one anyway and proceeded to smoke a good third of it in one long drag. It took Jonny and Snidely a few moments to find Philli, but when they did he had a grin on his face. Seeing Jonny with Snidely confirmed in his mind that their plan was going to be a success. Snidely certainly hoped so too but he had a sinking feeling in his gut that it wasn't going to be entirely as simple as they'd hoped. Looking back and forth from Jonny to Philli, Snidely speaks. "So, we've got a bit of a problem here Jonny and on behalf of the family, we were wondering if you'd be inclined to lend a helping hand. Mind filling him in, Philli?" |

Philli looks Johnny over. He always been on the quiet side, but no one can question his competence. "Alright Johnny, Here's the short version. Toby is in trouble, and we're going to fix that. a while back, Toby whacked a crooked FBN agent. Guy name of Haroldson. The local cops looked into it, and then they got the FBI involved. The FBI has some new tech that will let them finger toby, and put him away. Three agents of the FBI are in town, and we're going to stop them. Snidely has the goods on two of them, but we don't have anything on the third yet. I Think i have something on the third, But thats where you come in. In his left jacket pocket is a small shiny object, Details unknown. He picked it up at the crime scene, and seemed quite excited about it. I think, since he didn't treat it like evidence, That it might be our way in. We want you to swipe it, so we can find out what it is. Can you manage that?" |

Jonny had never been back here before. He had never thought to come back to the kitchen. He listened intently to what Philli was saying. Yes, I think I can help. The key is to get him away from his jacket without him realizing that he is away from his jacket. Hmm. How can we do that? We need a distraction. I think I have an idea. Snidely, get the girl on the pole to take a break, and on her way back, she can trip or faint or something. Since he is a cop, he'll try to help. I'll grab it then. |

Philli tosses a grin over his shoulder as he walks to the bar. Snidely always trusted him, and even with the man's disappearance, the show would go on. With a small hand gesture, philli tells the girl on the pole to take a break. Wit ha second, ven smaller gesture, he conveys what he wants. "ok johnny, You'll get your shot in about ten seconds." The girl walks across the room, hips swaying, high heels clicking. Suddenly, one of her heels snaps and she tumbles to the ground. exactly as predicted, the FBI agent jumped to be the first to get to her. Waving everyone else off, he moved towards the girl. "give her space, coming through. I'm FBI, let me through."
Philli grins as the agents path takes him directly past where johnny positioned himself. |

Jonny bumped into the agent, delecately swiping the trinket from his pocket. He also grabed a small notebook that was in the same pocket because he didn't have time to fumble around and try to figure out what he was getting. It was pretty easy, all in all. Here you are, sir. Jonny said as he got back to the kitchen. He didn't notice a thing. |
