Shaft wakes up next to a pretty lady from the night before. He looks over to his clock 8 AM he showers and then sends the lady on her way agreeing to have lunch later.He heads down the stairs and exits the building It was cold outside and the city was half empty many folks went down south to Florida to escape the cold weather. Shaft didn't mind cold weather to him cold weather was snuggling weather.Shaft walks down the street to the diner for breakfast its hard to avoid bumping into people every couple of seconds the streets in Brooklyn were crowded but not as bad as the streets of Manhattan. The streets were crowded but it didn't take shaft a long time to reach the diner. He sat a booth and ordered bacon eggs and pancakes just as he was about to eat the waitress told him someone was on the phone for him.

"Hello?" He asks

"Shaft right? It's Firsts_Ladie listen we got a problem I can't say much but a guy will meet you behind the coffee shop around the corner with more details."

Before Shaft can say anything else Firsts_Ladie hangs up. Shaft pays his bill and goes to the coffee shop. He looks around the coffee shop and tries to find his contact. He looks in the alley and sees a tall skinny guy next to a trash can.

"Yo you Shaft ? I'm Claudio" He says

"Yeah I'm Shaft so uh whats the deal?"

"Alright well there's this truck coming to the hardware store around the corner with some good stuff in it our job is to take the truck and take over to a place in Sea Gate."

"Sounds easy enough nothing to hard to handle should take us less than an hour anything more than that its overtime."

Shaft and Jimmy walked over to the hardware store and waited it was only 9 AM and they had time to waste. Shaft goes on over to a newspaper vender nearby and buys a copy of the paper. He starts browsing the paper and looks at the scores The Brooklyn Dodgers we're on a losing streak and were out of the pennant chase.

"Man them Dodgers are horrible they are out of the playoffs again!"

"I tell ya that team ain't been right since Wilbert Robinson retired since then they've been some shit"

Just then the truck arrived and Shaft and Jimmy got to work. Two men step out of the truck, the driver a heavy bald fat man in his forties and his passenger a skinny young man in his twenties. Just as they are about to open up the back of the truck Shaft knocks out the fat man and Jimmy grabs the young man and knocks him out.

"Shaft you drive take us over to a place in Sea Gate." He looks over at his watch its 10:30 AM Having no clue where Sea Gate is Shaft follows Claudio's directions until they arrive to a nice area with mansions all over the place but the one he takes him to is the nicest one. Its bigger than the others and has a classy look. They step out of the truck and are greeted by Firsts_Ladie. She hands them each five hundred bucks.

"This is from me you both did good Cino said this was a favor but you both did good I'll call you if anything else comes up there is always money to be made."

With that Shaft leaves and declines Claudio's offer of giving him a ride.

"Where you going man?"

"I'm gonna get laid man where you going?"

It was only 12 PM and Shaft had a date and he didn't want to be late.

cino smirked at the thought of overtime...

"It ain't my fault you guys got lost for half an hour!", he chuckles.

"Next time, try to get this kind of business done a little more discreetly, eh!? Everyone saw you knock those guys out and drive that truck through the streets!"

...

"Ehh, you're good guys."

cino hands Claudio and Shaft an extra $100 bill each

"Take that girl of yours somewhere nice, Shaft, and tip the waiter well, alright? And Claudio - stay out of the damn casino!"

cino turns to Firsts_Ladie,

"Where's AntDaCapo? It's time for a drink."
