Welcome
Issue 2!!!
Welcome back everyone! I'm certain that each of you had a great holiday weekend. Just take a seat, sit back, and enjoy a good read. Thanks for your time! We now feature work from people ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. Its truly a beautiful thing. However, we need to make a small announcement. Some people believe that AMPMAG is totally against Marietta. Which is untrue. We merely have made a business prospect out of the people who *don't* like her. Also, the articles and ideals expressed in this paper can not and should not be used against any of our editors/writers/associates in any way. This is a friendly periodical, and we want it to stay that way.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Street Activity
This week was full of GREAT speeches and stories, but we try to break them down for you.
Top Threads:
3. ""A Christmas party with the angels" by: Hayley. (8.9/10)
It seems those angelic folk in Chicago have been busy as well this season; organizing a fantastic party for each and all to get drunk and be merry. It was indeed a magical evening (yours truly having been excessively drunk even before arriving), but you'll have to check it out for yourselves to find out all the fun games that we enjoyed that night...
2. "Lost In Translation: A Discussion" by: Phantom Ghost. (9.4/10)
This thread brought up a very important issue about how many people seem to not be able to write properly. With phrases such as "dis is gr8" and "kin i b in ur kru?" disgracing our world. How many of us just seem to ignore them and think they are stupid? However, we here at AMPMAG see the need to help them write better. We all were shocked to read that a mafioso's bloodline had been around for 1 year but never got far because he wrote like that. To get the full story, you'll have to read the thread. It has brought up very important points and it's the reason why we made it our number 2.
1. ""Christmas Competition"" by: JimmyTheLionHeart. (10/10)
I know, it doesn't seem like the best thing on the streets these days, but we gave this one the "Top Street Discussion", because it invoked much of the community into writing Christmas Stories. We here at AMPMAG believe that activity is great. So, we give Don Jimmy a 10/10.
The winners were:
Awesome with ""Christmas at Awesome's, December 25, 1920". - Prize: $1,000,000
Ares with "A Day in December Part I, Part II, Part III. - Prize: $750,000
Telkin with "Untitled Christmas Story"- Prize: $250,000
This proves it. AMPMAG wins. First and second, baby.
Terrible Threads:
3. "Christmas with the Rourkes" by: ThomasRourke. (6/10)
Ok, so we couldn't give this christmas story TOO bad of a rating, since Thomas did put in a lot of effort. Its nice to know whats going on with those Rourkes these days, so we don't have to get worried about their whereabouts. Thanks Thomas.
2. "De La Ghetto's by: -JohnDillanger- (1/10)
And another family-introduction speech that seemed void of any serious effort. We here at AMPMAG feel it a little insulting that such a high honour would be met with little enthusiasm. Let's just hope that more effort is put into the running of his family and into the business of New York than into his address...
1. "Good Morning.I'm Bored. by: High_Society (-1/10)
Nothing good can be said of this; only bad things. Very bad. It doesn't offer anything; instead, it only seeks to take away. We would suggest you check it out to see for yourself, but we like you too much...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* OBITS
We never like to celebrate deaths. Deaths aren't good for business, and they make people sad. So, as always, along with this section of our paper, we donate regularly to local funeral homes to help these people look nice before going 6 feet under. Rest In Peace Folks.
SirSammyRourke - Newly appointed to the position of LHM of New York's one-of-two newest auths, Mr. -Johndillinger-, and also a Rourke, it saddens us to report his death. It appears that SirSammy, along with an unidentified associate, were sent to take out an ex-criminal known only as "arronhill". Unfortunately, the take-down was not as smooth as they would have hoped, with SirSammy suffering a fatal wound as his target took a shot before being killed by the other man. Rest in peace, SirSammy.
Tekkz - It seems many mafiosi today are finding the life of crime not all they hoped it be and have managed to have themselves go legit. But it is indeed very rare that someone of Tekkz's position — a captain with JimmyTheLionHeart's family, no less - should go down that route. We hope you find life outside the mafia to be more fulfilling than you found it within.
MidgetMolly - That someone should die on this day is indeed a terrible thing. At first, the circumstances surrounding her death were a mystery — some believing that the tradition of wack-happy Christmas was being carried out once more — but it later emerged that she, too, like SirSammy, suffered from that dreaded "1%". Rest in peace, and we hope to see your daughter soon.
Jersey - When I heard the news, I was surprised and sad. Jersey, a Made Man under MickeyRourke, decided to depart from this world to find her "Special Place". We can only hope it wasn't the whiskey talking. Rest in Peace hun.
Captain_Tycho - Tycho's death was a mystery, until his boss, JimmyTheLionHeart made an appearance at his funeral, and explained the loss of life. You see, Tycho's ship crashed into an iceberg, and he went into a coma from the cold. His crew managed to get him ashore, but it was too late. After a week with no improvement, Don Jimmy pulled the plug. RIP Captain.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Interviews
Today, we have a few interviews with some well-known members of our society. Goodfella, the new RHM to JohnDillanger. Enjoy!
Ares: What is it like being a Right Hand Man to the new CrewLeader in New York?
GoodFella: Well, I'll be honest in saying I was completely surprised JohnDillanger asked me to be his Right Hand. Hell, I was surprised to hear we would be getting more auths at all, in any of the three vacant cities. It seemed as if families were beginning to have problems with keeping their own numbers up as more and more Mafiosos began to take an early "retirement" from the life of organized crime. To continue with that thought, I would also like to point out how difficult it has been finding new and promising young individuals to join our new family as a result of decreasing populations. Personally, I have begun approaching new civilians and thugs on the street and in back alleys, informing them of the 48 hour rule while also extending the offer for possible employment in our family if they can show some sign of devotion and loyalty; not to mention character. Needless to say, finding individuals of that quality has been a challenge as we are now competing with some very well established and highly respected families. However, apart from this difficulty in recruiting new family associates, the experience in New York has been fairly pleasant. I do see a rise in numbers traveling to and from the city, conducting business, and busting fellow mobsters out when the cops begin to put on the heat. That's the kind of thing I like to see because with hope, New York will be a hot spot in the coming weeks for all of the above. And as RHM to Mr. Dillanger, I am going to use everything in my capacity to make that happen.
Ares: What are your family's goals/objectives for the city of New York?
GoodFella: As I said before, bringing large numbers of travel and business to New York is a top priority. The fall of Don Azuela no doubt crippled the city from everything except business exploits in the hitman profession - which even in this lingering economy, continues to thrive. As RHM to one of the new Capo Crimini's of New York however, I hope to establish an effective line of communication between our family and Mr. Figs newly established one in addition to those of the other major cities. I have a feeling that there will be many business meetings between our family and FrankiFigs family in the coming weeks to set a new course for not only this city, but perhaps even a precedent for every other one. It is always a good sign for someone like myself who welcomes change from time to time, to be placed into a city where others share the same values, goals, and objectives. With this said, if there is one reassuring aspect of all the changes coming to the city of New York that I would like to point out, it is that things will be done differently here and some individuals may find it more to their liking. And when the time comes for more change to happen, we will be all ears and open minds for new ideas and suggestions. If there is one thing we are lacking right now, it's these bold ideas.
Ares: Do you think that having two families in New York is a good/bad thing?
GoodFella: You know, once again I have to be honest here; this same question vexed me for some time. But again, I think the lack of numbers and retention rate of Mafiosos is a key concern of the current leadership community. Although there are a few people who have done a great many things to deserve a chance to shine in a bold suit, the numbers just aren't there to accommodate them. I'm guessing that perhaps this was part of the thought process that went into making the final decision to allow Mr. Dillanger and Mr. Figs to set up in New York, together. Whether this is a bad or a good thing is still to be decided. Both men have a great deal of respect within the community and I believe both are as equally open to the idea of change as they are to a more conservative approach. Either way, the true test will be in the coming weeks when both families are put into a position to propose innovative ideas and transform them into action. I believe that the only way to do this will be through constant communication. If our two families succeed in working together to achieve a common goal, we then succeed in making New York a better place to conduct future business. The formula for success here I think, is really that simple and straightforward... but only time will tell.

A New Family and a Novel Idea
Will it all go horrible wrong?
-Johndillinger-, with De La Ghetto, and FrankieFigs, with DLS. Despite both having uninspiring introduction speeches, Mr. FrankieFigs did have a few interesting things today. And by 'few' I mean 'one. And that is that, unlike most if not all leaders of the past, Mr. Figs will not be appointing a known and trusted companion to take the position of LHM, but will be accepting applications from any and all. Yes, that it correct.
He categorically stated that applicants shall be judged solely on their person character, and not the character of their parents/mothers and the like.
For such a novel and interesting idea, we hear at AMPMAG tip our hats, but reserve judgement on the... wisdom of such a decision. Many in a position of power have abused that power, and it seems that trusting someone who one does not truly know might not be the smartest of decisions. Especially by someone with as much power as Mr. FrankieFigs.
More about Marietta?
Yes. We Hate Her.
You've all seen it. People arguing back and forth about "Does Marietta deserve the rank of GodMother?" Well, we are here to break it down for you, and let you decide. We, here are AMPMAG, can't stand this tyrant, but we have an obligation to give you un-biased facts circling her.
Many say that "Marietta hasn't had enough wars" or some shit like that. ?!?!?!?! Someone explain to me how a person's ability to lead a family and become a godfather is based on the people around her?! Are you saying that she was too peaceful to deserve it? It seems to me that she has kept herself and her family safe, around fighting everywhere. She didn't get involved where she didn't need to, and has now reaped the reward. Some say "There hasn't been as many rogues as when Anita and Scotland were GFs". SO? What do dead mafiosi have to do with Marietta's qualifications? Its sad that people are so worried about bickering with each other to decide if she deserves it or not, when you could start a business, newspaper, FUCKING ICE CREAM STAND FOR ALL I CARE. And yes. I do like Ice Cream.
New Auths
What?? MORE?!
Yes, we have new auths. I decided to take a little time to break down EXACTLY how it goes. Just a short little bit for you readers.
Chicago: Don Hayley has decided to set up Phantom-Ghost, a Capo who has served under Hayley for weeks, as her partner in Chicago. Phantom set up with MyObsessionWithFire and ProphetOfDeath. We wish Undead Inc. the best in the Windy City.
New York A: The great Consigliere, Prozac, from the West Coast has decided to auth his former Right Hand Man, FrankieFigs, to serve in New York. Frankie set up with Ire, a Made Man, and is currently on the look-out for a Left Hand Man to help him lead DLS.
New York B: Guardian, the successor to Zoey (RIP), has decided to auth -JohnDillanger- to serve beside Frankie in New York. John set up with GoodFella as Right Hand Man, and SirSammyRourke as Left Hand Man. However, after a sad accident (featured in our OBITS section), SirSammyRourke passed away, and some kid named Telkin, was given his place. Guess there isn't much work to become a LHM these days.

RourkeyRourke and Aurora's child is to be born in a few days. He hopes and expects everyone in the community to congratulate him on having sexual relations with a woman. Great Work Rourkey. Stop reproducing. The last thing we need is more Rourkes running around.
