This is so freaking retarded by myself and wanted to know who has this problem, surly I couldn't be alone. I have barley no money on hand. Sure I got money put into drugs but that is all. Thanks to a little friend I keep losing and I am addicted to it. Thanks to the dealer at blackjack, I am broke. But not no long! People who are like me, come with me and leave behind the days of coming in with a crap load of bills and leaving with nothing from the blackjack table. Stand together! Learn together! We ill get though this together because change is possible and its not just better for use, but better for the new year. |

| you just have to slowly try to ignore it just look at it and say no, otherwise you're never going to leave it but if you want there's a thread saying how to lessen your chances of losing but there is no way you can win all the time so my advise is to try and leave it because otherwise you're just going to lose money | |

Alternately you can step back and analyze the game a little and become a more skilled player. There's no magic forumla for easy riches; but it helps if you have a good understanding of the odds and how the game is played - particularly as the dealer sticks to rules for when to hit and when to stand. Of course we don't know quite how this particular "dealer" is coded and it could be changed at any time. Unfortunately we are likely dealing with a random card generater rather than working through real decks, so card-counting won't help. That is unfortunate as the ability to accurately count cards is a big leg up in a real black-jack game. Most important though is self control. Just like you don't buy a $5000 suit when you have a minimum wage job and a family to feed. Be realistic about what you can afford to lose, set a limit and stick to it. stick to it STICK TO IT and therein is usually the problem for many - when they start losing they always want to keep playing to try to recoup the loss - thereby digging themselves in further and further. Set that limit and STICK to it. Something like 10 percent of your bank balance is probably good. In other words - if you have 500,000 in the bank you can lose 50,000 without doing any real damage. The most important point still is STICK TO IT. When you hit your limit just walk away - it really is that simple Another way to do it could be to set a number of hands down (which amounts to the same thing really) I will often play with a two hand limit - If I lose 2 hands more than I've won I walk away. id est: I am playing for 10K a hand. I lose 1 hand, I win 1 hand, I lose 1 hand (at this point we are only down 1 hand as the win balanced the other loss) - if I lose the next hand that's it. It can really be hard sometimes but one last time JUST WALK AWAY SMILING you played a game, it cost you a few bucks, hope you enjoyed it if you let it get past that then you have a gambling problem. You might want to look into getting some professional help (IRL I mean). It's easier to do here because the loss isn't as "real". You aren't going to go hungry or lose your house becuase you blew your wad gambling here; but there is a very real risk that your behaviour may extend to real life. If you are having gambling problems here - for god's sake PLEASE don't involve yourself in any real-world gambling. It has ruined many lives and destroyed many bright futures. I feel like I'm babbling; but I sincerely worry for the RL welfare of some of the members of our community. Perhaps by identifying the compulsion here were the results are just part of a game we may have done a great service IF we can identify the problem and do something about it before they do themselves real world damage. Or, if you're like me and have absolutely have no self control, find a trusted friend or associate and tell them to cut you off. The buddy system works! Having someone there to remind you not to play (or in desperate cases, take all your money) is a good way to resist. It also gives you someone to blame when you fail miserably. In my case, Aurora has been instructed to take all of my money out of the bank at first sign of blackjack tomfoolery and jet out of the country asap. |
