*It was a dark, cold night. Snake sat in his apartment thinking about his last hit going bad. He didn’t want that to happen again, but no one is perfect; sometimes you have to improvise. As he sipped on his beloved scotch and took several drags of his cigarette, he waited patiently for the clock to strike 9 o’clock so he could carry out the hit. The target was a business man. He borrowed money from a local gang that he was earlier affiliated with to start up but still hadn’t returned the money. However, the hit came from an employee believe it or not. For the businessman was cruel to employees and treated them like garbage, like they weren't even human beings. This employee finally had enough of it. He told Snake that the businessman and gang member would be meeting in an old parking lot at 9. He said the gang members wouldn’t be armed either if things were to go south. As the clock finally hit 9, Snake loaded up his SR-25 suppressed sniper rifle, his suppressed M-9 pistol, his combat knife, and left to carry out the hit. He sat on the roof overlooking the parking lot. He waited for quite a while for the meeting to take place. Snake never moved an inch the whole time; he couldn’t alert anyone of his location. Finally after about 45 minutes, both groups showed up. The businessman got out of his Mercedes and 5 gang members got out of the van. They started to discuss the issue at hand…* Now John, we’re getting very impatient. It’s been quite a while and we still have nothing. I know that but I brought you something tonight. *The businessman set down a briefcase. As the lead gang member opened it, his face filled with anger.* 50k!!?? That’s all you brought us!? That’s not even a quarter of what you owe. I know but money has been tight lately, that’s all I could bring right now. Please forgive me. *Seeing things going bad in a hurry, Snake readied his sniper and flipped off the safety. He sighted in his target, and right as the gang member was about to swing on the target, Snake let a bullet fly. The businessman’s body hit the ground with a thud. He smiled at his shot, for it was beautiful. However, he forgot that he was still in the open on the roof. The gang was shining flashlights all over the roofs until finally, one hit Snake’s scope and created a glare.* There he is! Get that asshole! *Every gang member then pulled out either a pistol or a small SMG. The employee had lied, they were armed after all. This would complicate things. Snake was jumping from roof to roof until he could find a quick way down. He came across a fire escape and quickly hustled down the steps. Suddenly, Snake heard a faint, “split up.” That was a poor choice for them. He waited behind the corner he was at for he heard a gang member closing in. He was behind a garbage can. As the member reached the corner, Snake chucked a rock way in the air so the gang member didn’t see it. But when the rock landed on the other side of the alleyway, it made enough noise for the guy to turn around to look. Snake stood up and quickly slid his blade into the man’s back. He fell to his knees and Snake slit his throat to finish the job; four more to go. Two more men came down the alley, Snake quickly maneuvered around a neighboring alleyway to get behind them. They men stopped as they reached their fellow gang members body. Snake stealthily popped out, shot one in the head with his suppressed pistol, and then drove his blade into the other’s skull; two more to go. Snake went from alley to alley searching for the last two. When he finally spotted them, he hurried ahead to get in front of them. He quietly got on a low hanging fire escape. It wasn’t up very high but it was dark enough so he couldn’t be spotted. The last two men were staggered, one a little more ahead of the other. He waited until the front man was in front and the second man was directly beneath him. He pulled his pistol, and then shot the man in front in the head. He then jumped over the edge of the low hanging fire escape, landing directly on the final gang member beneath. He turned the man over and readied his blade.* Who the hell are you!? Your worst nightmare… *He slit the man’s throat. As Snake stood there pouring sweat over that challenge, he notice the man dropped a briefcase. Snake forgot about the 50k. What a nice addition that’ll be. He walked away towards the employee’s house that put the hit on; there was one more problem that needed to be discussed… As the former employee entered his house, he turned on the light to find Snake lying on his couch.* What the hell!? Well hello Charlie; nice to see you too. What are you doing sneaking in like that!? Well I came to get my money obviously but you see Charlie there just one more problem… *Snake picked up a table chair and smashed it into Charlie. He fell down in agony.* You fucking idiot Charlie! You said they wouldn’t have guns! Guess what!? They did mother fucker!! *He struck him again with his fists. Charlie, bleeding on the floor, began to weep.* I’m sorry, I didn’t know! I-I mean I did know I’m sorry! I thought that if you got him then they would get you and I wouldn’t have to pay anyone. I-I’m so sorry! Please forgive me I’m sorry! Me too kid, me too. *Snake raised his pistol and put a bullet into his head. Angry with another hit gone crazy, he headed back to his apartment. He sat down in his chair, poured another glass of scotch, lit up a cigarette, and pondered on how he could perfect his assassination tactics. Just when he thought he could relax, the phone rang…* TO BE CONTINUED… |
