“Much more than muffin nailed by Captain Jack” - Eve

Number two on the list was Captain Jack's Coffee and More ;-).  By the looks of the sign the semi colon, dash and close bracket was some sort of secret signal that was repeated throughout some of the reporting in Eve’s breathless account of her visit.  The blurb that accompanied the piece warmed the cockles of Larry’s heart; How could you have a nice cup of espresso without a scone.  Indeed.  He had high hopes for this place.

The coffee shop had been open for some time but the chairs and décor had been looked after well.  He took a wander round, the loveseats looked as if they had been well used with what Tammy would describe as a good coating of glitter.  Back in the main café area Larry sat down and looked over the small menu.  What was it with places like this and their small menus, it’s almost as if they had other things on their mind.

The espresso came and it was indeed good.  It may have been the only one in Detroit at the time, other cities were certainly experimenting with espresso and syrupy drinks though.  It wasn’t any better than other offerings available now, there was a certain grittiness to this particular cup.  Larry had ordered one of the cherry scones to go with it.  It wasn’t a large scone but was just the right size for the coffee and tasted like a lot of love had gone into it.  He grabbed his little notebook.

Captain Jack's Coffee and More ;-) – The more was a little less than I expected.  Coffee was tasty but nothing massively different to anything else available.  Delicious food though.  Six hoops out of ten.

It was a beautiful morning when Aleks woke up. He took a shower and got dressed. Opened his coffee box and shit it was empty. It was a big dissapointment. He took his hat and coat and walked downstairs. Walked the streets when saw Captan Jacks coffee shop. Entered the place and looked around. Sat down and ordered cup of coffee. Smoked few cigarettes and then paid for his drink.

Tutte had been out for pretty long now and was freezing since the sun were hidden many times behind clouds and make this day as one of the coldest so far, he needed something to warm him up with and saw that Captain Jack's Coffee and More were opened, he huries inton the warm cafe and directly get served and asks for a newly fresh cup of black coffee along with some small cakes to it too, the waiter thanked for the order and directly headed for the kitchen-area to get what he wanted and came back in just a few and put a cup of coffee in front of him along a plate with three different cookies, he thanked the man and started his moment in peace and really enjoyd the good coffee and also the cookies that tasted good.
