PS3 Benefits: Free online play, Best to watch movies on, can save a trip to the store and download games from PlayStation Network

Cons Of PS3: Not as many games, You get fat from not exercising by going to store to buy a game, Not really made for playing games

PS3, has awesome games (ahem Uncharted 2) free online play, and actual high definition player (wt? HDDVD? wtf is that? Nah never heard of it m8...blu-rays are over there lol) Sleek design good quality materials, not just a PC motherboard with a DVD reader plugged in. 40 million + people to play online with. netflix in USA, bbciplayer in UK, FirstPlay. Well basically whatever I want to do I can do it on a PS3.

Don't all start getting hissy, calling me a PS3 fanboy, I've had nearly every games console in the last 20 years and I like the PS3, it's my opinion and I'm sticking by it.

Xbox360, of course ! 

PS3 has better graphics for games usually, also the online gaming is free. But when it comes to the games xbox 360 always has better games. And online play is more fun from my experience with both gaming systems.

Last I checked Vic 360 had all that except blu ray...which I already own one so it doesnt matter and pretty irrelevant considering I bought a gaming console in the first place to play games on, not watch movies. You never heard of HDDVD? Are you in prison? Well they dont make them anymore but in my opinion were better than blu ray which has annoying audio and menu's aslo looked better well my hddvd of 300 and my blu ray of 300(I'd take HDDVD the originals)... $50 a year doesnt put my bank in the red so I dont mind paying to play online and have access to the online marketplace, facebook, twitter, last.fm, demos, trailers, arcade games, zune and netflix all on my tv. PS3's online community doesnt even compare to that of the 360's. But in the end its all a matter of opinion, I for one was just pointing out the obvious reasons I believe 360 is supperior.

You do know the Blu-Ray disc holds games too don't you? Games are only going to get bigger, so Blu-Ray is a natural media format for gaming. And don't bother saying that downloading games is the future because the worlds broadband infrastructure isn't up to par yet. And, don't bother mentioning korea and their gigabit broadband blah blah blah, until everyone with a games console gets well over 100MBit/s downloading games will be a laborious task, especially as they get bigger, for example I have 24MB broadband, which is still at the top end of home connections in my country (there are 50MB and 100MB services available but at stupid prices and with traffic shaping and download limits.), anyway even with my line, It would take 6 or more hours to download 50GB and that is if the line is stable and their is enough bandwidth server-side. 

So Blu-Ray, is well worth investing in a PS3, since it is the only available HD Disc format and will soon be the only way of getting huge games without waiting for hours and tying up your broadband. When it takes me no time at all since I have them delivered by post the morning they are released.

Remember let's keep this civil, there's nothing more annoying than an argument about PS3 vs 360, because it will never end, lots of ppl like the PS3, lots like the 360, let's agree to disagree.

I download full games on my 360 from time to time and they store on the HDD. Blu-ray may be the future but thats exacly it, the future, Im talking about now. Downloading games could be the future considering there are millions of people downloading from the next daily, that being large files like games and software. Google has a project going on right now and hopefully it's a success to bring Gigabit broadband to everyone.

Here in the UK our government (that's a laugh in itself) thinks that 2MB broadband will be achieved by 2012, and that is even an overestimation, nevermind 1GBit, that speed will not be seen universally for well over 10-20 years (depends how fast national infrastructure changes). Also, people downloading large files daily are doing so onto their PC's with much bigger hard drives and so space isnt a problem and even if it is they simply delete them when they get bored of them, as most of the time people are downloading games and software they havent even paid for, so it is no loss to them. (also, todays BIG files that people download DAILY are usually only around 4-8Gb, maybe 10-14 if an especially big game.) 

So if you buy games on your Xbxo are you really going to want to spend six hours downloading them (I'm talking big games, not crappy ooh 900Mb for only 3 dollars, i'll get it) then decide you want the HDD space, so delete it and then have to spend another six hours when you want to play it again?

Whereas, buy a blu-ray game, its yours, you've got it, forever, whenever, you want to play it, maybe in 10 years we will get on demand HD gaming...
