***"You pick! You want the money or you want to go back to your poor pathetic life?" The man had Sac's brother cornered in the living room. Sac knew his brother wouldn't betray his family name to become a petty drug dealer like this man was asking of him.

"You know what, actually" the guy walks over to Sac's mother who is on the couch crying and points the gun at her head. "Now what do you want?" The look in the guys eyes when he asked Sac's brother the question spoke loud and clear. It didn't matter what he said. He had already made the guy mad because he didn't agree in the first place. Somebody was going to die.

The man looked at Sac with the same eyes, eyes full of emptiness. Eight year old Sac knew there was no hope. The man looked back at Sac's brother and pointed the gun at him. Sac closed his eyes tight hoping the man would disappear. But with two loud shots he knew his family was gone. The man walks over to Sac and places the still hot barrel on Sac's cheek.***

*Sac wakes up to knocks on his door. Startled he yells out of frustration*

"FUCK!"

*Who the hell could be at the door at this time in the morning he thinks to himself. He grabs his piece and heads down the hallway to the front door.

"WHO IS IT!?" he said

"Me!"

*Knowing the familiar voice he opens up the door. It's an associate of the family he has just come to know. They man made arrangements for him to assist in a deal that he was involved with. Solely for protection even though it was a pretty routine deal. Sac figured it would help him get used to the flow of everything.*

"You're here three hours early." Sac said yawning. "What's going on?"

"Nothing I was just leaving from my girlfriends' house. Fucked around and past out there last night so now I can't go home because the wife will give me hell. I just don't feel like going through it right now so I figured I'd just come here."

*The guy kept sniffing like he had been up all night off coke but Sac paid it no attention*

"So you figured huh? Anyways come on in. Grab something to eat if you want."

*Sac hated dealing with drugs. Mainly he hated the people that were on the other side of the deal most times. They were so sloppy in their moves, nothing like the Mafioso. You could never trust a druggie. Sooner or later you're going to get caught with their sloppy asses or the bastards going to try to jack you. Either way it was a dead end deal, always ended with having to put them to sleep. *

*He headed into his room. He took his time getting dressed after he got out the shower. Thinking about his dream he wonders what would have happened if things when a different way that day. Would he be wearing the shoes he is today? Living the life he has chosen? Why did the man just leave him there?! Fuck it, it's to late now. *

* The two went to the restaurant where the deal was supposed to take place. On the way the details and instructions where given to him. He was to go through the front door with the drugs and head to the kitchen. Once in the kitchen he would drop the drugs in the pot under the sink and then return to the table where the others we're sitting pretending to have lunch. The rest will be taken care of*

*Once they rolled up to the restaurant the plan went into motion immediately. Low profile was the key, and keeping one was no difficult task for the quiet kid. Everything went completely flawless and once the deal was they left and headed back to his house.*

*As they get about a block away from Sac's house the other man speaks*

"Hey kid you wanna keep this quiet? Just between me and you. We'll split it 60/40 and you just keep your mouth shut and don't say a word about this to anyone else. OK?"

"What do you mean keep this between us? You aren't going to pay your dues?"

"Dues? Are you kidding me kid? DUES? Dues for what? What do those dues do for me or you? Shit the bastards should be PAYING US dues! 'You aren't going to pay your dues'. HA. Grow nuts kid. I made this money SO I PLAN ON KEEPING IT."

*The man continued to laugh mockingly. This pissed Sac of beyond belief. This is exactly what he didn't like. A non-loyal, ungrateful, and greedy bitch. He was acting just like a damn drug dealer, but Sac knew he had to keep his cool.*

"So your telling me that the boss doesn't know about this at all?"

"No. He doesn't need to. I put this deal together. I put my life on the line. So I should get the profits. Plain and simple."

*Sac contemplated his choices. He already knew he wasn't going to take the money but what does he do? Tell this guy he has to pay his dues? Yea right, there's no way that's going to happen. Does he take his cut and donate it all the head of the family and inform him of what has been done? Or does he take out his piece put it in this guy's mouth and end his filthy existence? The latter sounds most appealing but the other choice seems to be the correct one.*

"You sure you wanna do this? I can't go along with it and you know that."

"You can. You have no choice. You were already involved. Look you want the money or not? Either way you keeping your mouth shut"

*The words struck a nerve that made the anger undeniable. As they pull up to a stop sign and the guy looks at Sac with the same look that the man who killed his brother had when he gave his brother the ultimatum. What the fuck is this, Dvu?

*He couldn't help it. Not even 3 seconds passed after the look was given before Sac put a whole clear through the guys head.*

*Damn bastard. Sac knew that his actions might be taken wrong. That it might be seen as jumping command or he may even be seen as a traitor. But he would take the consequences as they may come because he can not tolerate a traitor. What if he had to go to war with this guy at his side one day? Would he be able to trust that this guy had his back? Instead of leaving it up in the air he decided to take care of it himself.*

*As Sac was about to get out of the car Sac picked up the fallen shell. It wasn't because he didn't want anybody to find it. His boss had enough pull with the police to not have to worry about that. He was going to keep this shell. This was going to be a reminder to him and everyone else that he was a man of morals and death should come to anyone without.*

*He walked over to the drivers side and pushed the other man over into the passenger seat, cleaned off the drivers' side window and drove the car to his CL. He knew where he could find him.*

*Driving off he knew that this could be the last time he also had the pleasure of experiencing life but he has never felt this right, this good about anything he's done in his life. So, death or not, it was worth it.*

My highest respect is reserved for those who come to our streets and provide the masses with a story or song. Wonderful effort, sir, and an enjoyable read. Well done.
