He had sat at the bar for 30 mins He new he had been on the go for some time now, here and there .. He'd forgotten where, just a blur!! A break "A Time OUT" thats what he needed, no time for that ..Just a short break. work .. Thats all that counts.. "pay your dues man.. you got a family now .. you belong..work.. keep going.. time later to chill (maybe). " But SHE needed his attention NOW. Not later Not when he was feeling better, frayed at the seems..NOW .... She had no idea who he really was ,except that he was an English Ex Soldier who had washed up in Detroit.. But she liked him , he was quiet,he had spoke to her like she counted , like she was a lady, had something. This guy, she thought, had something, she coulndt quite put her finger on it, but something, she wanted to find out more.. Johnny smiled his crooked smile , bought another couple of drinks. and promised to return. He left the bar, took a moment to gaze at the city in all its glory, and thought... TIME OUT LATER... I got WORK to do.. |

After a couple of hours WORK. Well thats what he called it .. He had actually knocked out grocery store owner , chocked her assistant near to death, and frightend the only coustomer so much that they had wet themselves.. Johnny went back back to bar where he had first seen and spoken to her.. In the hope that she was still there and interested in him.."Some hope but hey its a free life" he thought as he ordered a drink .. |

There she was ,over in the corner with another guy.. Working he guessed, Hadnt he been doing the same in the last couple of hours..; WORKING..So why shouldnt she.. He wanted to to take a break,, A Real Break.. |
