However should the crews themselves decide to war it out, I think they should be given the freedom to do so without outside interference. |

Wars require valid reasons despite what many would argue. Meaning that warring everybody in the district just to do so will be frowned upon and will come with the consequences decided by the rest of the Detroit Leaders. |

That's little too strict of a discipline in my opinion. I think restricting freedom is a very bad idea. Any conflicts should be decided by the crews themselves. This idea itself loses its point if outside crews dictate how the Black Bottom crews will operate. Of course, the crews must not attack anyone from the outside crews. |

Nello Every competition we have seen tried and failed has done so because of allowing freedom for the CL's to decide when they take action and when they will war the other crews in that district. This time around doing that will have the same result as it has the past five times. Nobody is saying you cannot take down another CL, all we are saying is don't be a war monger. If you want to take somebody down have proper reasons behind it not just oh I don't like him so I will kill them. Hopefully you understand the differences here in being strict and saying no wars vs what we are doing which is just asking for good reasons and proper play. |

I agree, shooting at others for no reason can be very annoying and hurting the play. However should someone decide to do just that, I believe other crews in Black Bottom should deal with him. I don't think he should be shot immediately. If someone proves himself to be a talented conqueror, I think he should be allowed to conquer. Within Black Bottom, of course. |

I understand what you mean Nello and I half agree. However I think the problem is knowing who is truly a proven conqueror and who is simply just a bloodthirsty tyrant. |

As much as I love these kinds of competitions, I much prefer when there is no interference at all and find that they work much better that way. I mean, you've already said that the godfather council is going to be picking who takes godfather, and they can't war inside the district as and when they please to remove competition - that's much more interference than I personally feel is needed in stuff like this. If someone as amazing as you're hoping does set up in black bottom, do you not have faith that they will weed out the weak and take the district for themselves without any interference needed? And if they can't do that themselves, they probably wouldn't have been a great leader anyway - right? Either way, I wish you the best of luck with it and hope it goes well for you. It's always interesting to see how these things turn out. |

Every competition has changes made for the better and I am not one to believe I am perfect by any means. Things can change and I am open to all suggestions and I do agree Northman in what you said but my question to you would be, after the past competition failing and eventually being shut down do you feel that making another go with that is the best thing for us to do? |

One time does not mean it will happen every time. If this one fails like the previous one did, then we will know for sure what isn't the right way to conduct it. |

Nello If I do indeed revise certain rules and change this around what the community wants which as I said I am not perfect and I have no problem revising if it is agreed with the Godfather Council and making restrictions and turning it into a Godfather competition. However if it does fail, what exactly do you propose be done with Black Bottom if we do? Because the way I see it is if this competition fails with the changed rules and we have to shut it down again, giving it to somebody else will just bring out the people who will bitch that we just want to control the entire game. |

"I honestly like the idea of seeing how people can work together without warring. My ancestors have been in situations myself where they weren't so happy about having to work with someone while being in a position of power. Just because your a crew leader doesn't give you the licences to do whatever you want. I think having these families acting as if they already had a godfather really will give the rest of us a chance to see who really can hang in this business. I am also pretty sure that if two families are really having such problems that they have to war and have a good reason for it just like any other crew leader then they will be justified in doing so. This is a step up from the last few matches this world has seen similar to this one. You have to remember that even families now aren't all best friends but they don't just kill each other because they might dislike each other. Why should this district have that opportunity? Remember most people who are smart and set up have connections in this world and if you just go and kill them just because you want godfather or you think they are lame doesn't mean there wont be consequences for your actions." After putting his two cents in Skip steps down from his soapbox and walks away whistling. |

The reason all the other competitions failed was due to outside interference and other crew leaders/Godfathers essentially determining the outcomes. Would be a shame if this was the case with this competition as one of the reasons that put me off entering the previous contests in New York was the large amount of ambiguity surrounding "unnecessary bloodshed" and where the line was drawn. This might worry you considering your close proximity to the district but I wouldn't expect any in fighting to spill out. I think it would be unfair to interfere and potentially criticize those who have killed their fellow authed leaders in the district when quite frankly we all got here through doing the exact same thing. Good luck to all those who enter. |

To kind of speak on what Skip said. I think that is why I made this competition how I did. We do not go around shooting each other every single time we want to. We are not a blood shed every month style community. We try to build and build the right way and why should a competition be any different? Just because the word competition is in it doesn't mean it has to be a blood soaked free for all. Though I do agree that it may be best to step out of the chosen Godfather and leave that up to the district themselves to choose. This is something I will be consulting with the Godfather Council about to see if they believe this as well. |

Cohen is intrigued by what Billy had said and couldn't help but be excited for the new things to come. "This will be great opportunity for Detroit has a whole to grow and once again become a thriving city. I am also excited to see who will emerge as leaders and what they will bring. It's always good to see new faces take on a different role and see what comes of it." After voicing his opinion, Cohen goes back into the crowd. |

This is interesting and I look forward to seeing how this works out in Black Bottom. I am one for seeing people been giving the opportunity to run there own family whether they are new or old to this world of ours. |

Personally I think this is a wonderful idea and a great opportunity. I have decided to take this chance with both hands and hope I can help shape the city of Detroit into something special in the future. |

Bud listens to everyones opinion on this matter. He nods to everyone, then clears his throat preparing to speak his side. I like this idea. Allowing them to run as their own, with no restrictions. Back in the day, my father use to tell me all about the different experiments throughout history. How you were restricted Bodyguards and Forts etc.. Running things this way gives everyone a fighting chance to run their crew, which is always good. Quickly taking a breather, Bud continues I salute you Stelengum and wish you the best of luck. As well to anyone who decides to call Black Bottom their home! |
