***This is an open RP, but there are a few rules. Be respectful, keep it real, keep it in period and in character. This is a Serious rp, while some levity is ok keep it real.*** Vince sat behind the wheel of his recently acquired car, it was still hot so he knew he'd have to ditch it soon, but for right now it was as good a place as any to hide in plain sight. He'd been made a proposal that he considered indecent, but he wasn't sure how to get out of it. The feds were putting a lot of heat on him to infiltrate some of the bootleg operations, and while that was, he knew futile, at the moment, he had no friends, and few choices. The Feds had already run him in twice on false charges, all they needed to see was that he was Italian, and that he still spoke with a heavy accent. Finally, and with great reluctance he got out of the car, leaving it open, he walked into a small restuaraunt, hoping that he could find something there to help him, whether advice or booze, at this point he didn't care. He sat at the closest table, and realized his mistake instantly, this place was crawling with cops. This must be the local cop joint. He sighed, and pulling a menu ordered quickly and quietly. "Spaghetti per favore, con pane." Maybe some good Italian would settle the stomach a little On second thought he flagged the waiter down again. "E, se c'ne dei nostri amici sono qui potreste chiedere prego loro di trasmettere qualcuno per vederlo?" He just had to hope that the young man caught the veiled reference to Friends of ours, at the moment that was all he could do. He dug in when the food arrived and was just cleaning his plate when a figure slid into the booth across the way. Vince "carefully put his fork down and slid his coffee cup forward to hold it in both hands, proving he couldn't get to his gun. ""Ssignore? ci qualcosa che possa fare per voi?" Vince paused a moment before repeating himself in broken English. "Is there something I can do for you?" **Translations** "Spaghetti per favore, con pane." "Spaghetti please, with bread." "E, se c'ne dei nostri amici sono qui potreste chiedere prego loro di trasmettere qualcuno per vederlo?" "And, if any of Our Friends are here could you please ask for them to send someone to see me?" "Ssignore? ci qualcosa che possa fare per voi?" "Yes sir? Is there something I can do for you? *** |

The figure across from him didn't say anything for a moment. And Vince was left looking at the man he had asked to meet. Vince wasn't sure this was a good idea, but he really didn't have any place to go. And his father had always told him that the Family was the best place to go when your back was to the wall. "It has come to my attention that you are claiming to be a Friend of a Friend." The voice was schooled and even. "What do you need." Signore, vengo a voi, facendo lasciare niente di, this you know, by my look, and by the things you know of me, I have nothing to my name. I would not presume to ask for something I could not return. "For at this moment there are those in positions of power who seek to break me and will not listen to reason. But they see that I have friends, and they want me to introduce them to those friends without regard for the necessities of such a meeting. And they seek to make my life unbearable if I refuse this. Already they take what I have and further still, they harass me at any time, night or day that I might not know who to trust." "What can we do for you?" "I would merely ask that as a show of friendship, you allow me a place to stay, and that you reason with these Uomini senza motivo. So that I can live in peace. And, some day, when you have need of it, whatever you ask, whatever I have is yours. For I am aware of the way of friendship. And I know that this is a big thing I ask, to be a friend. But if it cannot be, perhaps you would point me to a friend of ours who might be willing to help me."
