What is it good for? 

Anyway, before people proceed any further. I am not announcing a war on anyone or anything. Sadz, I know...but meh, Why fight when you can love,right?

Well, that is one of the questions I plan on discussing here,today. Do we need to have wars here? If we do, do we really need a reason beyond 'I could and so I did'?

Wars have and will always be a large part of this world of ours. They separate the losers from the winners, in a rather final way. The 'almost-there's from the champions and legends. They have also been the periods in our world when we have had the most activity,by far. Guess when your life is threatened, people feel a need to react. Weird.

Moving on,  Wars have shaped this world. Some might even say that they are the only real tool for any actual shaping to take place. Personally, I would be inclined to disagree but not by a lot. Wars are,by and large, the only times when rapid change happens. 

Or is it? Can this world be shaped by something else? Something like a prolonged period of peace at the end of which everyone just decided to walk off into the sunset together? Yes, I know how stupid that sounds but...what if something like that was to happen...would that be a viable alternative to war? Just people getting along. Would that make our world a better place to live in?

Finally, I was reading up on some of the most recent events to transpire on these fine Streets and the death of a certain preacher of a very popular religion grabbed my attention. Well, it was the fact that the perpetrators of said attack were accused of attempting to try and pull wool over the eyes of almost every respectable mafioso, who didn't know the inner workings and plans, by claiming certain acts of misconduct by said preacher. 

Majority of people seemed to take offense in the fact that there was an attempt to apparently con them into thinking it was something more than a power play rather than the fact that it was an actual power play in a situation where different men and women are expected to work together. 

That got me thinking. Would the public, as a whole, be more happier with a Godfather or Don who was simply brutally honest? Would we be ok with someone who just went 'I didn't like that cunt's suit...so I fucking killed his entire city' rather than a person who tries to dress it up to make him/her seem like a martyr who didn't want to do the deed but was forced to do so.

Well,that's it. I eagerly await responses and my apologies if I rambled a bit.....I blame Jeddy, I don't know why but I do.

Its nice to get a bit of insight into what they are thinking, but honestly a bit of short blunt honesty would be refreshing from time to time. Some things really don't seem to have much more motive then "I wanted an opening on the ladder above me so I made one". Its not going to win them any popularity points but then again there are no versions of the truth there is only the truth might be nice to see more of it.

In a world like ours, men of power are driven by their desires. They may want power, or money, or influence, or loyalty, or a place in history, or maybe they just want to watch the world burn. Regardless of the quality or quantity of their desires, that is what drives them to act. This puts every one of us on an inevitable collision of desires, as we are unable to pursue our desires wholly independently. When faced with this collision, we can meet it with cooperation or conflict. Peace requires trust; war requires strength. When we look back at extended periods of peace, we must either contribute that to a lack of strength or an abundance of trust.

Now, as one who responded to the death of the black bottom in Black Bottom, I will offer this: this is a world of endless collisions. Therefore, how you handle one collision will directly affect how the next one approaches. Because of the way the leaders of Black Bottom handled their collision with Stelengum, they must now prepare to handle following collisions alternately because the individuals who set up in Black Bottom see them differently.

This is why it is vital to not only shape how a collision occurs, but how you can modify its characteristics to improve your chances of surviving the next. An individual who holds nothing back and meets every collision violently will not be able to offer any amount of trust to his peers or colleagues, and therefore the only thing preventing war with this individual is his opponents' lack of strength. Strength grows quite rapidly in this world, and it is extremely difficult to persistently keep your rivals weaker than you.

It's a very fun environment, but it gets very tricky very quickly.

I wouldn't say all wars are needed some can be avoided with better communication but I think at times we need wars to change things as otherwise we would never evolve we would just be stuck in the same place until we grow old and disappear off into the sunset which seems a bit dull in all honesty. I don't believe we need anymore than I wanted that District dead so we leveled it. I tend to find when leaders start throwing in more than one reason for a war they tend to open themselves up to criticism as we have seen recently.

 Yes wars do make change happen a lot quicker and change can happen without wars but if all the leaders at present stayed in their current roles and their families stayed the same as we don't have that much of an influx of new blood, how much do you think would change?

Yes things shouldn't be dressed up, if it was a power play say it was a power play if it is something more say it was something more. By dressing things up and fabricating information or stretching the truth doesn't look good for the speaker as I tend to find we as a community tend to question things that we believe to be untrue and the speaker ends up looking foolish.
