Today, ladies and gentlemen, our world has bade farewell to the last remaining Godfather born of the May War.

As many of you will remember, the conflict, just under a year ago now, saw the near leveling of our world, leaving Cpt-Harris to oversee the rebuilding of the fallen cities, and internal rebuilding of Chicago itself.

Chicago has seen many leaders rise and fall under it's wings in the last 10 months. We have seen several Godfather's come and go, and nearly ever incarnation of nearly every city was born from one of the districts of Chicago. And even today, most, if not all, of what our world has, found it's origins to be in Chicago.

And most of it, came from five men. Cpt-Harris, Solastalgia, Lynch, ChaosSpike, and JakeLuciano.

To demonstrate the size and scope of Chicago in this period, I'll attempt to name every crew leader who first set up shop inside Chicago since May:

The Loop:
Cpt-Harris, Ariadne, Ziva, Kpacumup, Prozac, Viene (moved to DT, was Godfather of Black Bottom), Penquin, G_Man, Muffin, Ratman, iocaste, Husky, Maple, Vash, Diablos

South Side:

If I went on to those who had lived in Chicago and were authed after moving out of the city, the list would be ridiculous in length - but I'm sure this serves to demonstrate just what a busy year it has been in Chicago. If we told the story of how Chicago went from the end of the May War today, I'm sure we could sit here for many hours. 

But, here are the questions that I wish to ask of you fine people today.

The retirement of JakeLuciano, for better or for worse, brings to and end in my opinion, what can be called the Post-War era within Chicago. Do you believe that the city is better or worse for this? Do you believe our world is better for it? Who would you describe as the most influential leaders and Godfather's of this past just short of a year? Where there any particular highlights to your mind, are there any regrets to be had, do you feel? Is there anything to your mind that sticks out as particularly symbolic of Chicago since the end of the war?

We've seen a lot happen since May, and I'm sure that the future will be just as exciting for both those of us here in the Windy City, and those outside. Here's to the future, Chicago!

It really is sad to see JakeLuciano retire. He always seemed to be one of the more level headed leaders in this world.

As Sammy listened to this and thought about the questions that was asked. "Well Maria as my grandfather was on these list and seeing the last of the original CLs set up after the May war. I say its a say it's a sad day and considering Jake being IA lately, no offense to the late GF, This is good for the city of Chicago as now they can rebuild with hopefully a new GF. I hope to see how Chicago and the rest of the city's rebuild from this"

Thank you for your apology Maria. I wont lie this oversight depressed me so much I decided to attend Don Jeddy's promotion party and that was the best decision I have ever made.

Don Jeddy managed to relieve me of my dark thoughts of being completely ignored as a Suburbs auth by you Maria. Don Jeddy is a great man and also a Don who can never rogue from what I have heard.

Don Jeddy is a man to whom I one day hope to reach the level of greatness of, Godfather Cantillion. Unlike me, he would never, ever forget you as a Suburbs auth, and I am sure his love, hugs and rainbows helped to ease the pain of my amnesia.

Hello, friends! I heard word that I, the most FABULOUS Don Jeddy, has been said three times, I would just like to state that I am not a rogue! Yes, I did auth myself to have a "Don Jeddy promotion party", and that I gave myself perm-auth to relieve Godfather Cantillon of his depressed mood.

One particular highlight from what you've said was my good ol' comrades Penquin and Ratman, I regret not being there 100% in their tenure as Godmother/Crewleader, but I am also happy that comrade Godfather ToyArmadillo allowed me to notrogue over to Brooklyn as buttonmen began their clean-up sweeps of the Loop.

But alas, you know what they say, "You can't have a rainbow without a little rain!"

Pausing for a moment, Don Jeddy realized he had forgotten something while being flooded with all this nostalgia in the history of this thing of ours,

"Why, this reminds me! While digging through some old boxes to look for some streamers for my Don Jeddy Promotion Party I found a diary about my old notrogue father Rothschild, who was first brought in by his friend Arrow (GRHS) to Finnick's crew. After a couple weeks of being there, he felt that he would not be such a great fit, so he managed to get in touch with the lovely and Amazing Gravy Queen Ziva and her best friend Midol to take him in in a complete non rogue fashion, as is the family tradition. Later he would be taken as Kpacumup's left hand, where he went into a terrible coma for five months, probably to recharge his rainbows and came back, on Halloween, where he stayed until he was ruthlessly gunned down in the West Side/Detroit take-down."

"Hmm, my father's journal speaks rather highly of Arrow, and her love of 'cooked bread'. Sadly it doesn't mention what happened to her, it must have happened while he was asleep."

A city needs active people to grow and prosper, for a long time Chicago has shrunk where it's own turned on each other, and nothing was stopped even when the warning lights was there and even talked about by non Czylharz leaders.  When elements of a city are leaking out incognito names  and leaking people retiring you know is never good combined with the paranoia where people scroll the lists of new arrival searching out of paranoia.  The simple fact is with the death of BrandonHeat and the alleged rumours of his unhappiness of another leader in Chicago who was unsure who would back him up in a fight,  the truth is its hard to know how Chicagos future lies.

The truth is recently jakes position had been up for mockery on irc avenue and in the streets due to the lack of activity although others have defended it.  At the height of Chicago things looked great, but a lack of control at stage left it in freefall which it never recovered from especially when people who were despised for their bloodlines treachery were put back into powerful positions after multiple lines betrayal.

The hope is things improve for Chicago as is good for business for all, but is looking to what brought them together so strong once upon a time to recombine and build the same way without the screw ups that made people like legendary retire.

Iocaste was a CL in the South Side... just saying.

If you check the list, Carlo, you will find that Godfathers are listed under the Chicago location which they last resided in. Iocaste was Godfather of the Loop at the time of his death... so he's on the Loop's list, not the South Side one...

Night, you're quite right, of course. I have no idea how I missed BackToShootPeeps. Again as with Godfather Cantillion, the lists were checked over by a few people and somehow BackToShootPeeps fell through the cracks. Suburbs was the most difficult district to list from, I found. Apologies to the current representative of the BackToShootPeeps/BOD line, again, this was not an intentional mistake.
