Tommy woke to a knock at his door. It was Gino, his best friend. They had grown up on Mulch Boulevard deep within the Italian neighborhood. Gino had a rather scary look on his face. He had a long scar on his left cheek. He had gotten this in a brawl a few years back. Tommy could see the sweat on his forehead. Wondering why he was out of breath, Tommy asked him what was up. With nervous hase, Gino replied "There is a hit on your head I was told to make my way here as fast as I can to warn you. Seems the family of the guy we took out last Saturday turned out to be The Falconese. We killed there nephew man!" Total shock took over Tommy's face. Why did they not get this information before the hit. Was it held from them? Was the information not known at the time? Many questions flew through his mind as he quickly dressed. He put on his favorite silk shirt and his pants. He slowly slid on his brown leather loafers and made his way back to Gino. "Gino how much is this hit for" Gino replied "100 thousand bro". Tommy shook his head as he placed his revolver in the back of his pants. He slid on his sportscoat and he followed Gino to the car. Inside the car where a few of the boys. There was Lenny, Tino, and Anthony. They had been assigned by the Don to protect Tommy. After a few hello's, they where on there way. Gino made sure to let Tony know they where on there way to the family ship yard. Tommy was too important to the family. He had been with them for over 13 years now and had proven his worth time and time again. The Don knew that he was one of his most loyal soldiers. Ever since the day Tommy saved his life. It was 13 years ago that it happened. The Don had lost 3 of his bodyguards while running from a hired hitman. Tommy was in the laneway mugging some poor mug when the Don came racing down the laneway. Tommy recognized him from the local pizza shop. As the Don ran by he asked Tommy for help. Tommy had known it was his chance to move up in life and fired at the assassin as he turned the corner. The body fell hard to the ground as Tommy stood over it. He raised his gun and shot one more time, hitting the assasin right in the face. Tommy snapped back to reality as they raced along the quiet streets heading towards the strong hold. Meanwhile at the ship yard..... |

Back over at the shipyard Louie and Vinny were awaiting news from Gino about Tommy. They were getting worried when a few hours had passed and still no word from anyone. They peered out into the bay also to keep an eye on foreign ships in their territory. It was well known that you don't cross any waters owned by other importers. They both wanted to be involved in the inner working of the family, but knew they had to prove themselves to the Boss first. They knew it could take years, they were just waiting for the right time and place. Maybe being left at the yard they would see something happen one day and have the chance to act on it. Today had a different feel, aside from the fact that something was going on with Tommy. Luis and Vinny were trying to figure out what it could be. Did Tommy betray the family? Did someone try to go after him to prove a point to the Don? What in the world could it be the two wondered. They knew one of the Falconese had gone down last week, so maybe it had something to do with that. As Luis and Vinny were going back and forth with a million ideas in their head, they heard an explosion come from the bay. The two ran out and saw one of their docked ships on fire. "What the hell?" Vinny shouted. Luis drew the gun from his belt and knelt down while moving toward the dock. "Were you born yesterday Louie? What are you doing standing there like that?" Before Louie could answer, He was down. A gunshot to his forehead got to him before he could react. Vinny opened fire in the direction of the first gunshot and he heard a body splash back into the water. He turned around and inspected the body of his dead associate, he felt no pulse. "Shit, I'm going to get these bastards" he thought to himself as he ran back to the garage. He knew the boss wasn't going to like this at all. Ten minutes later; Gino, Tommy, and the Boss walk in. Before they could say anything Vinny said "Louie is dead, a ship has been blown up....but I killed one of theirs". "The Falconese did this" Tommy said instantly. Well, we're going to teach them a lesson. They need to know this ends now. |
