Fallen from the mighty throne I once owned

It had been 5 years since that faithful day in January. It was still cold as the winter had just begun and business seemed to be going well. Within years the company had grown from a small 5 businessmen to a booming factory of 117 people. Amazing, isn’t? Well things were about to change that day.

The telephone rang. ’Hey, it’s Mario. We had a few start-up problems with the orders of this week and will need a few more days before shipping’.

‘No problem. Just keep me posted on the progress and I will handle the shipping delay’ Admiral replied.

Just a week ago the company employed a new financial observer to keep the cost of the running orders in check and was asked to keep an eye those delayed orders. The weeks past and Mario hadn’t reports any problems to Admiral Ackbar. All seemed well until some unexpected bills started rolling in. Admiral was on sharp and instructed the financial observer to check it all over and report back. And that’s when it all went wrong. Hours later the entire upper structure of the company was in the Crisis room.

‘Minor start-up problems, huh’ Admiral said with anger in his voice.
‘Do you have any idea what you have done, Mario?’

‘1.2 million dollars went up in thin air within a week! And you call that minor start-up problems!!’ Admiral yelled.

Because the company was working on large orders they had massive amounts of materials in their factory and not the financial reserves to pay their bills with this major loss.

The phone had been red hot the past week with companies waiting for their bills to be paid. And the longer they waited the angrier they got. There was nothing we could do, just get these large project finished and earn nothing off it..

It was late in the afternoon when suddenly there was a enormous racket outside. As we ran outside a large truck had rammed the gate and a group of man were loading materials into the truck.
