Remington 870 express with the pistol grip. Decent price and very common but easy to handle and great for close range. If I had to use anything for more than 50 yards I'd take something like the 30-06 or a 308. Pack a punch but good range on them and accurate. I actually have a version of all three as well as a winchester lever action rifle. It's a 40-0864 or some shit. Large rounds but not a bad rifle all around.
