Nothing But The Truth We swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth... so help us God. Thank you for picking up the first issue of Nothing But The Truth, the newest gossip tabloid for the Seven Crime Cities. We are here to only report the truth, or at least our version of whatever that may be. As luck would have it, we decided to take our first issue to print on a week when... not much has happened at all. Hopefully we can still bring an entertaining paper full of variety, enough to satiate those appetites until something awesome and non-boring happens around here. Once again, thanks. Read on carefully, folks, because we're reporting Nothing But The Truth! Your excited staff: Aurora, Mirage and Marietta Disclaimer: If you are alive, hell, even if you are dead, you MAY be the subject of one or many of our articles. If you don't like it please forward all hate mail to Reporter Sugar at Nothing But The Truth, c/o Marietta. Thanks! **** Til Death Do Us Part Success! Dat Bum's Married! Article by Spice Version 2.0 Love is in the air and it smells like rose petals, white doves and dirty sheets. American mobsters have been spending a lot of time in churches recently, but not for funerals. They're getting married like there's no tomorrow. The trend even hit senior citizens like GrandNannyRourke who recently wed her long time sugar daddy, Brill_Vizzini. The senile wedding took place in the mummy department at the Egyptian museum. Several guests attended the wedding, including Denver who was so drunk he thought he was at a lesbian wedding. Marriage madness has been wide spread in Chicago. Three high profile couples recently exchanged vows and got God's blessing to get their freak on. The biggest union was between the self proclaimed "Sexy Chicago Emo Kids", Hayley and Phantom-Ghost. Instead of a traditional church wedding the leaders eloped to Las Vegas where they got married in front of a few close friends and hit the jackpot later that night in their honeymoon suite. After attending the wedding of the Chicago power couple, ProphetOfDeath got bit by the love bug and proposed to his main squeeze, MissFreedom. The ring he gave her was a white gold band with a cluster of diamonds designed like a gun. Very appropriate for a mafia couple. The newlyweds are accepting monetary gifts at both their homes in Chicago and Los Angeles. There's a rumor the groom gave his bride a nude painting of himself for a wedding present. Another Chicago couple tied the knot recently. Da_Kurlzzz allegedly killed a jewelry store clerk to get an expensive ring for his sweetheart, Calhinhas. The police attempted to arrest DK after the wedding, but he went on the lam. Several days later an anonymous witness saw Mr. and Mrs. Kurlzzz on their honeymoon in Niagra Falls. They police attempted to apprehend DK again, but he shot his way out of it. Unfortunately Calhinhas was killed by the police's returning gun shots. Rest in peace, Mrs. Kurlzzz. GRHS. **** Not Another Detroit Tax Article?! Yep, Another One Article by Spice You guessed it! Just when you thought the flood had stopped, here I am to give you another gush. So, you're crying over a Death Tax in Detroit? You're asking "who the hell said I'm not allowed to shoot some bum over in Motor City?" . You might also be telling yourself "no one tells me what to do, I'm not paying any money to shoot that guy. I'm going to do whatever I want.". Well, I've got news for you, pal. Godmother Marietta imposed this tax, so it's pretty safe to say that you WILL pay the tax, if you don't want to be fish food as soon as her or her team catch you. You think you can be sneaky and get away with shooting in Detroit before paying? Well, truth be told someone will turn you in, it's just a matter of time before you get caught. Once you are though, you can bet your life (literally) that you'll be swimmin with those cute little hungry fishies. Godmother Marietta is not one to test. You sure can try to push her buttons, but if you do...you're in for a sore surprise. The last time someone tested her, she had their bar burned down and the person himself disappeared. Coincidence? I think not. You didn't hear that from me though. Some of you have said before "This is old, and unoriginal", and "this is just a copy off of the past Godmother of Philadelphia; Anita". Some of you tried to bring her down, and rain on her parade with trying to point this stuff out. HELLO, she already knew this. In fact, Marietta stated point blank in her speech that the Detroit Death Tax was not completely original. However, it's definitely not identical to Anita's tax of yester-year. So what if the idea isn't completely original? What ideas are these days. I mean really, if you take a good look around, there's always going to be that naysayer pointing out "What are you thinking? Don't you remember when (insert historic name here) did that with their family?". The bottom line here is, if you don't like the tax, don't pay it. If you value your life and want to shoot in Detroit, I strongly suggest you pay the tax. If your leader hasn't paid the tax for the whole family, scrape up that 420k and pay it yourself. Your leader doesn't have to hold your hand 24/7. **** This Week In the Mafia ...A Year Ago Article by Everything Nice Tons of new and exciting ventures, speeches and business relations are made every day here in the mob. Yet did you ever wonder about yester-year? What were the Mafiosi of 'back then' up to in the week of January 9th through the 15th? Well I'll tell you what they were up to, damn it. It's time for a glimpse into the past that... really wasn't all that long ago! January 9th: The world was just seeing the tail end of a war between Badass Inc. headed by Don Oliver_McTavish, the then Chicago family and La Casa di Giaquinto headed by Sal_Giaquinto, one of the then existing New York families, head to a war that lasted almost all evening. Paddy and Octavius, then Casa members, announced they were going to be purchasing warehouses to aid the New York side of the war. Other New York Leader, Gaara, leader of the Alcoholics Anonymous, was accidentally killed in his sleep. When all is over and done with Chicago is named the victor, and Cathy_Parks, then leader of the Red Fez Connection out of Philly, announces that no one is to touch the homeless. January 11th: JohnnyAxe, Right Hand Man to Oliver_McTavish, was seen in the streets making a speech about the purpose of funerals after a nasty bout of funeral misbehavior swept the nation. Mystery, then Red Fez Connection member, was seen announcing the Mafia Series of Poker; a tournament to be held in the Six Cities. January 12th: Cathy_Parks has been steadily running an underground boxing entertainment business, called "Saturday Night Fight". The 12th marks the date of the match between Alfieri, then Las Vegas Mob Boss (The Iguana Corporation) and Oliver_McTavish (Badass Inc.). Alfieri won with a knock-out punch. January 13th: Then New Orleans leader Moretay (La Famiglia di Soldati) was seen in the streets making a speech about personal ambitions versus the wants and needs of your family. That same day Cathy_Parks announced the auth of her first Family Leader (Captain), Mystery to head up the Morocco Mole Division. January 15th: Badass Inc. held it's first (and only) family wedding between SuperSao and The_Fallen. Oliver_McTavish acted as the minister, having been ordained on the side, and JohnnyAxe (Right Hand) and Jordan (Consigliere) were the Best Man and Maid of Honor, respectively. **** Dear Sugar The Original Know It All Bitch Advice by Sugar
Dear Stupid, Skip joining them and put a bullet in your fucking head right now. The underground is a one way ticket to hell. If you find the rebels before you shoot your face off tell them to dry their tears, wipe their noses and stop being fucking cry babies because the world isn't the way they want it to be. It sucks because of people like them. Grow up or die, loser. Love, Sugar -----
Dear Marietta, If you're still doing men you're bi sexual. Call me. Love, Sugar **** Casino For You? Casino For Me. Article by Spice On January 12th Squishy announced that casinos were going to be up for sale to individual people via a closed bidding process. Now we can all wonder what kind of city bickering this can cause. If you own one of the casinos does that make you the Alpha in the city? In cities with only one family leading, the bidding would be significantly easier since not every Tom, Dick and Harry have ten million dollars just floating around in their bank accounts. What about the cities with two or three leaders? Sure the higher ranked and more powerful figure head would have the upper hand, but just how bad could one person want this? Will it be enough to kill over? I guess we can only wait and hope. I mean wonder. As stated in the introductory speech, once the permit owner dies, so does the casino. If you eliminate your threats, i.e. the current owner of the casino you want, then you could place your bid on the free permit. Wham bam thank you and come again; you're the proud new owner of a beautiful, bloody casino. This brings up the next point of concern. If you're already trying to scrape up the initial ten million for the large casino purchase then whose to say you will have enough money to even keep up with the flow of money coming in and out of said casinos daily? I mean sure, we can all hope that everyone loses all of the time but the reality is there are some crazy people out there like FrankPerez who have severe gambling addictions. Sometimes those people get on a hot streak and walk away with millions at a time. Now they might fly to the next city and put those riches back into a few hands of blackjack or roulette. You never know. That's why it's called gambling. That's what we like to tell the gamblers at least. The casino owners should take this advice as well. You could have a couple of card counters or table sharks that come around every now and then. Now the people who are really good at this will make themselves unnoticeable for quite some time, all the while taking you little by little. Before you know it BAM! You're broke as a joke. I'll bet your first reaction will be to want to break their kneecaps, and rightfully so. However, can you really prove that they weren't counting those cards? No, you probably can't. Not if they know what they're doing. You really have to be careful with the way you set up your gaming operations. The bidding has now closed, and we can only wait and wonder who the proud new permit holders are. Come one, come all! What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine. That's what the struggle will be about now. I'm sure we'll see some sore losers on both ends of the stick here, and I'll be here waiting to report back on it like the spicy journalist I am. **** Seen and Heard What's Happening With the Happenin' Mobsters? Boss from Chicago's Fallen Angels, Lucifer, throwing a one-man protest outside of a local bakery. Was overheard chanting "We want doughnuts, we want doughnuts." The_Jedi, business man from Detroit, brandishing a fake sword at children outside a neighborhood playground. Throwing bricks at passing cars, outstanding member of the SCICG syndicate, JohnnyTheMan claimed he was doing it for the justice of all birds. From Chicago, Raoul-Duke, wearing boxing gloves while punching at mailboxes along Main Street. New Orleans Mob Boss SaintTonyCapone, enjoying drinks with an unnamed blonde in a quiet, quaint little bar. After an exhausting night at the Opal Garden, L.A. hotspot AnthonyGreen, a local, curling up inside a garbage dumpster outside of the club and placing his thumb in his mouth while he slept. Muqtada, rumored to be the next Don in the Seven Cities, screaming at a waitress in a restaurant for bringing him a hamburger, instead of the cheeseburger he ordered. **** WTF Rant by Sugar It's been far too long since I've ranted so put some socks on your cocks because this one is going to be a ball buster, baby. According to a few people who spoke on the streets recently Godfather Marietta is the boss of all the bosses. What the fuck? Have you people lost your fucking minds along with your back bone? Marietta is not the fucking boss of everyone. In case you're too stupid to notice she's the Godfather of Detroit, not the Godfather of the entire fucking world. Yes I still use the term Godfather. If you have a problem with it go fuck yourself. Godmother is gender specific. What the fuck? Anita and Scotland are probably rolling over in their graves because they were women who were Godfathers. Obviously you morons forgot about the ranks of Wise Guy and Made Man. Why aren't they Wise Girl and Made Woman? I'll tell you why. Because that would look as fucking stupid as Godmother. Rank has nothing to do with gender. It's a title. Apparently necrophilia is a popular new hobby in the mafia. VeronicazotzRourke is getting more action in the cemetery than Muqtada gets from prostitutes under his desk. What the fuck? KingOfOnePercent, Frijj and Someone were recently seen taking their clothes off near the cougar's final resting place in Detroit. Guys, please let the woman rest in peace. There are plenty of old ladies buried in Vegas you can get lucky with. If you kill someone -48 you'll get killed for it. That's what Don MickeyRourke had to say in a recent debate about the 48 hour rule. Oh really, Mickey? Thank you for that mind blowing insight. In the same debate a few mobsters from Detroit criticized people for talking about the rule because it's been talked about before. What the fuck? Hey Detroit, how about this for a debate topic? Shut the fuck up. You run the mafia, but you don't own the fucking streets. **** NBTT presents... Real Mobsters of Genius (Real mobsters of geeeeniiiuuuuuus!) Today we salute you, Mr. Extremely Angry Rule Breaker. (Mr. Extremely Angry Rule Break-ah!) You've broken one of your Leader's many rules and all you can feel is rage. Lots and lots of rage. (What the hell is going on?!) Who the hell does he or she think she is any way? Why, it must be their fault that you shot that kid right between the eyes. (It's all their fauuuulllt!) It's time to $&%^ing get some $%*&ing revenge on that *@#$ing Boss of yours for this #$&%ing abomination. (Sir, your ass will be MIIIIIIIINE!) So have yourself a soothing swig of truth serum on us, roid' rage. Your punishment of death will surely serve as a warning to all of us not to 'blow our tops'. (Mr. Extremely Angry Rule Breaaaakeeerrrrrrrr!) **** Question of the Week NBTT is as nosy as your mother. By Mirage This week's question: Why did you join the mafia? Fallen Angels Made Man, Mobsta_Marley gave credit to his ancestors for introducing him to the mafia. "My greatest of the great grandfather Birdman_Marley came over on the Banana boat straight out of Kingston Jamaica." Marley said. "He had great dreams and great drive. He ran across this guy the same day he arrive on American soil. It was a guy by the name of Rockstar (a legend in his time) who was running a small crew out of some back ally bar. It was call The Supreme Court of Smoking Pipes!" The Jamaican mobster rolled a big blunt and continued, "I'll never forget how my father told me this same story that his father and his father told years before. To make a long story short. Rockstar showed my greatest grandfather the ropes and soon after Birdman was one of the top hitman for the family. He served for a long time under Rockstar and watched a empire be built all over America. With families in every city and control of all the money and drugs in this thing of ours. Birdman_Marley, A true Shotta!" A grave digger from Detroit, DiggerRourke was introduced to the mafia by a hitman. "A killer called TheDean got me into this thing." Digger said and added, "I joined because it's a form of revolt, a revolt from the general order. The stronger you get the more influence you have over the form of order." Deep words from Mr. Rourke, almost as deep as the graves he digs. For Wise Guy TM joining the mafia was a way to make ends meet. "La Cosa Nostra was a big thing back home in Sicily." He said. "When you're an immigrant in a new country finding work is hard. So joining the mafia was my only option if I ever wanted to be achieve any greatness in America." Detroit mafioso Mac also joined the mafia for a better life. The Consigliere said, "All the other guys in my class growing up were good at sports, studying, or women. I suppose I joined because I like material things. I wanted to take them from all those smug bastards that looked down their noses at me since I was 8 years old, and I figured once I'd stolen their money, burgled their houses and burnt out their cars, that the women would follow." "Well to be perfectly honest it's about money and family." DonnaBrisco, a Made Man from New York answered. "Where else do you have a job where you also have a family willing to take care of you and die for you everyday? I doubt the employees at the local bank have that kind of closeness, don't you? The money is the little perk that comes along with it. I never want for anything and I never have to worry about a place to lay my head or a meal to fill my stomach. The Mafia is The Country Club for criminals. Who doesn't want to be in the country club?" **** Obits RIP, RUP, Ripples and GRHS People dying is a natural part of the human life cycle. Here were some of the more notable deaths this week, and those who will be missed sorely. SmookySmooks Made Man from the Fallen Angels Leader: Hayley Home City: Chicago Smooky, after a long and industrious career with the Chicago crime syndicate, was shot several times in a bank robbery attempt on January 15th. He was standing in line waiting for the teller, an eyewitness reports, getting ready to deposit his weekly pay. Three masked people entered the bank, and without warning announced it was a hold up. They took Smooky as a hostage, and after several moments of struggling with the man, decided he was too difficult to deal with. The robbers opened fire, riddling the man's body with a multitude of bullets before he fell to the floor. A few well wishers made their way to his funeral, among which was Fallen Angels Right Hand DravenLynn, who was overheard stating: "I hate to see you leave us this way. Please have your children contact us. You will be missed." Rest in peace, Smooks. * ChristmasPast Wise Guy from DLS Leader: FrankieFigs Home City: New York The man who impressed the world by winning the DLS Left Hand contest lost his life January 15th. After becoming what many thought was an exemplary member of the New York family, ChristmasPast offered to re-shingle Right Hand Ire's roof at home. That very day a storm brewed up, and after working tirelessly for four hours the man was struck with lightening. He reportedly was rushed to the nearest hospital where he remained in a coma for several days. Stuck with making the horrible choice, FrankieFigs finally decided to pull the plug on his friend and Left Hand. Many members of the community attended the man's funeral, attesting to his popularity and general pleasing nature. It was his leader FF, though, that made a heart warming speech by sharing Christmas' application for Left Hand with the other mourners. God rest your soul, Christmas. * resurrector Wise Guy for The Saints Leader: SaintTonyCapone Home City: New Orleans After many, many rumors that the man had become disenchanted with this lifestyle, resurrector reportedly died at the hands of his own Boss on January 14th. It seemed that young resurrector was creating quite the stir in New Orleans by speaking out against his own family. According to an inside source the man was begging leaders from other cities to kill SaintTony, because he 'didn't have any Made Men in his family'. Word got back to Tony, it seems, and the man was shortly thereafter executed for being just a general drag on N.O. and society as a whole. At a small funeral held for the man, his mob Boss decided to show up even in light of the ill-will between the pair. R.I.P., resurrector. May you find what you were looking for in Heaven. * Shadow_Demon Made Man for The Pharmacy Leader: Prozac Home City: Los Angeles Shadow went out as quietly as his name suggests. The man committed suicide on January 14th in his Los Angeles apartment. He was found later that evening by his landlord, who managed to hear the wailing from Shadow's cat, who apparently had not been fed that morning (and no wonder why). Many stated the man was "always happy" but "very quiet". It's always the quiet ones. The funeral proceedings were quite small, people only showing up long enough to say one or two words or to leave a tiny floral offering. Rest in peace, Shadow. * JCLisbon Made Man for the Guardian's Chasseurs Leader: Guardian Home City: Detroit Not much is known about JC's death on January 15th, and personally it doesn't look as if anyone cares to find out. Only one person attended the man's funeral proceedings, stating a simple "RIP" and giving a standard rose offering to the casket. In life JC was described as a man with a passion for everything, but mainly his music. "He was always singing or trying to create some sort of 'epic medley' stated a fellow Chasseur. Either way, GRYS, JC. Here's hoping that you are creating lovely music in the sky. **** Horoscopes Because Mobsters Like to Know This Shit Too It never hurts to be prepared, ladies and gentlemen, and what better way to get insight into your week than by reading your horoscope? Simply find your sign below and read what the future has in store for you! Aries--- March 21 - April 19: You have been on the go all week, dear Aries, with your mind working over time. Whether it be making new contacts, snooping around coffee shops on the off chance of scoring some secret information or debating in the streets- your brain has not had the opportunity to rest! Take some time to go wack a few informants gone awry... best to balance your intellectual side with your brute force. Tuesday will prove to be a frustrating day- just a warning! Taurus--- April 20 - May 20: You have new tools at your disposal, Taurus my pal. Namely a brand new shooting range with an assortment of guns. The Gods will smile on you this week as you train your WACK! skills, so get out there as often as possible (money allowing)! Be sure to have some fun with it, however: all work and no play can make the Ox a dull man. Or woman. Your lucky number this week will be 5. Gemini--- May 21 - June 20: Fortune has smiled upon you, Gemini! That information you were seeking presents itself in the most unique of ways this coming Saturday. Be sure to write it down- your memory will prove to be a bit tricky when you have to relate it to your Boss. Oh, and please do relate it- the last thing you want is to end up in the obits for withholding something this valuable. Visit Hatter-Madigan's Blues Bar in New York for a drink or two. Cancer--- June 21 - July 22: It is a week for family and friends, Cancer! You are in a sociable mood, and for once the people closest to you in your life are feeling the same way! Use this time to bond at the family run bar, and make sure to leave no stone unturned when gabbing! Your lucky number will be 90- make sure to use this as an answer to a question you will be asked around Sunday. Leo--- July 23 - August 22: What is this?! Love, in the Mafia?! Believe it dear Leo. Whether it be your Boss, an associate, your cat or even yourself- you will be inexplicably drawn to someone stronger than ever this week. Just be sure to keep your mouth shut about your newfound affections- unless you are more than one-hundred percent sure they feel the same way. Heed my warning, lest you want to be another marker stone in the local graveyard. Virgo--- August 23 - September 22: Oh Virgo- just go for it! That thing you have been debating over all week will finally come to a cease when you make a commanding decision. Once you have come to your conclusion, do not hesitate- follow your head and heart. Best to use this new intuition at the Black Jack tables, where you will prove to reap more than you have sown. Libra--- September 23 - October 22: You are finally in tune with the way things work in the world of crimes, Libra. Confidence gushes from every pore on your body, so best put it to good use! Start a debate in the streets, one that would surely prove to be popular- or start a business venture! Whatever you set your mind to will be accomplished- all it takes is that initial take off! Beware of a rabid pack of dogs around Thursday. They mean business. Scorpio--- October 23 - November 21: Still a bit cocky from last week, eh, Scorpio? At least you've toned it down a bit. Be sure to stay on top of your crimes this week- your Boss will be looking your way. Any slacking on your part could make or break that awaiting promotion or position you have been working feverishly for. Why not stop by Las Vegas for a bit to cool off- rumored to be a cursed city for any family that dare set up there! Sagittarius--- November 22 - December 21: You are an asshole, Sagittarius. No no, don't be offended- live it up! For once you've decided that the high road is too rocky to take- so enjoy this bout of immaturity while it lasts. Just make sure you don't give lip to the wrong superior; a scuffle late Friday night may be a warning that you've gone too far on this high horse. Eating out proves to be foolish- so find peace in munching alone at home. Capricorn--- December 22 - January 19: Usually you are full of common sense and good advice, Cappy- and this week will be no different. Just make sure to weigh each option before carelessly throwing someone to the wolves or leaving them high and dry. Some shocking news will possibly drive you to leave the mob life for good; whether it be in cement shoes or a more legit way is up to you. Aquarius--- January 20 - February 18: Ouch. You messed up, Aquarius. Somewhere along the line you dropped the ball, and now it's catching up to you in the form of a more serious punishment. It would be best just to hang your head and let your family's Right Hand slap your wrists rather than try and evade all form of reprimand whatsoever. Cheer up- it will all be over by Monday, when a highly successful bank robbery gains you back your normal praises. Pisces--- February 19 - March 20: It's time to show everyone what you are made of, Pisces. You are a force to be reckoned with. When it comes to your peers show a little muscle (both intellectually and physically!) to gain an advantage over the rest. However, when trying to sway your superiors, make sure to be diplomatic and eloquent; rather than pull your gun out to solve every problem, try talking- you would be surprised where it gets you! **** Mobsters Speak: Anonymous Surveys Nothing But The Truth WANTS the Truth!
