Oh...

And you had no time to talk to Nova and get out of his family?

*cough* bullshit
Report Post Tip
That was my reason for being with Nova. It wasn't a choice initially. Previous to that I was with Rhett, Mach, Rancid. Nova was the only one available at the time and loyalty kept me there.
Report Post Tip
so basically Nova's members are being blamed and punished for his mistakes, leaders of the past used to respect fellow mafiosos lives and not just care about training their guns.
Report Post Tip
I'm sure this is a very traumatic experience for all of you, but in my honest opinion, when you're unsponsored, you're fair game, regardless of the circumstances. That's just how I see things. We long ago established the rules of wacking, rules which our current leaders abide by, and the initial thought was always that sponsored is off limits and more relevant, unsponsoreds are up for the hunt.

What Nova did was wrong and he was punished for it. Therefore it was his mistake that left his crew vulnerable for all to take advantage. The leader that all of the ex-Blackjack members devouted their loyalty too, regardless of how they joined him, regardless of why they joined him, they all stuck by him. So even if the ex-Blackjack members had no say, and for some, no chance, that's just how things work.

Listening to the crowd in full blast, Wig steps forward again

This may be veying slightly from the arguement but,

Those who are not restricting their hitter's and allowing them to hit the homeless, if one of these members requests an invite to join you, considering the circumstances in which the late Nova met his end,

will you send them an invite?

or

Send your best hitter?

Interesting to know as some of the replies in this are quite mixed...

If they are active and want an invite, they may receive one.

It is NOT my fault teat Nova didn't have a plan in place to house his homeless in the event of his death.

As much as it pains me to say (being a member of Novas late family) there should be no ban on not shooting us if we are not sponsered. We chose Nova, we live with the consequences. We want this RPG (going OOC for a min) to be as realistic as possible yes? Then the family dies with the boss, unless they find shelter elsewhere.
Report Post Tip
so its normal to massacre innocents just to train guns even though the CL involved has already stated he was a friend of Nova and had no problem with him. If Nova's death was a result of war then maybe i would agree with this but in the circumstances i think an unfortunate situation is being taken advantage of in the worst possible way.
Report Post Tip
We all have our opinions, but what the CLs say to their own families is what goes for their own families. If SWYW decides he's content for his hitters to shoot the recently unsponsored, then they're fair game for his family. He has said his reasons, whether we agree with them or not, and he is an evil man so that is how he does his business.

Luigi is still holding a clover of garlic to ward off the evil CL.

I'll be honest, I'm not fully aware of what's going on or indeed of the history (if any) surrounding it all. No matter, this discussion is largely to do with whether it's right or wrong to shoot those supposed innocents of this event. The families of those who've died have every right to feel annoyed, perhaps even resent, towards those who've allowed such killings to go on, it's a natural reaction. The arguement that they're being punnished for their choice in leader, I don't feel, is particulary acceptable especially when you have to consider that Nova didn't exactly divulge his "identity" upon recruiting people. Nova's fault or his members?

However, I can conceed that regardless of where the blame lies, there's going to be some discontent towards his members, mainly from those who feel hard done to by Nova's actions and have the urge to vent their frustration upon those close to him since he's dead. His members. What better way to punnish the leader than to destroy his family?

I digress, who's decision is it anyway? Certainly not mine. All I know is that I'm grateful to SWYW for offering me a home during this time.

I'd leave it with this though; how many have to die before everyone's bloodthurst and anger is quenched? When every one of his former members have been killed? Makes you think...that's alot of deaths...some of whom probably had bright careers in this world before them. Right or wrong, it's the leader's choice, no one elses.

This is actually a very good thing for a CL to think about.

In particular if you are taking risks, one way or another.

Use your alliances.

Make contingency plans for the future.

Save some of your cash elsewhere.</quoteblock>

The way I see things are again simple.

If a Mob Boss does something that is underhanded to the rest of the Mob Bosses and is killed for it, then there is no reason their family should be offered protection from the others. Who knows what information the remaining family members have, there is no reason for any of them to be trusted by the other families.

Our way of life is about looking out for your own, looking after the family that looks after you, not picking up the pieces after another Bosses demise.

Nova's family may have at one time held allegiances with other families but their priority is their family, as the other families priorities is their own.

It was Novas actions that caused this not anyone elses. There is no reason the rest of the families should protect that which is not theirs.

Well actually, yes it is. "Where frienship ends, family begins" ever heard that? SWYW must make decisions that he feels will be more beneficial to his family, not a frienship with a dead man.

Taking advantage of things? That's just awful...anyone would think we were criminals!

Seriously though, I really don't see why SWYW should stick his neck out, he had no formal alliance with Nova after all.

Family is family, and what one member of a family does, affects all the other members, be it the leader or the lowest new recruit.

If a leader is killed for a truly dishonourable act, that puts a black mark on the family name, and the remaining members. They are fair game. They joined the family life knowing full well they could die because of it. There are a million and one ways to die for your family, or because of your family, this is just one of the unluckier ones.

For those leaders who wish to prevent their members from shooting the ex-members of Nova's, fair enough. That is your decision and I respect that, as will everyone else. Other leaders, however, should not even think of dictating to the remaining leaders what they should or should not be doing with their own hitsquads.

Remember, your family is YOUR family. Other families are nothing to do with you, none of your business.
