*Subayloco is wondering in the park late in the sunday afternoon, the wind is blowing so gently on his face, breathing the air so deep and slowly releasing it while walking under the trees where you can spot lovebirds and courtships how sweet it is..and most of the families are packing up their stuff for the dry picnics for the day is to end.. far on the distance you can hear cheerful voices of the kids in the playground mostly with a parent with them.. few steps ahead subayloco notice a sad kid along the path sitting on the bench, then subayloco sat beside him and ask the kid* "Good afternoon..what are you doing son?" *the child replied* "i'm writing my name on this bench" *a bit impolite child, subay loco ask again* "why is this your bench" *prompt answer* "no" *another question* "so, what's your name son?" B:"it's Conrado" S:"hello conrad" B:"it's conrad" S:"sorry" B:*silent* S:"where is your family" B:"at the house" S:"isn't it a home" B:"what's with you?" S:"a house with a family is a home" B:"not for me" B:"WHAT IS A FAMILY?" Subayloco was in a moment of silence..if you were subayloco what would you reply? WHAT IS A FAMILY TO YOU? |

The_avenger overheard subayloco asking the question and it really cought his attention.So what really is a family to me?Then it dawned to him,a family is what you decide them to be.For a "family" is nothing but another word in the english dictionary unless you give meaning to it.Now the way we give meaning to this word is often based on our personal experience,hence the different definitions by individuals on this word.Ask a child who has been abused by his own family and more often than not he or she will give you a negative definition of the word family.But try and ask someone who came from a family that is supportive and caring and most assuredly you'll get a positive description of the same word. Now there is a lot more than meets the eye on the answer to the question that was asked.Like why are there some cases when despite the abuses experinced from thier own family a person could still put a high regard on its members?Why do some who seemingly comes from a happy family somtimes go astray?We could debate the remaining days of our lives on this matter,but it will really come down to one thought and that is;A family is what an individual persives it to be. And whith that being said the avenger qietly gave way for the others to speak thier minds out. |

gameownage heard this question and for some reason, try as hard as he did to ignore, perked his interest and he wandered over whats a family to me? well, to me it's when a group of people are there for you, give you shelter, protect the the bad. a family to me is where you could be down on some cash and they would loan you, no questions asked. a family is where people converse and share idea's about the family, family members, or just anything in general. i could rant on forever but ill, ill leave it at that gameownage sat back down and waited for someone else to speak |

the tall bulky figure steps from the shadows Family are the people i can rely on whether times are good or bad, the people i trust whether genetic or this thing of ours. Family are the people who keep me going when i wonder why and the people i pick up in the same situation. Family is the thing worth living or to give up living for just to make sure they are safe. slowly dissapears back down the alleyway just the steam of his breath visible |

Family are people who you trust with your life. Family are people who you would die for. Family are the ones loyal to you when the shit hits the fan. Family never look for a way out, just a way through. |

walks over to the small crowd of people and says: Family is one of the most important things in your life, if not the most directly. Family is something that, if kept together, shall make your life feel complete. Families must trust each other because without trust; families fall. Families must have loyalty and respect for reasons that everybody here already knows. Family is a group of people who take care of each other even when things get rough; through the good times and the bad times, they are always there for each other. This goes for both Genetic families and 'business' families... then looks down at the ground, blocking all of the people around from seeing his face with his fedora. |

I like Father_TeQs description of family. It sums it up nicely. I would however like to add something. Family is the people around you. You should know them, support them and most of all trust them. Can you trust your family? Do you feel confident telling your members/co-members, from top to bottom, secret plans? I know that such things are rare now. They have long been forgotten but what a time we would have if it were the case. Former family members scurrying round like rats in the sewers trying to find ways to survive are not true family members by definiton. They are merely people who followed you to make a living for themselves. True family members would stand there, defend your honour until their last breath and never ever surrender. So I ask of you people of the streets. Would you stand and take certain death for your leaders honour? fight on for what they believed in and to protect those who stand beside you or would you rather step down, accept a invite from someone else and help clear those last loyal few who you used to call friend? |
