Mirage took a sip of whiskey from her flask and rambled to her associate, MacLeod about live and love. Mac, I need to do something to get my mind off Rourkey. I can't stop thinking about him. Dealing drugs and committing crimes isn't a good enough distraction anymore. We need to start a new racket. Do you remember what we were talking about last night in the Riot coffee shop? Lets start that. After a lot more drinking and a consultation with the Godmother at three in the morning for her blessing Mirage and MacLeod went to the streets to shout at everyone. Listen up, mobsters. We're starting a new racket in Detroit. We want your money, but more importantly you can win some of ours. You might have heard about a racket some people call Death Pool where people bet on who's going to die next. We don't want to offend anyone or focus on the negative so we're wrapping our racket up in baby blue paper, putting a pink bow on it, focusing on the positive and calling it Baby Pool. The racket is simple. We are accepting bets on which crew leader's son, daughter or next of kin will join the mafia next. Every week we'll take bets. A bet is only valid for one week because odds will change weekly and all of our next of kin will start working in this business eventually. To place a bet send money to MacLeod or me and a note with the name of the person you are betting on. Bets are won if name you picked is deceased and either you or the person's next of kin notifies us of their start in this thing of ours. There is no pay out if the bloodline does not return. Here are the odds for January 22nd through January 28th Muqtada (2 to 1) Mr_MFer (2 to1) Acute (2 to 1) FrankieFigs (5 to 1) Phantom-Ghost (5 to 1) Hayley (8 to 1) Prozac (8 to 1) JimmyTheLionHeart (10 to 1) Guardian (15 to 1) MickeyRourke (15 to 1) Marietta (50 to 1) Odds work like this, for every dollar you bet your winnings are multiplied by the first number. For example, if you bet one dollar on Marietta you'll win fifty dollars if her next of kin starts working in the mafia by January 28th. There is no minimum bet. This is a poor man's racket. Bet a dollar if you want. The maximum bet we'll accept is $50,000, but feel free to bet more with each other. This racket in no way advocates violence or homicide. In fact, we lose money if we have to pay out when a leader's next of kin joins the mafia. Everyone please get along, be friends, keep the peace and give us your money. Thank you. |

If I were a betting man, my money would definitely be on Acute. The recent elevation of Die_Clause to Made Man, plus the support he has in crucial sectors, will most probably ensure the Don's swift and bloody demise. Lucky I'm not a betting man, then. |

| Sorry I should've clarified here. Obviously Acute's death would lead to Acute's son joining the mafia for the following reason, Acute's son can not currently enter our way of life because both him and Acute are too fat to fit in our HQ at once. | |
