| A letter from my Father | Started by: TedBundy on Jan 23, '09 04:32 |
|
Dear, Everyone Concerned, As you all may know my I have made a terrible mistake what happened in the late hours of Thursday 22nd of January, I saw a leader go down and with this I thought there was a war therefore I went and took another persons life without getting full details. This was my own fault and I regretidaly am going to lose my life, I am writing this letter to apologize to all the people I have upset and I wish for my son to take my full inheritance and also not be frowned upon by members of the public. I know there was a few people who didn't think I deserved to live after the devil inside of me and then the Gods intervened by reviving me, well I guess now for those people you all got what you wanted. I hope this apology is enough for you. Signed Sonic |

Not another one....... Christ almighty people, this is the Mafia, not a fucking kindergarten. While I am sure there are a few people you may want to apologise to, the only person you should be begging for forgiveness is Muqtada, and possibly yourself for the moment of idiocy. Shakes his head and disappears down an alleyway.... |

I have to agree, Muqtada is the one you should be begging for forgiveness as he backed you to high heaven and back again then to heaven and back AGAIN. He told everyone you wasnt the person people was accusing you of being, in the end you cant hide it for too long. Looks like he has forgiven you again by lettin you into his family, you have to take the chance(s) he has given you and make the most of them. thats the biggest apology you can make. |

Personally I disagree with the two of you here...to an extent. While Ted here clearly does need to make his actions up to his boss above all, his boss is not the only individual that he has hurt. I have always been a suporter of judging each generation based on its own merits, and whether or not you agree with the publicity of this apology - I cannot help but see it as a big step in the right direction, and hopefully a sign of things to come from Ted's family line. |

II have not slated Ted at all here. I was clearly saying that he needs to take this chance/opportunity to make amends rather than saying he is sorry for he previous actions. He or anyone else cannot change the past but can make the future better for himself. I have sat and watch from both sides of the fence on this saga, and my father lost his life based on the actions of others including Teds father, which i hold no grudges and myself are getting on with life, which i would advise Ted to do. I have the upmost respect for Ted(as he already knows) and Muqtada...and of course my Deceased leader and his RHM. But there got to become a time when you realise that all is forgiven (which is indicated in muqtada's action of giving him his place in his family) and to move on. |

*takes Ted's hand It takes a big man to come out and make a public apology, even though your not your father and deserve a second chance, you still came here and made an effort, you have my respect. However, what your father done is something I hate to the pit of my heart, so for that, I lose all respect for your father, but as for you sir, everyone deserves a second chance from their parents mistake, but that's my opinion. Well first of all ^^^ random... Second, I think the two that were disagreeing with him having this speech is because it's a problem between them. (OOC) In real mafia times you kill someone who isn't ment to be kill either you die or you live ... That's it. You never have people going " Hey hey hey .... What happened" so being in a mafia roleplaying game and not playing that role seems a bit off I'm guessing. ( done with OOC) On the other hand publically apologizing has a larger outcome than just a PM, but it can go horribly wrong. By people shooting him down for being nice the person he shot might not be so nice or he could see things in a different light and get more mad. I think I'm done ranting so bye walks away |

| I agree with Cab, making a public apology not only makes me cringe with embarassment, but it also shows a sign of weakness. Forgivness should be made privately with your fathers Don, but I'm sure your father paid more than enough in death. | |

| If your father took that shot before he knew what was going on, then how did he know whether his family was even involved in this possible war that he imagined? Or that he was shooting at the right family? The apology would mean more if it was sincere and not full of contradictions. | |

What are you saying? I should be punished for my father's action He was a well respected man and even gained the rank of consig I think that's enough bloodshed for one family line. You don't understand where i'm coming from I am not here to judge I am here to submit a letter of apology from my father. |

I have ignored this all day, as frankly I didn't consider it worthy of comment. Your last statement irked me though. You can't come out here and make a speech about the sins of your father, then say that you have nothing to do with your father. That's just absurd. If you wanted there to be a separation in people's minds between generations, perhaps publishing this 'letter' in the streets wasn't the smartest move you could have made. As has been said, if there was/is bad blood between you and Muqtada, then the conversation should have been between the two of you in private. This smacks of attention seeking and of being an ill-thought-out attempt at repairing a familial reputation which seems, thankfully, to have backfired. But what do I know? I'm just a Retard. |

| Muqtada steps forward wearing a medical mask: lots of OOCitis is present in the thread and he doesn't want to catch it. Sonic made a mistake last night, his point of view in doing so is seen in the letter above. He was punished for it. It is quite unproductive to hate or hold grudges towards a dead man. More importantly, I have always believed that accepting punishment is the symbolic act through which one earns their forgiveness. Sonic has paid the price of his mistake, and I have forgiven him for it. As for his son, a new man who stands before us with nothing but a letter from his father, I say we all give him a chance to chart his own path through life and see where he ends up. | |
