To Save a Woman. Started by: DonnieTheLionHeart on Jan 25, '09 11:43
A long night had just come to an end, Donnie was clearing out the last of his customers and had started wiping down the bar top. The Lion Heart's, in Philadelphia, was a cozy little bar where many came to relax and simply have a good time. Tonight Donnie found it was taking a little while longer to close up since it had been quite a messy crowd. Tempted just to go and lie down in the back office as he had not slept a wink in over the past 24 hours he decided against it and instead I took a seat for a minute. Before he knew it he had nodded off and was dozing peacefully sitting in a booth.

Bang Bang Bang

Jumping suddenly at the banging he thought to himself "What was that, it was coming from outside.." Peeking out Donnie looked to see what on earth was occurring, Suddenly he was greeted with two more flashes of light followed by two loud bangs.

As he went to put the blinds back down and make his way to the office to stay well out of it, he heard footsteps running up to his door and a females voice screaming..."Let me in! Let me in!, They will kill me".

Knowing he should not get involved with such matters, after all he did not even know who this women on the other side of the door he was tempted not to let her in. Asking himself, "Can I really condemn her to death...?" Donnie decided it wasn't his place to do so and opened up his door to let her in. Leading her into the back office where he could tend to her wounds he realized in the brighter light who she was.

"Draven, you think the culprits are still lingering around? Did they see you come in here?" Donnie's voice was shaky as he tried to help her. His hands covered in blood from the bullet wound that had penetrated her arm just below her shoulder.

Draven winced in pain as he tied a bandage around her shoulder. "Yeah I am sure they are still there. They caught me a bit OWWW.." She couldn't help but scream out as he tightened the bandage around her. "Damn man.."

"Draven I have to stop the bleeding common." Donnie shook his head as he finished up. Looking down at her he sighed. "What have you gotten yourself into this time?"

"Me. I didn't do anything. I was walking home and they jumped out from behind the building. I tried to run and they fired a shot at me. Ok look I didn't do anything." Draven's voice shook a bit as she stared towards the door hoping that no one would come in.

"Hey it's ok. Now what to do.." Donnie wondered how he was going to fix this problem he just got drug into. Looking down at Draven he figured he had to do something.

Donnie finished off the bandage with a tight knot, judging by the look on Dravens face and the little yelp it must of been painful

"I'm sorry if it hurts love but you have to keep pressure on ir until we can get you to a hospital or a local doctor"

Donnie looks Draven in the eyes and sighs "Don't worry, Everything will be ok...I hope, I can't see anyone out there, are you sure you don't know who did this to you?"Donnie grabs a bar towel and wipes his blood covered hands

Suddenly hearing a knock on the door both of them jump. Startled Draven pulls out her gun and points it at the door.

"Donnie don't answer it." Draven's voice shook as she waited to see what he was going to do. Jumping from her seat she slid under behind some boxes.

"Open the door." A mans gruff voice could be heard as he beat frantically on the door.

Donnie looked over at Draven and motioned for her to stay put. He walked slowly towards the door unsure of what or who was going to be awaiting him on the other side. Reaching the door he paused briefly. "Sorry we are closed. Come back tomorrow."

"I am not here to drink Sir. Open this door. We need to see who else is in there." The man beat on the door again impatiently.

"Crap." Donnie said to himself as he realized that he said we.. "Think fast Donnie." He kept telling himself as he tried to figure out what to do.
Report Post Tip
He had to open the door, what else could he do?, Donnie signalled for Draven to stay where she sat, he flicked the back rooms lights off and took a deep breath before placing his hand on the doorhandle.

"I am opening the door now I do not wan't any trouble, you hear me?"Donnies head lay pressed against the door and awaited a response, a mumbling came from the otherside "Just open the door LionHeart Jr and There wont be any"

Donnie did as he said he would, unlatching the door nd opening it slowly

The door suddenly was pushed open and Donnie was flung back a bit from where he had stood. A large gruff man stood in the doorway and peered around. Three more men appeared behind him and they entered slowly peering around.

"Have you seen a women dark hair green eyes?" The first man that had entered held arm out to show a fairly short women that would have only stood about shoulder height to him.

"No Sir I haven't." Donnie looked at him hard knowing that if the others started to look around they might find Draven. Glancing towards the other that stood behind him he watched as they started to branch off a bit.

"Now you wouldn't be lying to us would you? I see you have a bit of blood on your shirt. What's that from?" The guy took a step forward.

"Shit." Donnie thought to himself. "Oh this.." Donnie pointed to his shirt and chuckled. "Bar fight earlier. Two guys beat each other up good one had a broken nose bled everywhere. I must have brushed up against it." Donnie stared the main guy down hard as he hoped that his story was believed.

"Yeah place looks like shit enough to have been a bar fight. Ok guys search the area. That is as long as Donnie here doesn't mind." The man raised an eyebrow quickly and he glared at Donnie.

"No feel free.." Donnie grumbled under hi breath knowing he didn't have a choice. "Place looks like shit enough you say." Donnie thought to himself how bad he wanted to clock him with a pool stick. Still Donnie knew 4 against 1 1/2 wouldn't work. He watched and hoped that they wouldn't find Draven. One entered the back and suddenly called out.

"Hey boss... Come look here..."

Storm is sitting in his bed reading a book when he suddenly hears some strange noices from the bar on the other side of the street. Hmm...that's Donnies bar, he thinks to himself.

Storm grabs his two golden guns with his name carved into them and runs across the street and walks in

-Hey Donnie, what's with all the noice.....and who are these men?

He glares at the men with an intense look, ready to pull up his guns at any time

He looks on the floor seeing alot of broken glass

-I suggest you people leave righ now or we will have a problem. This youngster is my family and if you've got a problem with him you got a problem with me, he says with a calm yet strict voice........

Donnie lets out a little smile at the sight of Storm, It kinda evened out the teams if anythin were to kick off, over in his back office one of the intruders was calling out

"Boss over here look what he's hiding"the man says,Donnies heart beat a little faster than usual and he feared the worst "Look at all these cigars they must be worth atleast 2k a piece" Donnie sighs , the cigars...maybe he could settle this another way "2,350 a piece to be exact! I tell you what, you can take a crate and just leave it at that? no more hanging around my bar all guns drawn."

the leader of the men nodded and signalled for his men to leave picking up a crate of cigars as he did so, just as they made for the door it all went wrong, Draven had been sat hiding for soo long she had been finding it hard to breathe, she let out a little cough, Her cover was Blown!
Report Post Tip
Draven eyes widened as she coughed. "Shit..." Draven sat still for a few as she heard the footsteps get closer. She had almost gotten out of there. Suddenly she decided to get up and slide over behind a few more boxes. "Maybe they won't see me." She shook her head knowing they were.

"Over here.. I heard someone." The footsteps grew closer as the guys kicked the boxes and moved stuff searching for Draven.

"So Donnie. Care to go ahead and call her out before I shoot you?" The Boss was standing there his gun drawn holding it out infront of Donnie. He didn't flinch or shake as he held the gun out straight.

Hearing the words, Draven stood up. Holding her shoulder she fully expected to get shot immediatly but she watched as the men that had been searching stood motionless infront of her. "Stop! Here I am?" Draven would have probably put her hands up to show she was unarmed but she still clutched her shoulder that was bandaged.
