| The Big Easy Goes Friendly | Started by: Muqtada on Jan 26, '09 15:23 |
|
A black sedan pulls up to the street corner and Muqtada hops out of it and steps up to a hastily constructed podium. Flashing a friendly smile towards the crowd which has gathered, he launches into what some would call a friendly rant. Ladies and gentlemen, for a while now I have walked these streets as a leader of a family, sorting through problems as they arise and attempting to keep everyone happily making money. Through my experiences, I have come to tire of a few complaints which seem to me to be simple pettiness unworthy of my own attention. "So and so took a hundred dollars from me" or "I caught someone trying to take the thousand dollars I was carrying with me." Why should I care about such small sums of money? And why did you have so much cash in your pocket if it's that important to you? Having to take time out of my busy day to slap someone on the wrist over something so incredibly petty is utterly demeaning to me. Realizing that he has drawn some negative attention to himself, Muqtada calms down and proceeds a bit more rationally. Furthermore, I have for a long time now walked the streets of Philly, seeing the bustling business district and thriving social scene which resulted from JimmyTheLionHeart opening his arms and welcoming the pickpocket artists of the world into his streets. I have seen that such a stance would not bring about great social strife or a ghost city as some had predicted. I have, in fact, enjoyed the extra bit of adrenaline pumping through my veins as I walk those streets, as have many others. Therefore, I have decided that New Orleans shall become the second pickpocket friendly city. If you enjoy a laugh over an inconsequential bit of money, consider yourself and your pranks welcome in the Big Easy. I ask that anyone in New Orleans not consider such actions a matter of disrespect, but one of harmless sport done in good fun. If the whole act of pickpocketing seems to you grossly offensive, you are of course free to stay away from the city and this policy will not affect you in the least. So from now on, when you walk the streets of New Orleans, you might just experience a hand slipping into your pocket and rubbing against your 'wallet.' When you do, you know who to thank. Stepping down from his podium, Muqtada wonders how many friendly smiles he remain now that his speech is finished. |

*Finishes picking through a poor old ladies pockets in time to hear the end of the speech* Nice work Muqtada. Since you first whispered the idea, yes... the idea of copying Jimmies idea, inside the HQ walls I have been fully behind it! I no longer have to travel to Philly in order to grope others without fear. Knowing that others can rifle through Mike Hunts pockets in the Big Easy without fear will certainly bring joy and happiness to the world! |

I am happy to see another city open there arms to the artful wallet lifters of our world. These people need a place where they can do there work stress and hassle free. Thank you Muqtada for offering them another safe zone. Now onto business. Seeing as another city has open up for our pickpockets I will be throwing up a sum of money for the first person to successfully pickpocket me. Thats right folks. I will be putting up the sum of 250,000 dollars. Congratulations New Orleans on joining the pickpocket coalition. |

Congratulations on this venture, Muqtada! I am always excited to see those who appreciate the art of pickpocketing open up their cities, and their pockets, to the public. Too many people despise of this activity, but I myself am not foolish and remember where I came from. When I was but a young woman thrust into this way of life, all the money I had was what I made off of using my sleight of hand on unsuspecting men and women. Gets a misty look in her eye before quickly shaking her head to clear her thoughts. As I was saying though, well done. Expect to find me in New Orleans more often! |

Gibsen stands and nods in approval Great decision Muqtada! I often enjoy a trip to Philly searching through peoples pockets and now I can do the same in the big easy. Hopefully it creates a busy New Orleans and many an empty pocket. Gibsen tucks his dollars away safely Come and get them if you can! |

| It's about time that pickpocketing is appreciated as an art & not a threat. I'm happy to hear that NO is joining Philly to adopt this rules. Great decision, Muqtada. | |

| You know Angels nickname growing up was "The big easy" but she wasn't so friendly. I take this as a step forward. Carry on. | |
