I apologise for misconstruing your statements DrTran, though you will understand why I could have read your statements as such. My "me me me" statement, incidentally, was not in reference to the way you would handle a crew, but the way you seemed to complain that to be a proper hitter you will die sooner. Of course, this too has been cleared up in your previous statement so, again, I apologise for any misunderstanding on my part. You make a very good point in that Crew Leaders like to do things differently, and of course it is this diversity that makes our thing so appealing; you also bring up a very valid case that for younger crews things must be different. I can remember only too distinctly the early days of The Cuties, hoarding every penny desperately so we would not miss the deadline for Casino bidding. However, I feel it is you that is guilty of reading things too literally here. Whilst I say that it would be far more beneficial to have say 10 hitters to 40 earners, it does not mean each member is allotted a task they have to stick religiously to. Hitters will always make money, no one begrudges them that. I am not saying 'Don't deal drugs', I'm saying 'Flying for targets is always the priority'. Equally, I am not saying that if you want to rack up some kills, you must forfeit your right to earn money. I am saying that to be considered a true hitter, to be one of the best, you have to be one of the most dedicated, one of the most disciplined and one of the most patient. Just because you are not the most focused and dedicated mobster, I am not saying that means you must never shoot anything. Cowley, your viewpoint is an interesting one. Personally, I feel it is inaccurate. The true hitter spends time when they get up making a flight plan. They plan their day's activities to the tee to make sure they can get the maximum number of shots off, circumstances permitting. This takes time. They then, upon arriving in a city, scour the streets for anything that shouldn't be there. This takes time. They then periodically check who is awake and walking around who shouldn't be, which also takes time. Despite all this, yes, there is a lot of sitting around involved, but then, until a war actually starts life in the Mob isn't exactly one hundred miles per minute anyway. Besides, if you don't have the patience or discipline to endure the minutes of boredom without resorting to taking a random flight for drugs, or wasting your hour's grace by fiddling around in someone's trousers; then you're not a true hitter! |

Great post KOOP. People can argue about the benefits/drawbacks of having earnings/BGs vs hitters all day long, but the fact is, any leader that is intent on making their mark, needs a good core of proper hitmen. Stockpiling bodyguards will do very little to increase your longevity if you aren't popular amongst the CL fraternity. On the otherhand, it's amazing just how much respect and leeway you can get from other CLs through a fear of your hitsquad. The fact is, it's actually not uncommon at all for the best hitmen to also be the best earners. Their in-built dedication means they often end up working more hours of the day than others anyway. |

Aftershock chuckles. Everyone's a hitter now a days, them and their grandmother. No one has experienced a true hitters life in quite sometime. Hitters are precise and do it all on their own, most hitters now have their friends waking the sleeping bums up and holding them down instead of how hitters use to do it. They'd find their target and do it all themself. No one person really trains a gun anymore by themself due to the killing game being all a team effort. Aftershock drops a hand full of bullets on the ground. I don't need these because the only bullets I'm going to be dealing with are the ones mean't for my boss or anyone above me who asks me to take a bullet for them. My life bloodline has always been decent at being a killer, not ever going to be the best, but not the worse, I think it's time I watch as grandmothers start waging war in time square. If you thought you had to watch your ass before, you better now. Places a cast iron shield over his ass cheeks. In case some new immigrant feels the need to show of his famed twenty bum shots. |
