When the snow finally stops falling, Louis takes to the streets, closely followed by his overpaid bodyguard, Angelo, and his brother, Sal. The trio reach the famous soap box and after brushing the 13 inches of snow off it, Gato takes the stand. "Ladies and gentlemen, this may not be the first speech based on the current abundance of bold names on our streets, nor will it be the last, but I still feel inclined to say a few words" Louis places his hands into his jacket and shudders slightly, the 'office' provided by Don Guardian proved to be nothing more than a shoe cupboard, and so The Gato Regime was instead being operating from the back of Louis's Pasta shop. The restaurant/bar was a very good front for his business, and the flames from the grill caused a lot of welcome heat to rise up into the office upstairs. And Louis missed that right now. "Regardless of what people think, what their scepticisms are or stereotypical views, their worries, moans and judgement may be, I am aware all of these people given the chance to make something of themselves has not been made blind. I wish for those who do not, to see this." "I myself am included in the line up of fresh blood, entrusted to lead others, and I must say that if it were possible for the people walking on these streets to be in every single family, they all would have congratulated the newest additions to their city hierarchy without hesitation. Such is our way of life, just because we are in another city, does not make decisions others choose upon irresponsible or reckless" "The reason for my talking out and openly to you all like this is to offer my own congratulations and best wishes, to all the new leaders in the past few days. They themselves can surely understand the work and effort that goes into setting up a crew, and though I would love to take pen and write to each of them personally, I fear my words would end up just being a repeat and feel meaningless" "I want people to be aware that these words spoken openly are not a lethargic sign of indifference towards the new Crew Leaders, but more an open letter to you all." A cold chill picks up and Louis could hear Sal chattering slightly behind him, before taking a thought for the people stood listening to him drone on "To those who don't know me, my name is Louis Gato, and though there is much to happen in the coming weeks, regardless of what that is or what it might result in, I would like to say good luck to all that have had the endurance and ability to earn a new position in this world. Should anyone wish to chit chat or even enjoy a drink together, simply post me a letter at my business address. Good-day" |

MOWF waits as Mr. Gato finishes his speech. He walks up and kindly shakes his hand. Congratulations yourself. I know how you feel when you say mailing each new leader would seem meaningless, due to the vast amount of the same types of mails. There has been a plan in place for these new auths on our streets, and as Don Phantom said in my announcement speech, we were put in place for order and oppurtunity. It gives us all a chance to show our world, despite the amount of us, that we are worth wearing this bold suit. All of us are to strive to make a name for ourselves and prove to our former bosses that they made the right decisions in putting us in our own Head Quarters. To each his own, and there will always be someone who doubts the plans set in place by the existing leaders of our cities. Everyone has an opinion, whether it is shared or not, and there is little we can do to change the opinions of the masses, but through our actions. Again, I say congratulations Mr. Gato, and to all the new auths, and here's to seeing what actions we can take to prove our worth. MOWF tips his cap to Mr. Gato, and continues on his way. |

JR walks up to Louis and MOWF and shakes both there hands. As it seems to be a trend here I would also like to express my congratulations to the both of you and also to all of the new auths. Not all of us know what they may be capable of but their family heads did when they promoted them and that is good enough for me. I think it is safe to say that we are all looking forward to the times ahead and expecting great things in the weeks to come. Congrats again to you Louis and to you MWOF and to all of the new auths. With that JR pulls out a tin full of cubans and gives one to Louis and MWOF, and then lights one up himself. |
