| Devaluation of the position | Started by: Villadawg on Feb 04, '09 18:37 |

Eighteen crewleaders??? hahaha Talk about diluting and devaluing the position of crewleader. Talk about way too much middle management because that's what you are. Sure, I'm going to be labelled nothing but a loudmouth loon, but when all I see is folks in fancy pants "shiny suits" as they call them all I do is laugh. Where did you get them? I bet someone somewhere is having a laugh at all these tards thinking they're the bees knees, "Blah blah blah....I got me a nice new HQ. I'z gunna be the real deal y'all! Yee haw!" You're the mafia equivalent of charity shops. Poor quality substitutes when a retail void opens up. People see you, might even pay you a bit of attention but all the time acknowledging the fact that you're the speshul cousins the family doesn't mention Sure there's a couple of Godpeople...big deal! Well done. Props to you and all that jizz. |

It just annoys me when civilians say this, clearly your father died without having the balls to talk up. As you said, though you put it much more mildly than I would have, you're a "loudmouth loon". You mock the leaders and their captains and say they are poor substitutes and tards, the fact is, they're worthy enough for you to comment, though you comment before prematurely, story of you life huh? I suspect you will die and achieve nothing in this life, good job. |

Why even grace this Civilian with a response? Is he worth it? No. He is but a civilian. A ordinary citizen of the cities. He has no knowledge of how our things work and will not till he actually takes part in it. I for one will not be staying here and will be moving on to much better speakers. | If he doesn't deserve time of day for knowing nothing about this thing of ours, how can there be at least 2 people in the top echelons of current families (LHM's) who's only advancement on this civilian is they have stolen an old ladies purse. Hardly such a worthy achievement to earn their way to the top of a family in 4 hours? | |

Villadog, being the son of one of the "Diluted Crewleaders," I believe I have some room to talk about the subject. They are not actual Crew Leaders, they are Captains. In order for the family as a whole, Captains included, would have more guns, more money, more numbers in general. I agree that the amount is a little much, but it is not up to me, nor my father, to decide how many Captains the Crew Leaders were to get. There is a strategy and plan to all of the new auths, and if you don't like it, well there is nothing you can really do about it. Take it in, try and see it the way the leaders of our world see it. |

Strolls up to Joker and taps him on the shoulder to get his attention. Pardon me, sir, but I was under the impression that Benjamin_Button was never a civilian, and instead was born a Don and has been ranking backwards ever since. Should be a civilian in a few weeks, perhaps. I could be wrong, however. Takes a large gulp of whiskey and spins on his heel in the opposite direction. |

Not sure what you're talking about, my friend. Great story, but I wasn't aware Fitzgerald was letting them film it. Passes his whiskey over. |

Personally with the state of affairs i do not think too many leaders and captains is a bad thing. We have watched as the streets and business districts have often struggled against the ravages of poor business owners and tardish speeches. With the closer one on one help a smaller family can give it may help develop members skills more to turn them into a future leader. We all know so much of the work is about thinking quick and dodging the police but their is more to this place and unfortunately is not something that has caught on with everyone. Many people want a shiny suit good for them, is great to have ambition but is a lot more work then it looks like from the old family diaries of my ancestors i have read. Personally the level of abuse, mail and without a good structure i am surprised some leaders don't jump out of buildings with the shit they take. A long time ago in some of the stuff i see on the streets would of got someone in a casket but now wise guys, made men even people who hold family positions happily provoke arguments as is no way some are discussions. As for should citizens be listened to, well they are tommorows gangsters so sometimes in what i may call slander is sometimes an element of truth. |

Benjamin was not once Mickey Rourke. Mickey is sadly gone from our world. Benjamin, however, is his slightly better looking, slightly better smelling son. We love him all the same regardless of who he is. I know everyone else is bring up the point that you are a thug, you don't deserve answers, you're not apart of This Thing of Ours, so on and so forth. Yet I do realize that you are voicing concerns that perhaps your Father or Mother had before you, someone of an esteemed rank hopefully, and perhaps his or her friends as well. That, and I feel it is leveled mostly at Detroit, with the current addition of four Captains, all of whom happen to be wearing bold suits. So I'll give my two cents. Or fifty cents. Maybe even a dollar. It's no secret. Everyone here, in the entire history of this world, at one time or another has coveted the position of Crew Leader. And why not? Being the Boss is a prestigious position; it signifies respect, loyalty, honor, and hard work. If you are the head of a crime organization you are someone. In the past, however, people have believed that only few deserve this rank. Deserve this 'job'. Since I started my own family, back when I was small, I have always fought for change. For something different. I have always tried to go against the grain. Whether that is apparent to you, the public, or not is not the topic of discussion here, but I have nonetheless. Multiple families in one existing crime city has been one thing that I hope people will remember me by, long after I am dead and gone from this thing of ours. I know what you're thinking. "But why? Why for? What's the point?" In my family's history I have seen some people deemed as amazing leaders do some horrible things in this thing of ours, just as I have seen people deemed as horrible leaders do some amazing feats during their time here. At the end of the road, however, people will be remembered for what they did during their 'time in office', not for their life before the bold suit, or whether or not they had deserved it initially. So why not give people the chance? My own family line stems back to Italy. Whereabouts? I don't give a fuck, I'm living in America. But I do know that on my Father's side of the family we have some existing relatives over there who are currently apart of this lifestyle. Some of them are dumber than rocks and still have the opportunity to run their own crime syndicates, under their existing family or in new cities. Why should it be different here? Why can't we have amazingly smart, well-educated leaders who shine in the streets, as well as individuals that some have never heard of to become their captains? Crew Leader is what it is, and will be different to everyone who looks at it. Don't cite examples from "the good old days" because they are gone and I hate to break it to you, they are never coming back. If we continue to sit in this state where half our community is longing for the past and half is breaking free towards the future, we will be stuck and we will collapse. It is long overdue for many to stop sighing and pining, and to turn their mindset around. The future is here, now. The future is still coming. As many men have said to their friends, in reference about a woman's nether region, I will leave you this simple sentence in closing: Do you think that maybe many of you are simply putting the "position" on a pedestal? |
