I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost Started by: WildTurkey on Feb 06, '09 04:55
Rain is pouring off the rooftops as the dust settles over Chicago. Bodies lay everywhere, blood think in the gutters. You hear a man scream in the distance... then a gun shot... the silence. It was finished. You see the entire city of Detroit standing at Chicago's city limits, united as one under The Riot! flag. You see a loan figure standing in the center of the city. You are surprised to see it is not Marietta, but Mr. WildTurkey.

My friends, I think there is a tale you should hear.

WT Takes a drink of water before continuing

Two nights ago, I was roused from my bed by Mr. Phantom_Ghost. This was not unusual, for the two of us have been friends for some time now. He asked me to come down to his Chicago Head Quarters for a chat, and I agreed. We chit-chatted about this and that for a while, till PG got to the topic at hand. He said "I need your help WT. I am planning to take down New Orleans later tonight, and was wondering if you could help." I looked at him for a time, then asked "What sorta help?" A feeling of worry had now come over me. What could the leader of another city ask of a LHM to an entirely different family and city, I was about to find out. He asked "I was wondering if you would want to help me take down Muqtada, I want you to take the shot." I was stunned. How could the leader of a different family ask something of be knowing full well the repercussions that I would suffer for such an act? He had every intention of going behind Godmother Marietta and Hypnos backs by not asking them first. I felt like a mere "puppet". But, I said "I will ask my family" and went straight to Mr. ThomasRourke. He quickly denied the auth and we watched the mess of a war that came after from our penthouse in Downtown Detroit sipping on scotch and using fast women.

Tonight Ladies and Gentlemen, you saw the aftermath of such disrespect. Asking another city's family member to take a shot for your own personal gain will put you in the grave yard. Trying to exploit a friendship for your personal gain is wrong in my eyes, for he was a leader. He knew what would have happened to me had I not been so loyal to my City and my Family.

End of the story? Nay my friends. I get into the #Undead coffee shop and am met by verbal abuse from Mr. PG. Calling me a "backstabber" and that a "ratted him out". How I ask? You expect me to throw away all that Detroit has given to me because you want your own city? Loyalty gets you a long way in this business, and I live by that. I would die for any member of Detroit in a heart beat, not for people out for their own selfish gains.

Contacting the crew members of another family with the explicit effort to deceive all the bold suits in the city is obviously going to get you in deep trouble. I mean that's just pointing out the obvious.

Slamming down his cigarette as he stepped from the shadows, DrTran said his peace

I'm not involved one way or another in this, and yes, WT and Thomas, you are both right. By doing that, he brought it upon himself. However, I remember not too long ago a Crew Leader who was killed for trying to exploit the system and double his income, and people were chastised for talking about it in the streets. I understand that the purpose of this speech may have been to inform people of why he was killed, though I don't think that was necessary. The speech sounds more like gently beating a dead horse. Thank you for informing us all about the actions of the night. I can only hope that this speech does not bring out hatred for anyone involved in this tragedy, and to anyone who also gives their two cents on this topic, I ask one simple thing, respectfully, and out of respect for all involved in this tragedy...

As DrTran turned to leave, he flipped his card to WT, having it slide between WT's hand and his glass of water...

Phantom_Ghost has paid for his actions with his life. I ask you, please, let him rest in peace. Don't beat the dead horse.

...but by the time WT had read the card, DrTran was gone, a flash from his holstered .308, and a puff of smoke from a fresh cigarette the only signs he had ever been there at all.
Report Post Tip
DrTran, I'm not sure who it was beating a dead horse for. I was unaware that all the families were informed of the reasoning for the takedown. I certainly wasn't roguely running around and talking to everyone individually on behalf of Godmother Marietta. It is no secret your line of family knows Phantom Ghost quite intimately, so I understand this is a sore thing to see, but we like to think that Detroit works with the cities, and part of that is explaining wars. I know, I know there's the argument, "You don't have to explain anything!" But we do, if we were randomly capping crewleaders I can't imagine it would be great business with other cities, with specific regard to our Detroit Tax operation.

A lot of people were unhappy with Phantom Ghost, we had our own reasons, just as everyone had theirs. It's really just a courtesy. I don't think anyone's above that.

looks on thoughtfully

shame anything couldn't of been done earlier to limit the damage to Muqtada and his family

I apologize sirs. I am quite tired from a long week, so my wording was not at it's best. I don't disagree with you explaining what happened, nor do I disagree with what happened or why. I completely agree with you both actually. My only intent was to stave off anyone who might wander into these parts looking to bad mouth Phantom-Ghost. There's no place for that in this world, no matter who dies or why. That's all I was trying to say, and again I apologize for poor wording in my response.
Report Post Tip
A very good point Thomas, but given the amount of fuck up's we've seen in the past couple of days; the masses could certainly have hypothesised.

Nevertheless, clarification is a joy, and it is much appreciated!

After listening to Mr. Turkey Sl hangs his head and sighs.

"It is a shame to see that Don Ghost has left this world as I considered him as a good friend of mine. But the reasons I heared from Mr. Turkey were completely understandable and to take down Chicago was the right decision.

Thank you Thomas and WT for the clarification."

Wanders of to go to the funerals of many fine gentlemen.

I'm totally in agreement with Mr. WildTurkey's whole speech on this matter. I wouldn't AT ALL consider you're actions "back stabbing", when it comes to violently ending another family, I too would put it before my high ranking family cohorts before acting.
Report Post Tip
It's pathetic that some bloodlines can be around for so long and still not "get it". Backstabbing? How is loyalty to your family backstabbing? It seems Mr Ghost is another one to fall victim to paranoid delusions that friendship comes before family.

a flash from his holstered .308

you do this every time you talk its a fucking .380 not a .308 a .308 round is used commonly in battle rifles and heavey machine guns and about 4 inches long i doubt your strolling around with a .308 holstered

Indeed the prem man speaks well....

OR in other words, is that a HUGE ASS GUN, or are you really happy to see prem?

Thank you for the information, WildTurkey. I'm shocked to hear about actions like that by such a well liked and popular leader.

Maxie walked away and remembered receiving letters from her older sister with a few lines about how she didn't trust Phantom_Ghost and thought he was bad for the business. The young mobster hated to admit it, but her sister was right about him.

Your sister was a smart woman maxie.

Noddinghis head in agreement, Louis watches WT speak before offering his support

"I would have taken the same path my friend, don't let anyone tell you that you are a backstabber, if you had followed through their request you would have ben one anyway, just to the wrong people."

"Let them have their arrogant views and childish scape goat, but we know the truth"

Draven looks upon the crowd that has gathered and sighs.

From all the recent events one can only think and feel as they do. Many voices are heard here on these events and some will agree and some will disagree. I think LouisGato has said it best with "Let them have their arrogant views and childish scape goat, but we know the truth".

As one of the few survivors of the New Orleans crew, you actually have my thanks, Mr. WildTurkey. Your loyalty and integrity is an example to all.
