Hello everyone. We've had quite a roller coaster ride, haven't we? Today's task will have some different rules than normal, so pay attention. The task is to write a response with given parameters. Here are the rules: -This answer will be posted in the streets. It is mostly to judge the responses. -To make it so that there still is the chance of getting something incorrect, all contestants must send me a piece of mail. In this letter, I will reply back and give you something specific. The parameters, restrictions, objective, however you'd like to describe it. -You have 6 hours from when I send the mail back to you to come into the streets and respond to your given rules; however, anyone who does not mail me by Oct 26th 03:00 will be disqualified. -Anyone who does not mail me within the next 24 hours is disqualified. You notice I'm being vague. Don't worry, it's on purpose, but you'll understand why very soon. Again, I will give you specific instructions for your task. You will then come into the streets to perform that task. I will warn you. It will seem easy, but I can assure you that this response will be under great scrutiny, and will be judged much harsher than the previous ones. I wish you all good luck. |

The Great Cthulhu steps away from the wall he was propped up against and drags a pedestal inscripted with indecipherable characters to the center of the street. Squatting down upon it, he reflects on the present task given to him by SuperNinja Rock Lee. Stretching his stubby wings, The Great Cthulhu meets the eyes of those assembled and starts to speak. Why do it? Easy enough. Somebody has to. We all pity the homeless. Wish them Godspeed in their search for a better life. Then we forget all about them until we see them in the boneyard or read about another poor soul who's been murdered in the newspaper. You know how it is. People shrug their shoulders and tell themselves that it's not their problem. Blinders on, hoping the problems that our cities face will go away by themselves. I know that a few people have seen what the eventual outcome of all this is leading to. Declaring themselves not ready to take the reins and blaze their own trail yet. I'm not quite sure why, honestly. The Gods give you an opportunity to make a difference then don't waste it. Whether you're ready or not doesn't matter much to someone who is broke and hungry. People come to this country to make a better life for themselves. Somebody needs to be there to help them in pursuit of their goals. Give them a job and a place to stay, some money to feed their children. More are coming every day. It would be a hell of a lot easier to keep the blinders on and only look out for number one. Problem is, I can't. We don't choose to live this life of ours. We are born into it. Our traditions instilled in our very souls. This thing of ours, it chooses US. To that end we do what we can to uphold its tenets. We conduct ourselves with honour and respect. If someone is hungry we feed them. If they need a job we put them to work. We take care of our own, and we don't pass the buck. Everybody dreams. Whether yours is to score the Stanley Cup winning goal in quadruple overtime or to simply climb the city water tower and see how many people you can spit on from way up there before the police snipers take you out, we all have them. People who come to these shores to make a better life for themselves and their loved ones are no different. They dream too. Maybe their dreams are as simple as something to eat and a few dollars to send home. It's inexcusable to me that so many of them end up living in abandoned cars or shot to death while sleeping on parkbenches. They are not trophies, they are men and women. They need our help. Oliver McTavish and Elana DeLuca have transformed Chicago into a thriving hub of commerce and industry. YouSuck has brought style and life back to New York, bringing it's fine tradition of entertainment and culture back to the forefront. The late SWYW and his commitment to excellence brought hope to Philidelphia. Scandia is doing the same with Los Angeles, once again the thriving metropolis; it's film and recording industries back in full swing. These fine Ladies and Gentlemen have accepted the challenge head on and have made us all proud. They have given us a perfect example of how to give back to the community and enrich it's citizens lives. They have done much and have been successful at every turn. Yes, much has been accomplished but there is still more to do. Presently there are cities in this country of ours that have no direction. No jobs or industry, no hope for the future. Empty and abandoned. We can make a change. We can make it happen. We have to. Together we can build a future for these cities and their citizens. Do I feel the need to build a modern day legacy or seek to have the greatest criminal organization ever known? Do I want children to want to grow up to be just like me or have choirs follow me around and sing my praises? No. That's just not me or what I'm about. I don't care. I won't blow smoke up your asses to try to hide my real intentions. I don't have any hidden agendas or unseen machinations going on. Quite simply I just want to make a difference. Whether through feeding and sheltering the homeless or educating the communities children. People come to this land looking for an opportunity. Let's make it happen. Let's take care of them. Let's rebuild these abandoned cities and make them great again. The great Cthulhu, speech over, tucks his pedestal under a wing and turns to the crowd one last time. The chance to make a difference is not something to run away from, but rather a challenge to be embraced. Playing it safe all the time, letting others do the work for you is the easy way out. The easy way is not our way. Our way is the path of honour, respect, and accountability. Forever. As happy hour nears, The Great Cthulhu wanders back up the alley. Grain alcohol and buffalo wings are in season. Time to go hunting. |

| Well I proably should've put my response to the task in here, but I thought it would be more like an actual speech in its own thread and all... Would've probably gotten less criticism in here. :/ | |

P.O.D. throws a smoke bomb just for the fun of it. The smoke vanishes only to reveal he hasn't moved at all. Stretching, he waltz over to Got_Milk and rests next to him. "I enjoyed writing this task but everyone seems to want to give me a hard time about it. :| Anyways how're you master milk?" |

We have come down to four players. The results are being judged, but that's no reason not to continue. I would like all contestants to mail me, and I will give them their next assignment. There is only one deadline. Request your assignment by Oct 28 03:00. All those you fail that will be DQed, as normal. Good luck to everyone, and congrats to those that have passed. |

I'd like to say a few words about the late Rock Lee. Rock Lee gave myself, and a lot of other individuals a reason to get up every morning. His Ninja contest had us chasing clues from coast-to-coast and often times chasing our own tails looking for answers (those of us WITH tails mind you). It was tremendous fun, and infinitely enjoyable. In my own experience it gave me the opportunity to make some new friends along the way. Rock Lee stuck his neck out for us, and brought something new and exciting to our streets. His passion for this contest and own hard work made it special. He gave to us his time and energy and substantial ninja knowledge. His work will not be forgotten. Thank you Mr. Lee for making this a better place for us all. Good on ya Sir. Sadly, with the late Rock Lee's passing this contest is closed. Thank you to everyone who participated and many thanks to the Memory of Rock Lee. |
