I am very fond off the contacts groups.

I would like to ask is it possible to add Symbols just like you have the city symbols as in the drop down menu:

NY> etc etc

Instead then the districts in short names?

Like: BB etc?

Yeah, this could be done. Though I'm not 100% sure all districts will lend themselves to being shortened... lets see if theres any problems...
