Smoking my cigarette I look around at all the people. So many today have a habit of proclaiming who they want authed similar to how they vote for the president. In distaste I throw my cigarette to the ground and hobble up to a soapbox. Wobbling to keep my balance I find my center and begin. "So folks, does no one else find it demeaning to the current batch of leaders and all the great leaders of pass that people can just be "voted" into getting auth? Are we meant to earn the honor to lead a family or is this just a democracy trotting around like a dictatorship? Are we just supposed to tell hallow promises instead of earning trust and power?" Jumping down I begin to walk through the masses, lighting a cigarette to calm my nerves I exhale and continue. "Do people not always stress that leaders should have street presences? The streets run barren and the few times leaders do make it to the streets sad to say, (With a few exceptions) the speeches are lackluster and run of the mill. So by conventional standards how should you decipher who get's auth when no one is in the streets talking and discussing? Is it not time to separate coffee shop chums with people who have earned their keep?" |

(OOC) Sir, if you havent noticed you are playing a mobster game. Are you under the impresstion that the mob bosses were voted in? No, they were the smart ones. They talked to the people who they needed to to get to the top. I really dont think there is a single mob the elected their boss. |

Sao stands and listens to the short man speak to the masses. After he finishes he removes the cigarette from his mouth. I do agree with you on some parts of your speech Mr. Lobotomy. However, on rare occasions the people "voted in" can be the best choices the job. On the part I agree on, I also believe that the leaders of our world should have street presence and should come out to share thoughts, or to tell tales of adventures, or anything really. As long as they are out here and proving that they do not just sit in their HQ and play Clue, or any board games that are popular these days. Gah, I need to keep up with the times...I digress... When considering possible choices of Mafiosi to get fitted for their bold suit, the people making the decisions should be looking at street presence as much as they do the other qualities that define a leader, such as leadership skills, people skills, etc. I don't have much more to say due to you already stating the things I have had on my mind, and it's good to see that a member of our society share the same views as I. Keep on little man, keep on. Sao takes another drag off of his cigarette before chasing after a beautiful woman walking down the street with her poodle. |

| Why would it matter? They have the respect of them. How are they going to show the masses they are good leaders? and why would they care about some other mobster that has risen in some crew that isnt theres? The only people that would really care about some being auth would be the people that talk to them daily. | |

Well that would have to have better ways of recording their accomlishments. Plus again. The mob bosses werent voted into there jobs. This is meant to be as real as possible. They could have Auth for **** on every member of this game and that still wouldnt get them to get auth. In the end the high ups are the ones to get auth no matter. |

She stealthily sneaks up behind Inferno Conjurer armed with a well aged medical bag. Quietly withdrawing a syringe full of her family's secret OOCitis treatment she smiles. She eyes up the perfect spot.. Left cheek, centre stage and plunges it into the fleshy buttock. Mr. Conjurer, forum? What forum? I do believe that you are desperately in need of the shot I gave you. Lobotomy is basically discussing the "Auth xxxxx for leader!" tags that many are wearing. Not voting leaders in or whether the current leadership was voted in. She reaches into her bag and finds a package of cotton swabs and hands them to Inferno Conjurer along with a pair of spectacles. No disrespect meant, but you should really pay more attention to the discussion and the location of our world that it is occurring in. Have a nice day! A bullet not put in the base of your leader's skull is a vote for your leader. Democracy is everywhere, and endorsements are the same whether explicitly vocalized or expressed through utter indifference. As for the question of any sort of practice being "demeaning" to the Family heads-- hardly. They choose to call themselves leaders, and must have gotten to where they are by asserting their power. If they are demeaned in any way, it's because they allow it to happen. If they are who they say they are, they don't need my sympathy. And if they aren't they don't deserve it. Leaders aren't the people who happen to be in charge. They are the people to be followed. |

What is this "anime" you speak of? Is it a kind of Chinese food you can find in the laundry district? Please sir, if you can provide some clarification as to what you mean I would appreciate it. No matter how you auth people by a vote or by electing by leaders needs/choices there will always be a group who says "i don't like him he doesn't do anything for the community" and is what they may say about other leaders trips to the streets or attitude. Not everyone is always gonna like or respect everyone who's authed but if some people have it tattoo'd on them, maybe they feel at least they are contributing to choice even though most lower level associates and mades etc have no real choice; which is very de-motivating |
