Kal--El, the second generation of the Superman bloodline, woke up in a cold sweat with a racing heart. He had a dream. Not a dream of nightmares with the boogeyman trying to do his best bubba act. No. He would've killed the boogeyman, and then slept with his daughter. Instead, he had a dream that featured his late great father, Kal-El the first. "Don't let my dreams die with me. Don't let my visions of a better world die with me. Don't stop telling everyone how handsome we are, and compared to us, how ugly everyone else is. We were blessed with features rivaled only by God and Jesus. Most importantly my son, don't let my ambitions of an unmatched legacy fade away...." "Don't let my ambitions of an unmatched legacy fade away...." "Legacy fade away...." He knew how handsome he was, and dammit he wasn't afraid to let the world know. Because it isn't arrogance if no one disagrees. But the last sentence hit home. When he thought about it, it felt as if someone was holding his heart in their hand and squeezing with the force of a million My Little Ponies trampling The Farm in NY. You see, Kal--El's father had dreams of being the greatest mafioso to ever live in this world. If he couldn't be the greatest, he damn sure was going to be second. The young man, still sitting on his bed, didn't know if he could carry out such demands. Sure he had it easier than his father. Sure he had the support of many, many great people. Especially the beautiful red hair hazel eyed duo his father grew close with over the last few days. The man named after a beverage that contained no pulp helped set his father straight in this world, and if he was going to try to live out his father's dreams, that was the man he needed to go see. He got out of bed, brushed his pearly whites, combed his jet black hair that needed no gel or grease, and threw on his finest attire. Before leaving the house, he looked at the poster of someone he envied. It wasn't a jealous envy, more of a 'he has the throne and one day I want to sit on it' kind of envy. After his morning ritual was complete he headed for the door. As the door knob was turned and right before he opened the door, his house phone rang. Usually he would walk out of the door in this kind of situation but something told him to pick it up. "Hello?" "Is this The Handsome One known as Kal--El the second?" "Yes, it is I, The Handsome One known as Kal--El the second. May I ask who's speaking?" "It's the King GOAT. Why don't you drop by my HQ today, say, in the next hour?" Before he could answer he heard a click on the other side of the phone. He thought to himself, "Fuck! I wonder what I did."
