| Be my Married Valentine. | Started by: JimmyTheLionHeart on Feb 11, '09 12:46 |

Jimmy had been pacing back and forth all day. With valentines fast approaching, he knew who he wanted as his Valentine. The only problem is she was hitched. He thought to himself had she had been hitched to someone outside of the family, this would have been a easy task. He would have just whacked the motherfucker and ran off with his wife. This was different. She was hitched to a member of the family. A member who had been nothing but loyal Jimmy contemplated listening to the angel and devil sitting on his shoulders. Both edging him in a different direction. He figured to himself what the heck. He was only asking for a little company, not like he was just trying to get into her pants. See he was a gentleman, a soft caring full of hugs gentleman. He left his Head Quarters and made his way over to the woman's house. As she knocked he could hear her angelic voice through the wood carved door. She slowly approached the door and opened it. Jimmy's neck tightened. He could feel the sweat slowly accumulating and his breathing grew rapid. Finally the door opened and the woman was starring him right in the eyes with a large lucious smile |

Mr. Lionheart! How delightful to see you! Nikki opened the door wide and gestured for him to step into her modest home. Come in, come in. Can I get you some tea? She swept back into her living room, and quickly picked up the scattered papers that blanketed her coffee table. Clearly she was working on another street speech. Another call from the peanut gallery, she thought, and a smile tugged at her lips. In reality, she was working on a plan for Jimmy, and now that he was here, perhaps she could cover the more minute details with him. It wasn't often that the Godfather made personal visits, so she made sure she'd let him know just how hard she was working for him. To what do I owe the pleasure? |

| He was still nervous. He tried to speak more than once and found himself grasping for words. He touched his throat and decided he would ask her for a glass of water. As she made her way to the kitchen sashaying that sweet ass he tried to regain composure. He grabbed the handkerchief from his pocket and wiped away at his forehead and face. He could hear her humming in the kitchen as she slowly made her way back. He took a seat and waited for her return. Noticing the picture layed out across the room of her and Brick_Pollitt, he became nervous again | |

Nikki made her way into the kitchen, where every woman belongs, and grabbed a glass from the cabinet. She turned to Brick who was making dinner, like a good husband should, and whispered: The Godfather of Philadelphia is in our living room! Nervously she filled the glass with an ice cold carafe of water from the ice box and winked to Brick as she made her way back into the living room. Here you are Mr. Lionheart. Nikki flashed a winning smile and sat down opposite of the most renowned man in all of the seven cities. Is there anything else I can get for you? What brings you by today? |

Brick appeared from the other room, he was still drying his hair after getting out of the shower. He was partially dressed, a pair of pants and a t-shirt, but not dressed for company and certainly not for his Godfather. Upon entering the living room, he spotted Jimmy and immediately approached. Godfather. I'm so sorry I'm dressed this way. Were we expecting you? He looked at the sweat, by this time pouring from Jimmy's head, and handed him the towel. Is it warm in here? Would you like me to open a window Godfather? He rushed over and opended the window behind Jimmy, then sat on the chair across from him - then he stared at Jimmy. |

He smiled as he took the glass of water. He took a sip and slowly set the glass down on the table while making sure to use a coaster as to not damage the finishing of the table. Noticing Brick_Pollitt entering the room his face quirked a bit. Now the pressure really began rising. He decided that he needed to get it out Miss Phoenix I wish to spend Valentines with you. As for you mister Brick_Pollitt I have a proposal for you. I would be willing to offer you 1million dollars to spend Valentines day with your wife. Now normally I would have shot the person and just taken the wife, but you sir have been a valuable asset to the family and have worked hard for me from day one. Think of what 1 million dollars could do for you and your kids. Think of what a refusal would do if the kids had no more daddy. He slowly nodded his head towards Brick_Pollitt giving him a moment to think about the proposal over |

Nikki's heart thumped loudly in her chest, certainly everyone in the room could hear it. I... um... Nervously she looked over to Brick, when her brow furrowed as she looked at his contemplative face. He couldn't be considering this... could he? How does one refuse a Godfather? More importantly, did he want to? He had been obsessed with money lately. |

He could do nothing but continue to stare. Here was the Godfather, in his house, asking Brick to allow his wife to spend time with the Godfather himself. He sat thinking for what seemed like forever. How could he politely tell the Godfather to Fuck the hell off. He looked at Nikki, and she back at him. She wasn't really considering this, was she? Godfather... But Brick paused again. Brick had been obsessed with money lately. His wife's spending habits had inched them closer to debt, but he had some business dealings that were sure to pay off. He didn't need the money. And certainly wasn't going to take cash for his wife's virtue. ...you're kidding me, right? He determined that it had to be a joke. But just the same, he started sweating, and took the towel back from Jimmy. He thought about that will that he hadn't yet written, who would run his businesses when he was dead. But most of all, he thought about Nikki. For love or money. He chose love. No sir. I'm sorry. |

Nikki tried to keep her face composed. How happy she was that her husband stood up for her in the face of the most dangerous man the cities had seen in a while, and in the face of the money they so desperately needed. However she was sure that Brick's choice had sentenced them both to a watery grave. How ironic. Nikki didn't even like seafood. She stood up, and sat down next to Brick, leaning in close as he put his arm around her, both of them expecting the worst. |

Jimmy smiled a devilish smile. He pulled his gun from his overcoat and slow set it before him. He smiled at Nikki as he slowly turned his look towards Brick_Pollitt. His face changed as his eyes met with his. I understand good sir that you are doing this for love. But what about the love of your children? Would you really sacrifice yourself and your wife leaving your children parent less? I will make you a final offer in the amount of 5 million. Think of the future this leaves your children. I know you have debts. Everything makes its way to me through the grapevine. Those bookies over on 10th are still pissed you have not paid them back. Think of how this money will help put you back in the black in the books. As for you Miss Phoenix should you agree and your husband does not I will offer the money to you . I know how you love to shop and this money would allow you to do so into the next decade. I leave this final offer to you both He leans back into the couch and slowly scans over them both with his eyes. He then looks outside at his 2 bodyguards who are waiting for him to return |

Now it was Nikki's turn to sweat. She stared down at the floor and noticed the worn toe of her otherwise shiny black pumps. Oh how she did need new shoes. "Stop that," she thought to herself and chastised her own mind for even thinking it. Five million dollars. They certainly needed it. Brick's debts were stacking up, and even though his get rich quick by making other's poor quickly scheme was starting to pay off... it wasn't paying off fast enough. Oh who was she kidding. She knew Brick had taken out a large life insurance policy on her the day after they were married anyway. Money, money, money. That's all it was to him. Nikki began to cry and wondered how many new pairs of shoes it would take to wipe away her tears. |

MrsButterworth is walking by when she hears some commotion. Ducking under a window to eavesdrop, she cannot control her impulse when she hears the Godfather's latest offer. She stands up and shouts into the window "Take the money, girl! No man is worth five million!" |

| Startled by the voice coming from the window, Jimmy quickly turns his head. He relaxes when he see's its MrsButterworth, the women who owned the coffee shop around the corner. He smiles at her and gives her a thumbs up and turns back towards Brick and Nikki | |

Nikki pursed her lips at the window voice and turned sharply to Brick, taking his hands in hers. You are. You're worth it. I hope I'm worth it. I hope I'm worth more than five million to you. I know that Sal_Giaquinto wants to lease me out, but not you too. I thought we did this whole thing for love, not for money. I'd rather be swimming in debt with you than have to give this up out of fear. I'd rather be swimmin' wit da fishes than to know you could put a price on our love. Her eyes looked to him pleadingly. Hopefully he had the right answer, and a new pair of shoes. A girl could only hope. |

Brick sat back in his chair at th sight of the gun. He knew the Godfather meant business, and Brick closed his eyes. Godfather... He began to speak, but again paused. It wasn't because he was thinking, it was because some crazy passerby was yelling into his window. Shut up. Clearly you haven't met the right one lady! Then he pondered the Godfather's question anew. It was always about the love or the money. And sure there was a time in Brick's life where it was all about the money. And sure there was a time when he gambled away everything he owned on the ponies, but those times were behind him. Though he did realize one thing. He should stay out of Jimmy's casinos. They're clearly rigged. And with that, he responded with as much respect as he could garner, despite everyone in the room being well aware of the anger that was seething through him. I wouldn't agree for 1 million, I won't agree to 5. Keep your money. I would be able to live happily with Nikki if we lived on the street and had to beg for food. And he knew the Godfather could make that happen. But he also knew that would be the least likely scenario. The most likely being a bullet, from that gun staring at him atop the table, to the head. And while Nikki had heard about the life insurance policy, she didn't know he'd actually taken it out on himself, which would make her a wealthy woman, and any children well taken care of. The bottom line. The risk was worth the reward. Who wouldn't choose NikkiPhoenix over a few million bucks? and with that, he apologized yet again. I am sorry, Godfather...but I cannot. He looked to Nikki But I cannot speak for Nikki. She is her own woman, and obviously capable of making her own decisions. I'm just a husband, trying to start a life with his wife. |
