Well because a legacy bloodline exists, does this mean the rest of us should give up, and not even try to make a name for ourselves?  

"Let's look at something this way.  Okay, say my ancestors were lazy and mildly working, scraping by earning, but looking back in their journals, I decide to better myself in this world of ours than by the example my ancestors had left.  Does this mean I should be judged and given promotions (or withheld promotions in this case) based off my ancestors?  Should my hard work and efforts alone be judged on how my promotions are given, or will I forever be judged by my bloodline?  Now I realize this does not happen to my knowledge, which is my point.  I would not be judged for any laziness based on an ancestor, so I do not see how it would be any different to allow a legacy bloodline to be promoted based on anything but their current situation."

When we have put in time and effort to get somewhere in this life, but just because someone has bonds, and ties to someone of leadership, no one should be pushed aside to allow room for the kin of a legacy to be promoted with ease.  What qualities does this say about the leader?  'Work your ass off for me, BUT fair warning if my close friends, who are a legacy in this world of ours, come back and join my family, I will promote them no problem, but you may continue to earn my trust, and show me how dedicated you can be through hard work.'   Now if this is the way it works, why would anyone care to work hard?"

If the number of days mostly determine the promotions, why does it need to be determined by the leaders?  Why not let it be automatic promotion like up to Wiseguy?
