To claim a give-away credit (like the free credits given away on irc) you must be ranked Gangster or above - OR - have a gun.  This ensures that work has been put into an account which will greatly reduce those who are attempting to game the system.

Claiming a credit with a dupe account will result in an admin wack and a 1 year ban for your location and everyone who has played at it, including all locations you played at, and everyone who has played there,  your devices and everyone who has used your devices.  You will also forfeit every unpaid credit in your account.

I know the above is harsh, but this is to ensure that everyone plays fair - the system only works when the guy next to you is just as honest as you.

We give out about 250 a week on IRC.  In the past we really didn't have problems until recently where it appears a dupe was claiming a credit, suicide, making a new name, claiming a credit, suicide,  rinse repeat.

By limiting it to only gangsters+, or those that have a gun - this makes the effort required to claim one not really worth trying to cheat for - while at the same time making it not affect those who are playing legit 99.9% of the time.
