In the past there have been a few things that will deposit money into your bank but not tell you what or why, now there will be logs of these in the banking Transaction Register. A link to this may be found on the Banking page.

For everyone: When cash based market listings deposit to your account, there will be a record.

For crew leaders: When your members vote, the bonus cash is no longer added to your cash on hand. Instead there will be a nightly deposit to your federal bank, with a record of course.

For people who refer a new player that is Earner or below you receive 2/3 of what they pay in taxes as a bonus. (This does not take away from the CLs taxes.) You will now get a nightly record of how much your referrals earned you. Keep in mind, most referrals who make it past Earner make their referrer nearly $1M cash.
