Godfather Guardian wanders out into the street from the Chicago Headquarters in the South Side. With an announcement awaiting, his heavies waste no time in firing a couple of attention shots into the air to cool the flow of incessant chit chat streaming from the street banter. Silence....much better! Well, finally, it is upon us. A day I have long struggled to visualise, yet a day I have thought long and hard about in recent times! Of course, it is an absolute honour to be named Godfather, especially in such a prestigious city. It's been 4 months of hard work, guiding my upper structure through times of war and times of peace. Hard work, but a pleasure all the same due, in the main, to great family by my side. There are many thanks to be made, but that will be saved for another day. Something else is upon us that I find just as exciting and just as rewarding after all these months. Guardian looks round at his former Right-Hand, pondering for a second, clearly hesistant at the thought of losing such a skilled Right-Hand, yet clearly delighted for his friend. A stand-up guy, a brother, a friend and a lover to all - yes, men and women - El_Nino has stood by my side for as long as I care to remember. There is no one else I'd rather have made this journey with, but sometimes you have to let go in order to prosper. Today is the day that El_Nino takes control of his own family in the Windy City, alongside Stapled and I. He will now be responsible for the day-to-day running of the family I have grown to love. He has been a stalwart over these months, his advice and support invaluable, his hard work for the family priceless, his comedy needing work, but there's time. I can't exaggerate my delight at the situation we find ourselves in, he truly deserves this opportunity and I know he will do a sterling job. I can't wait to continue our work in this fine city. Congratulations brother! Guardian steps back, no longer able to hide the delight from his face as smile breaks out. He embraces El_Nino, completely man-style! |

Well Guardian, as you said its been four months of hard work. Kicking your butt to make sure you made the decisions necessary, keeping you working hard to get to the position you have now attained. As to the new family, I hate to say this but there isn't one. We are an extension of the godfather family and really just another cog in one big Chicago family. However we will need a new name because the Boss has taken his with him, but I will leave you in suspense regarding that. I have an appointment with a chap so I can work on my humour and comedy.
