Story of a dirty cop, part I Started by: SirSammyRourke on Feb 23, '09 21:05
Looking down at my watch I realized how late it was, I needed to get back to the headquarters. Boss might think something went wrong with that meeting I went to for him. Wouldn't want him thinking that, I remember the last time he thought someone was trying to pull a fast one on him... Boy did I feel bad for that kid! Ahh what was his name, Donny I think it was. Let's recap shall we?

Ahh 'twas the summer of 1929, a fresh shipment of immigrants had just come in from over seas. I was at the dock, in the shadows smoking a cigarette, casually glancing over the hundreds of people. Wasn't really looking for any one person imparticular, just thought I might see if anyone would fit in our family. Needed a couple of new faces, and brute muscle for some.... jobs that needed to be done. I happened to look over this one man, didn't really think much of him at first until I did a double take. The man had a scar on his forearm that looked like he had been tortured or something...

Intrigued I walked up to the man, and by some chance he happened to speak pretty good English. "Welcome to America! Care for a smoke?" I asked him, the oh-so-generous person that I was. He accepted and grunted a quick "Thanks sir" Impressed at the showing of respect, I pulled him over to a spot where there wasn't a chance of being overheard. "Listen, I need you to meet me somewhere later on okay? Round about ten lets say, just a formality really, I think I may have a job for you" He nodded and said "Sure, where do you want me to meet you?" I mulled it over and decided that the back alley of Dom's would be fine. "Alright kid, there's a place downtown named Dom's, can't miss it, and if you do, ask anybody and they'll be able to direct you there. Once you get there, go up to the bar and ask for me" With that, I turned and walked swiftly out of sight, hoping he would be there.

(OOC: Switching of the characters now)

I was down at the docks, mingling in trying to seem as if I fit. I knew there was supposed to be someone here from the Fanelli crime family, I just didn't know which thuggish looking person it would be. Running my hand through my greased hair, I figured I had as good of a shot coming out of this alive as the Red Sox had winning the series.

Looking up I saw a man walking towards me purposefully. Could it have been this easy? Wearing ripped clothing and looking tough was enough to draw them out? Would he lay out family secrets, admit to being a mobster right here in public?!? Offering me a cigarette, and proposing we meet up later was all I got from the visit. Curious, I wonder what there was to lose by going to this meeting. Well, it was possibly the mob I was dealing with here so possibly my life. But if I didn't figure out this case I would be fired for sure.

I decided to call in to the higher-ups for guidance. "Hello, I have a problem here" I was met with a sigh and "Security pass phrase please?" I rolled my eyes, did they always have to be so formal? Who else would have this number besides a member of our office. "Long live the dynasty" I replied. "Excellent, now what seems to be the problem? I thought you were supposed to be getting into that crime family and exposing them from within?" I explained to her my situation, whether this could possibly be a trap, etc. "Go to that meeting, get in with their guys. Get trusted, get known. Most importantly, don't break any laws whilst doing so. We can't be caught and known as dirty cops."
