| Tax Season Begins | Started by: NikkiPhoenix on Feb 26, '09 01:22 |

The Mardi Gras celebrations had been a success with drunken revelers and late night parties and events. Even the police worked around the clock to crack down on the bums who were too lazy to come out and join in the festivities, instead passing out on the streets or in secluded alleyways. Sal_Giaquinto was pleased, and that certainly made things in New Orleans run smoother. Life was always better when the boss was happy. But now with the holiday over, it was back to the matter at hand. The tax on visitation to New Orleans and Philadelphia was back in play. Sal had come to Nikki that afternoon. "Make it known," he said, "that we appreciate everyone visiting for Fat Tuesday, but now if the Made Men and higher want to visit, they've gotta pay the price." And so Nikki found herself slipping the newsboys on the corner the copies she'd had mimeographed along with a few notes to keep them happy. Their shouting would let anyone within the city know the update in the news. And for the money she pressed into their palms they began loudly screaming. EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! New Orleans leader Giaquinto announces the start of the city wide visitation tax for Philly and the Big Easy! Read all about it. Taking one of the papers from her own stack, Nikki peruses it one last time.

| As Jimmy left the HQ this morning he could not help but hear the paperboys yells. He slowly made his way over, tossed the kid a coin and took a paper from him. He slowly smiled as he saw the fine work Miss Phoenix had done | |

Ahhhh...it must be....Mon..Tue...wait, Thursday if some drunk thug is hitting on my wife. Brick shakes his head and watches Keywork stumble away. Part of me wanted to come out here and curse and threaten the young thug for disrespecting Ms. Phoenix, who simply came out here for an announcement. And for disrespecting the man she's married to...me. Then, however, I recalled that this poor soul is the bastard son of RourkeyRourke, and simply had no chance. So, I say welcome to the world. And if you want to come to New Orleans to see Ms. Phoenix, it's free for you since you're a thug. And your father has a lot of work to do with you to meet his standards of wit and humor. Until then, good luck. |
