After some solid detective work undercover, RourkeyRourke sits down at his typewriter. He pours himself a glass of whiskey and begins typing up a story for the front page of the day's paper.

A transsexual Mafia boss has been arrested by police in what is believed to be the first case of its kind.

Die_Clause, 18, who insisted on being called Kitty, was held by armed officers in a raid which also saw 27 other mobsters arrested.

Die_Clause ran a sophisticated drugs and prostitution racket and his clan had dozens of members.

His mugshot showed him as thickset and butch-looking but he also had very defined plucked feminine eyebrows and was wearing lip stick when held in Naples.

The southern Italian port city is a popular destination for British holidaymakers en route to Sorrento but is also home to the local Mafia, known as the 'Camorra'.

A police spokesman said: 'We have been on Kitty's trail for several months and it is the first time that we have ever arrested a transsexual Mob boss.

'We think it is also probably the first case of its kind in the world.

'He was born Die_Clause but told everyone to call him Kitty - he is very burly but at the same time you can tell he is trying to be a woman.

'He was a key figure in the Camorra and ran a drugs and prostiutio racket out by the airport.

'We had tried to arrest him earlier this week but he escaped but thanks to good police work we found him and arrested 27 other Camorra members.'

Traditionally the Mafia has been a haven of machismo although there have been gay mobsters in the past most famously Camazotz 'No Name C' Johnson who was gunned down in New York in 1928 for being homosexual.

At his murder trial Mafia hit man Anthony Capo, a former soldier for the New Jersey-based DeCavalcante family testified that he killed Johnson after finding out about his secret life.

He said: 'Nobody's gonna respect us if we have a gay homosexual boss sitting down discussing La Cosa Nostra business.'

Luigi Romolo Carrino, a top Mafia author, based in Italy said: 'There is a lot more homosexual activity in the Mob than you think but it is very discreet.'

Rusko looks Rourkey up and down and wonders what part of the leather gimp suit was "discreet" :P

Rourkey nods in approval at his article and begins typing another.

Stone-cold reputed Mafia hit man Lia_Vazzi had one request when lawmen arrested him for five murders - he wanted to kiss his 95-year-old mother goodbye one last time.

"He thought he might never see her again," NYPD Detective Steven Kaplan testified Thursday at an evidence hearing in Brooklyn Federal Court. "We had no problem with that. We let him kiss his mother."

Prosecutors this week revealed that in addition to the murders charged in a federal indictment, Vazzi dissolved the corpse of Hollowpoint's neighbor Brian Rourke in acid after he was slain in 1980 for killing Hollowpoint's son in a traffic accident.

Vazzi, 62, was chatty during the ride to Manhattan from his mother Jennie's house in Howard Beach, Queens.

He claimed to be a Yankees fan and described the late Hollowpoint as a "man's man" who put his son in charge of the crime family because of "nepotism."

Judge Jack Weinstein threw out the statements, ruling they were irrelevant.

The judge scolded Vazzi, a high school dropout, for being a slow reader of the voluminous transcripts.

"You should have gone to school like your mother told you and you'd be a good reader," Weinstein said. "Didn't she tell you to go to high school?"

Vazzi nodded and chuckled.

After hearing from a few sources, Rourkey begins penning another article on BrianRourke's time in the Mafia

Sly Cooper, who has helped bring several bosses to justice, said: "Being gay is still a taboo for Italian society in general, let alone the Mafia, which is an archaic organisation.

"These bosses have to cover their homosexuality; they're afraid because they risk being ridiculed and killed."

Mr Cooper said that the American Mafia had "a more broad-minded attitude towards gays and so gay bosses can come out."

Rourkey nods happily noting this article will fit nicely on the third page of his paper.
